The rain slowly drizzled as she walked aggressively towards the coffee shop. It was just nine am in the morning and if she could say, then she should still be in bed since it is just a Saturday morning.

And as far as she knows, Saturdays are meant for breaks. Being a personal assistant is something Hazel has always loved, especially when she became a PA to the sweetest CEO ever before his eldest son took over.

It was just like yesterday when she got the job and couldn't stop grinning but today and every other day, it was different to her, to make everything worst, it was raining.

When her boss retired and his son, Tate took over the company, she knew she was in for a lot of miseries especially when they both don't like each other.

The other day when he was drunk, she got the opportunity to tell him how much she hates him and any other girl that likes him or sleeps with him.  And she doesn’t care a bit if he does remember, he doesn't have a proof to show to the entire world that she said such to him.

Hence, she is not bothered. Then this morning, she was sitting down quietly on her couch flicking through the channels on her American Show Max when her phone beeped and it was a message from her boss, Tate.

It said he expected her to be in the office anything before ten am, then she should get him a coffee at the Clink Boston but it was just eight thirty at the moment.

How does he expect her to drive through the city of California, even with the traffic, get him a coffee at the other side of the city before heading towards the company that is at the heart of the state.

If her calculation is right, then there is no way she will meet up with that ten am. She is yet to take her bath because it was a freaking Saturday, and no one goes to work on a Saturday except it is an emergency which she is sure, it isn't.

"Hey" She muttered to the cashier in the coffee shop. She is used to coming in there to get her boss a coffee She was used to the workers and most of them have already drop the horrific with her.

"The girl without the Hazel eyes." He joked as he passed her the bills. He was already used to her buying the same coffee everyday that she doesn't have to say a word when she comes in.

She offered him a faint smile because at the very moment, she was thinking of how to kill her boss without anyone knowing. "Thank you Dans." She answered with her voice off.

Sometimes, Hazel is the type that can be read without any problem. Her emotions are clear to everyone and when she doesn't like you, then it won't take her some hours to show you or even tell you.

She collected the packaged coffee and left without saying a goodbye like always. If she is to stay for a goodbye then Dan will surely engage her in another conversation and she will run late without knowing, which she doesn't want.

She revved the car back to life and reversed out of the coffee shop. At the moment, all on her mind was how to get to work fast so that the sociopath of a man that she calls a boss will not make an issue out of her lateness.

From what she had, Tate used to be the sweetest person ever but for some reason known to him and only his father, Mr. Thomas Campbell, he changed.  She is not even interested to know about his private life because she has nothing to do with that.

One thing she was thankful of when she left the coffee shop was that the rain had stopped and also, she doesn't have to worry about getting drained or the coffee getting cold faster.

Hazel did all her best to see that she had avoided all the crowded lane that leads to the heart of the city, and at last she was there. The first thing she was to head over the cafeteria in the building and used the microwave to heat over the coffee before heading to the elevator.

Just as a grave yard, the building was eerily quiet that she was having a bad feeling about it but she couldn't let it get to her. She pressed the 69th floor which is the first floor in the building and also where her office is, or maybe where her boss's office is .

Upon reaching there, she met her boss secretary bringing out some important files from the hallway safe and she joined him. "Hey boo." She called out.

Grey turned to face her before giving her a peck on the forehead. "How are you?" He asked.

For as long as people know them in the company, they were tagged as a couple, to the extend that they got an award for it. But unknown to them, Grey was not sure of his personality and security hence she was trying to help him cover everything up.

She heaved a sigh, dropping the coffee on the desk. "Is Tate in?" She asked first, fixing her hair.

Grey nodded his head no, so she picked the coffee and took it to the office before returning to join Grey. "Do you have an idea why he called us here this morning?" She asked instead of giving back an answer to his question, which was because she thinks his question has no answer.

"I am not sure but maybe it has to do with the bidding that is taking place soon. I believe Mr. Tate is unsure about the decision he is making but you know him, a pain in the ass so he won't ask for our opinion directly." Grey said and she had to laugh when he said their boss was a pain in the ass. Which was totally not a lie.

She brought out a stack of file holders concerning the bid before giving Grey an answer. "He is not only an ass but a sociopath." She laughed loudly.

A gasp escaped Grey's lips as she said those words. "Wait, you don't want to tell me that you have labeled him as such?"

"Why not? When he acts like one." She told him back, finding a box of cookies on Grey's desk and she began to munch off it.

She moaned when the chewed cookies hits the back of her throat. "Damn, Grey. Your Nana sure knows how to make cookies." She commented taking another bite.

"Oh, yeah. They were for you at the end." He smiled before closing the safe and returning the lock back to it normal place then he joined Hazel at the long couch that was recently purchased.

She then put her head on Grey's thighs even though she clearly knows that showing affection during the work time is prohibited. Grey used his left hand to stroke her hair while she was getting lost in it and before she knew it, she was closing her eyes.

Falling asleep is something easily for her but ever since Tate took over the company, the word insomnia became her friend, no matter the type of sleeping table she took, she couldn’t sleep for more than three hours which was bad.

And she doesn’t even have the right time to visit the doctor so that she will know what is wrong with her and why she couldn't sleep.

She opened her eyes when she heard someone clearing his throat and Grey dropping her head on the chair with no aids. When she finally opened the eyes, she came face to face with their boss, Mr Tate.

Taking her time, she rearranged her hair and everything that was tangled. "Good morning Mr. There." She heard Grey greeting while, she standing, thinking of what to say about his dressing or anything he does.

Tate turned to face Hazel waiting for their greeting. "Good morning." She said but it came out as stutter..

He said nothing to her before he majestically walked to his office. She crunch her nose in annoyance, this was why she hesitated before greeting him. She was nudged by Grey, she gave him a rhetorical question because she was not sure of what he wants her to do. "You are his personal assistant, go and meet him so that we can leave fast. I have something to do later." He told her.

She groaned before taking deep breathes and she headed to the office. She gave the oak door a little knock and waited for no reply from him before she entered.

She met Tate taking off his coat and was setting the table in process. She stood by the desk side while she watched him with no interest. All she wants is to finish fast and go.

"My coffee." He asked as he took his seat finally. She headed towards the little desk in the office and came back to him with the coffee.

Taking a sip of the coffee, he spatted it back and directly on her shirt, staining it. "You never get my coffee right and why is it cold?" He asked passing it to her.

If she could remember, then she got everything right and then, maybe the coffee might be a little cold but it won't be that bad as he is trying to put it. "I got everything the way you wanted it to be. The temperature and the favor." She listed out.

He ignored her and took the coffee by himself, then he disposed it into the bin before returning to his seat. "Sir, you called us to work on a Saturday, can I ask why?" She questioned because there was no reason why he had called her here just to waste her time when she has a lot to do. Especially when it is their girl's day out.

“No, you can't ask me why because I am not giving an answer to that. So do yourself a favor and head to your office so that you can work on the file sent to your email." He snarled a little before turning his attention back to the company on his table.

Sometimes, he does wonders why his father likes Hazel when she us nothing like the praises he gives her always. If he is to describe her then she is the rude secretary no one will ever hired.

She must be that way because of the praises she usually gets from people. He clearly remembered the day she mocked of his name. She called him a trans because his name is unisex.

If at that time he was the CEO then he would have fired her.  With a angry face, he watched Hazel stomped out of the office and closed the door with a bang.

Hazel knew that one day she will surely resign and leave Tate because of how cocky he is and when she is asked of the excuse, she will tell them that he calls her to work on Saturdays and sometimes, Sundays.

"What is wrong?" Grey asked when he saw her grumpy face.

She shook her head no before heading to her office and took a seat. "Damn it." She screamed hitting the bed.

Leaving every behind her mind, she opened her laptop and connected it to the company network and began to check the emails that Tate had sent her. It was more than one and all of them were titled The 11th Bidding.

Knowing that the work was not going to end soon, she headed to the mini snack bar she has in the office and plated out some cookies that she had gotten from Grey and some Canada Dry.

She knew if Tate was to see her drinking a can of Canada Dry, then he will explode because he had asked her to stop taking it during the office time but guess what, it is a Saturday and not an office day so he can't stop her from drinking what she wants to have.
