Chapter 6 - A Life in Me

Maya hunched over at her dining table, gazing at the screen of her phone. She’d spent the last hour in the chair looking for a private clinic on her phone and attempting to locate one that was open on Sunday. All except a few of the hospitals were closed, and she did not wish to wait till Monday.

She was having some stomach problems. The nausea and dizziness particularly was getting worse.

After another few minutes of searching, she’d managed to locate a clinic which still had available appointments. It was close enough to her apartment, so she immediately scheduled a general check-up.

The clinic Itself was quiet and small, located in another section of the city. Maya sat in to sign in at the front reception, completing some forms, and waited. Her head was down, thumbing aimlessly through her phone, but she was not actually looking at anything, so much as staying occupied.
