Chapter 15 A Year Later

I feel the rapid beating of my heart against my chest, while sitting on the bathroom floor. I try biting my lip to stay calm. This is the second pregnancy test I’ve taken today. The first one showed two lines, which indicates positive in the directions. I just needed to take another to be sure before breaking the news. It feels like forever to wait for the results in the test because I’m so anxious. I look in the mirror and think back about how wonderful the past few months have been.

Marrying Jack was unbelievable. It all happened so quickly for us. Falling in love, getting married, and now if this is real, then we could possibly be on the edge of having a baby, nine months from now.

I look down at the counter to see if the test has been completed.
