Carolina And The New Beginning

I can feel the wind blowing while I lay down on the green grass. It’s been six months since I’ve broken up with my first love and it feels like nothing’s the same anymore. I shouldn’t be feeling this way.But yet I do. Just feeling lost in my own skin and I just can’t let it go. Sometimes I feel so sick of myself. Everyone keeps getting everything they want. I just feel full of humiliation and confusion, but no one understands me. Well, no one in my family. Am I just overthinking it all? As we drive through our town, the wind rushes through my hair.
