Gavin's POV

Her overwashed corporate blazer and overwashed pants. Her red hair packed in a bun behind her. She was not Lucy’s friend. She was a stranger. A beautiful stranger.

“Who are you, lady?” I asked the third time. My gaze was locked on her eyes. The beautiful toffee-brown pair had an interesting allure to them. It captured me and trapped me to them.

She swallowed uneasily. Yet, she didn't flinch from my intense gaze. “Lucy Radcliffe’s wedding planner, and if you don’t mind. I need to leave.” She said flatly. She turned and aimed for the doorknob. I held her arm gently and returned her to me.

“So you are the event planner Lucy plans to torment today,” I smiled, recalling my conversation with Lucy about her wedding planner.

“Yes.” She answered firmly. “And I think I should go find my client before she is tempted to hang me rather than just torment me.”

I chuckled softly, a bit surprised she knew about Lucy's plans. She wasn't naive. She looked… I thought, struggling for the right word as I studied her beautiful face… I found it… Interesting.

She tried to move past my arm. But I held her in place a third time. Leave out the rags she wore, and she was a stunning piece. Enough to capture my interest and make me burn with a strange desire for her.

“Wait… Tell me your name first," I asked softly.

“Why do you want to know my name?” her tone firm again. I caught her flinch, a pink flush on her cheeks. She struggled to keep her eyes on my face rather than straying to my cock.

It amused me, and I dropped back a little to give her a better view. I grinned as I watched her grow pinker.

“Because I want you to be my new pet,” I answered casually. I was already bored to death with Amanda, my current girlfriend. She was simplistic, boring, and unchallenging. I needed a quick change and a challenge. I had a feeling this lady before me could be that and more.

“Is that supposed to be the line that makes me all gaga about you and then jump on your bed?” She said, a random fire lighting her eyes. “If that’s it, then it’s not working.”

I love her fieriness. I was right. She would make a good pet. I traced a finger on my lower lip out of habit, taunting her with my smile. “If you knew how many ladies have climbed into my bed after that single line, you’d be amazed.”

“While we discuss your sexual heroics, how about you dress up? That little thing between your legs needs a cover”.

I grinned wryly at the ludicrousness of her statement. I dropped back and gave her a graceful view of me. My cock was erect now, long, thick, and proud, for her. How dare she call me little.

She screeched softly as if horrified. She turned away. “For the love of God and my sanity, just get something on, will you?”

I chuckled softly again, and I went for my towel. Just as I bent to pick it up, I heard the door open and shut with an unnatural speed.

I traced my lip with a finger again and rose upright. “She’d tricked me,” I muttered to myself, grinning with mischief.

I dressed in a satin dress shirt and left the top buttons undone. A slim-fit jacquard pant, and sealed the look with a fedora. Then I left to get my new pet.

I walked into the spacious living room right at the moment Chloe held her bag before the lady’s face.

“I found my bag downstairs after you left, but I can no longer find my latest luxury lipstick and mascara set in it. Those beauties cost me millions," Chloe yelled at the lady.

“Why did you steal my lipstick and mascara, poor brat? Was it because I called you a maid earlier?"

Lucy turned sharply to the lady at Chloe’s claim, pretending to be shocked. Lucy did it so well, I would have thought it was real if I hadn't known better.

“Is it true, Eva? Did you really take Chloe’s mascara and lipstick set?” she asked the lady, her voice tuned low.

“I didn’t take it. How would I know she even has those?” The lady defended herself confidently. I traced my lip thoughtfully as I watched… fiery as usual. I had no doubt now; she would make the perfect pet.

“But you were the last person in the room and the last to get here,” Chloe said again, inexplicitly accusing her.

She scoffed, shaking her head gently. She seemed to be realizing the script being played out.

I felt it was time I stepped in. I strode into the room and dropped to sit just beside the lady. Shock and surprise lit up her eyes when she saw me. I thought I saw her tremble from the shock.

“What are you doing here, Gavin?” Lucy yelled at me, trying to lay me off with her eyes.

“I just came to get my new pet, cousin,” I said to Lucy, my tone casual. “Now, will you two lay off of her and make this strictly business, or should I burst the bubble?”

Chloe’s face tightened with rage. “But she stole my lipstick and mascara set. It cost about millions of dollars."

“She stole nothing because those things do not exist in the first place. I bet Lucy didn’t inform you." I thrust my jaw feebly towards Lucy. “We brainstormed on this script together yesterday.”

Chloe turned fast to Lucy for guidance. Lucy gave Chloe a look that told her to lay off, and she retreated quietly to an unoccupied sofa. Lucy glared hard at me, her eyes full of hate.

“What is all this, Gavin? Why will you embarrass me before my guest?” she demanded, her voice dripping with malice.

“I just want you to stop tormenting my new pet.”

“Aren’t you being a bit delusional, Mr. Gavin?” The lady said, shifting to me now. Now she could look into my eyes without her eyes straying lower. “I don’t recall being a pet, and I certainly do not belong to anyone.”

I grinned wryly. I adjusted my fedora with a stylish fling of my fingers. “I came here to make you one.”

“You bloody Casanova, leave my guest alone,” Lucy yelled at me.

Chloe gave Lucy a gentle tap on the arm. She paused, turning quickly to watch her fiancé and her parents stroll into the room. She dropped quietly to her seat, ready to play the kind and friendly host.

Luke Hayes walked to the center of the room. His eyes narrowed on the lady and me, and they darkened with rage.

“Why are you so close to Gavin, Eva?” he demanded from the lady. His voice high and thick from rage. He sounded hurt and as if she was his.

Something stirred in me, and I turned sharply to him like everyone else in the room, my face darkening from controlled rage. She couldn't be his. She was mine, my new pet.

Eva’s POV“What!” My brows jumped well over my head as I stared at her. “You have found out too.”“Yes, I did.” Mia scolded. Her voice was tight. She shared her eyes between me and the road. Her chubby hands fastened on the steering wheel. “I thought I would always be the first to hear such news. But guess what. The tabloids found out before me. I thought we were besties, Eva.”“We are, Mia—”“No, we are not.” She snapped again. “How could the papers find out about your relationship before I do? My phone has been ringing nonstop with phone calls since morning. I had to switch it off to get myself some sanity. Most of our ex-classmates have been calling me just to confirm the news. Imagine how I felt then, completely speechless about my best friend's engagement.”I didn't try to imagine, because I could never imagine Mia’s situation then. Having no gist for every one of her callers was, to Mia, worse than having to fight off brain-eating zombies in a zombie apocalypse. She would rather

Eva's POVGavin jumped down from the car and hurried after me. “What did I do wrong, Eva?” he asked, pulling in front of me, blocking off my path with his big body. His handsome face was sewn tight with worry as he stared at me, the teasing spark in his blue eyes lost. His chin quivered as he asked again. “Did I do something to offend you, Eva?”I said nothing to him. He doesn't deserve my answers. I walked past him, continuing down the sidewalk to my office. But he was before me once again, filling up my path with his big body. “Okay, Eva. I am sorry for whatever I must have done wrong. I didn't know Isabella would do something as crazy as that.” He pleaded.“You still don't know what you did wrong, Gavin.” I whispered quietly to him, “I don't think you can ever know. You are too privileged to.” I sidestepped him again, continuing down the sidewalk once again. But this time, he grabbed my wrist, and he spun me around to him. “Get off me. Let me go, Gavin,” I yelled, struggling from

  • Caught Between My Billionaire Ex & My Billionaire Boyfriend   The Tabloids

Eva's POVI climbed down the stairs of the apartment block three days after the incident with Gavin and Isabella. I held tighter to my purse and my car keys, knowing fully well it takes just a moment to lose them.In a block of over two hundred people, there were bound to be thieves. The block was crawling with them. Their specialty was snatch and run. One minute you are holding your valuable; the next, some unknown kid is running off with it at an insane speed. The sun was still prepping up in the sky for its morning dance. But the world looked bright enough to make good the promise of a fine day as I dropped down the external stairs onto the sidewalk, waiting to grab myself a cab. My car had broken down a day ago. Most people were usually surprised when their cars broke down, but not me. In fact, I was more surprised it hadn't happened sooner.I was hailing a cab when a Ferrari swept in front of me with a fancy swerve. The cab had to drive away to avoid a collision. The Ferrari park

Eva's POV“Yes, I am Gavin’s fiancée, and we have been dating for two years now,” I lied. I didn't know where the idea came from, but it sounded like a good backstory. A backstory that earned me a look of pure murder from Isabella. Her eyes blared with fire, sweeping the whole of me carefully, her lips curling with raw disgust as if I was a product of a nearby bin.I had hoped I wouldn't regret this when I said ‘Yes.’ But now, witnessing the passion with which Isabella stared me down, my heart thumping furiously with each step she took closer to me, I was beginning to have regrets. I knew now that I could as well kiss the Villa’Edste goodbye. The one thing I had been so desperate for, and one thing I had swallowed my pride, asking Gavin's help for.“You are lying, bitch. You are merely playing along with him.” She eyed me further, her eyes digging holes through me. “Gavin doesn't do poor, workaholic, and overdressed girls like you.”It felt refreshing to know I wasn't Gavin's spec. Eva’s POVTheir eyes burned through me as I remained somehow partly in their middle. I bowed away carefully, trying not to draw attention and make things between them any more awkward than they already were.Bri, Madam Isabella’s assistant didn't spare me even a glance as I moved to stand just beside her. I had thought her cologne was soothing and inspiring before. Now I thought it terrible. I had to crinkle my nostrils near her.Maybe I was being petty, but it didn't matter. She wasn't looking. Bri had her eyes trained on Gavin and Madam Isabella, especially Gavin. She watched the scene sullenly, her eyes twinkling with a bit of bitterness. She didn't seem to fancy losing her 6-foot-four Greek god, which she’d just begun to crush on, to her boss.Well—she was welcomed to the club of disappointment. Because how in the world could the most renowned playboy in the country coincidentally reunite with his ex-wife just when I had called him to help me seduce her assistant? It was just the

Eva's POVI had no idea why Madam Isabella’s name threw him off. His expression turned blank at the mention of the name. The flirtatious glint that always held his eyes was abandoned for a hardness that now had my heart nearly racing in the entrapment of my chest. The more I stared into them, the harder they burned. “I am sorry, Eva, I can't help you,” he said crisply and spun for his car.“Why?” I yelled after him, the word almost hanging in my throat. He didn't answer. Instead, his pace quickened, as if something was out to get him in the underground car park of the Luminee Palace. “Wait, Gavin. What is happening?"Still, I got nothing. His broad, powerful back retreating from my sight. He threw himself into his Porsche. With no other choice, I threw myself onto the front of the car, blocking his path with my body. I knew he could just simply reverse and drive off, but like this, I thought he would understand my desperation.I wasn't one to seek help from anyone. I was a one-m
