Chapter 6: Little Uncle, Let Me Go

Author: Yingtaohongle
Lillian Veblen felt increasingly embarrassed as she tried to wriggle free, but she dared not make any big movements for fear of disturbing her in-laws at the dining table. The more she struggled, the more audaciously that pair of wicked feet seemed to act, even rubbing against the inside of her thighs from time to time, causing her face to flush with embarrassment over and over again.

"Mom, Dad, I'm full. I'm going to work now," Lillian Veblen quickly finished her breakfast, stood up, and said to her in-laws.

Her father-in-law, Elliot Coleridge, nodded, signaling that she could leave.

Just as Lillian Veblen turned to go, she heard her mother-in-law's discontented complaint behind her. "Really, no manners at all. The elders haven't even finished eating yet, and she leaves on her own!"

"Yeah, Mom, don't take it to heart," her sister-in-law, Maggie Coleridge, chimed in supportively.

Lillian Veblen gave a cold smile. She had long been accustomed to her mother-in-law's disdain and her sister-in-law's hostility after two years of marriage into the Coleridge family. They had their reasons for disliking her.

As the daughter of the Veblen family, there was originally an engagement between her family and the Coleridge family. Before marrying her husband, Nelson Coleridge, she was actually the fiancée of the eldest son of the Coleridge family, Bernard Coleridge. Back then, because she was the Veblen family's precious daughter, her mother-in-law, Melissa Coleridge, would always warmly welcome her every time she visited, treating her with great hospitality.

However, before her official marriage to Bernard Coleridge, during a friend gathering, she was drugged, and when she woke up, she found herself in bed with the second son of the Coleridge family, Nelson Coleridge, in a hotel room. This incident was caught by the media and spread like wildfire. Both the families had no choice but to marry her off to Nelson Coleridge. Since then, her mother-in-law's opinion of her had drastically changed. Melissa Coleridge believed that she was shameless, having an engagement with her elder son, yet still sleeping with her younger son behind his back.

Even though she reluctantly accepted Lillian Veblen as her second daughter-in-law, a thorn remained in her heart. As for why her sister-in-law, Maggie Coleridge, disliked her, it was because Lillian Veblen was originally the fiancée of her husband, Bernard Coleridge, and her superior background made it hard for Maggie Coleridge to like her.

Lillian Veblen went to the garage, found her car, and just as she was about to open the door, a man's arm suddenly pulled her into an embrace. "You smell so good!" Armand Coleridge wrapped his arms around her from behind, taking a deep sniff near her neck, and sighed contentedly.

"Uncle, let me go!" Lillian Veblen's face changed, and she instinctively struggled.

"Little vixen, you really have no conscience. Who was it who came to your rescue several times at the dining table, and you've already forgotten?" Armand Coleridge did not loosen his grip; instead, he tightened it, bringing his exceptionally handsome face closer, his captivating eyes filled with a hint of playful mockery.

"What do you want?" Lillian Veblen frowned impatiently, afraid of being seen by the Coleridge family's servants, yet not daring to shout at him.

"Don't you know what I want?" Armand Coleridge held her slender waist tightly, pulling her soft body closer to his, his fiery gaze fixed on her, a lazy smile playing on his lips as he countered.

Lillian Veblen's heart tightened, and she hurriedly reminded him anxiously, "Uncle, don't do anything reckless!"

Being so close, Lillian Veblen could clearly feel his breath and the scent of desire emanating from him.

"So what if I am reckless?" Armand Coleridge's lips curled up, forming a playful and mischievous arc, his eyes deep and seductive.

"How is the surgery going?"Accompanied by Vanessa Luke and An Zihao, Lillian Veblen rushed to the ICU ward where Mo Yuezhen was lying. Armand Coleridge had just wheeled out of the chief doctor's office.Armand Coleridge's gaze swept over Vanessa Luke and An Zihao; they nodded at him, and he nodded back in acknowledgment. Time had passed, and Vanessa Luke and An Zihao now had a child, and the naive feelings Vanessa Luke once held for Armand Coleridge had long since dissipated."The surgery was successful, but..." Armand Coleridge hesitated, his words trailing off."But what?" Lillian Veblen anxiously pressed."But he hasn't woken up yet, and the doctors aren't sure when he will. It could be a day, a week, or even a year, five years... or maybe he'll never wake up!" Armand Coleridge sighed softly.Lillian Veblen felt a jolt in her head, as if something heavy had struck her chest. "You mean... he might become a vegetative patient?""That's what the doctor said," Armand Coleridge n

It was that bitch Lillian Veblen and that lawyer who colluded to take my share! I'm just asking them to return what's mine.
