Desdemona

White.

That's the color I see when I open my eyes.

Molly.

I spring out of the bed but end up getting wrapped up in masculine arms.

"Calm down,"

Kevin. "where is she?" I ask already feeling breathless. If anything happens to my daughter,I don't believe I'll be able to live through that.

"She is now sleeping." He informs me smoothly.

"What happened?" Before he replies, I add, "Please take me to her."

The doctor approaches. "You're awake."

I rush to him and take both his hands in mine. "Where is molly?"

"Let's talk first?"

In his office,

"Your daughter is suffering from arrhythmias." The doctor states as if that was a common term that went around in an office everyday. Or something you'd talk about over coffee with a friend.

"Um…"

"It's a heart condition whereby the heart does not beat normally." He continues to explain.

"Can it be treated?" That's the only thing that matters.

"Yes. But in her case,we have to keep an eye on her and see how she progresses."

"What do you mean?"
