Two

Alpha Lexi.

The sun was dim as he sat in the bath tub with the water running down his body majestically. If there is anything he loves, then it is taking a cold bath in the evening. 

No matter how cold it is, he never bothers to take a bath with hot water, cold water is his means of solace. And he makes sure that he takes all the time in the world giving himself a nice and clean bath.

Beside him is his chief maid and also his mistress, to Alpha Lexi, mate is one different thing and a mistress is another but they all give him the same pleasure he deserves.

Ever since they got into the 21th century, most werewolves finds it hard to find their mates in the large world. It has never been easy for them and for years, he has been opting for new methods, just so his pack members can stop dying as they couldn't find their mates.

In the Silvee Grey pack, a replacement mate was never advisable. It is either you find your mate and live happily ever after or you slowly die from within and get reincarnated as something different in less than four years.

And since Lexi overthrown his father from the Alpha throne, he noticed that making the pack invisible will never be a method of help to them. They might be avoiding one thing but at the same thing, blocking themselves from getting to their mates.

Hence, with the help of a government agent that was once from the pack before he went to live in the human world, they were able to make their town known to people under the name of Bolton Town.

He was not even sure of why he had named the town such but he really did and one thing is that the town is still underdeveloped.  He has never been to the heart of the country yet and he wish to soon, not because of anything but to find the person that can develop their town.

If he could remember then he heard something about some construction company from his friend and he had sent for him so that they will talk through it.

His mistress who is also know as Aliyah ran a hand through his head as she scrubbed it clean. It was something she always do when having a bath together with him and for that, he is grateful because the peace he usually get from it.

He slowly moaned when the soapy water trailed down his chin. If it was someone else, he would have fired them for letting the soapy water down but Aliyah is totally different that he can't see any bad thing about her.

No matter what people say about her, he is yet to see it.  "Do you like it?" She asked, squeezing the soap on her palms and forming a huge foam with it.

"Yes, you know I do." He answered back closing his eyes.

Aliyah continued to scrub his hair clean and when she was done, she washed the foam out with the clean warm water and then used a towel to wrap around it. 

She successfully helped him out of the tub and they headed back to his room. He took a seat as they reached the vanity stand, leaving her to do the rest. And she got the message. She helped him rub some cream on, comb through his hair and styled it then she helped him pick out a clothings for the day.

"Thank you." He told her smiling. She nodded her head at him before leaving him to get the dinning table ready as she always do.  

Alpha Lexi looked through his left hand. The burn is slowing fading, like there was never a scar.  Ever since his coming of age, and when he was sure that his mate is not among the pack or their neighbouring packs, he has been getting a constant burn scars on his left hand and also at a particular place.

When he finally got enough of it and told teh pack witch, he was told that it has to do with him sleeping with someone other than his mate. But what can he do when he can't control himself when he is in his heat?

He had to opt for having someone else to fit in before he successfully finds his mate. Wearing the last piece of his clothes, he left the room. "Good morning Alpha Lexi." A henchman that was standing by the door greeted.

As usual, he nodded his head at him before he ambled down the stairs to the dining table, to meet that Aliyah has already set everything ready.  If not for his father and also the pain that his mate will go through when he marks Aliyah, he would have done that for a while now.

The reason why his father doesn't like his relationship with Aliyah is because of the rule that said having a replacement mate is not allowed. It was implied by the Goddess, but the leaders or rather the pack council never told the truth to the pack members. And them, they were only told that having a replacement is not advisable but everyone in the council knows the consequences and they have witnessed one or more.

That is why his father claims to hate Aliyah so that he will leave her and then the Goddess will not be angry at him.  He sat down, tucking in a napkin in his shirt and Aliyah emerged from the kitchen holding a tray of baked turkey.

She kept it on the table before she starts to serve him. Half way through, his beta made his presence known. "Lexi." He called out taking a seat close to him.

He waved a hand at Aliyah with a faint smile on his face before he took a plate and began to dish out the food. When Alpha Lexi noticed the look that Aliyah was giving Jasper, his beta.

One thing he is yet to understand is why the duo fight at any opportunity they get when they are cousins that grew up together. At least if the same was to happen to him and his cousins, then he will blame it on the distance that they live but not with Aliyah and Jasper.

The other day, he had to scold Jasper regarding how he is to treat a lady, not matter what she does to him. "Thank you." Jasper said to no one in particular and began to dig in his food.

Alpha Lexi released a chuckle before he continued to eat his food and ordered Aliyah to join them, even though it was against her wish. The other day when they had their last fight with Jasper, she had told him that she doesn't want to have anything to do with him ever again which is totally impossible.

If she doesn't see him at home then she must see him at the pack house, it has to be that way. With only the cutleries making noise, the three of them ate their food in utter silence and when they were done, Aliyah asked two maids to clear out the table.

"Bye." Alpha Lexi gave her a kiss on the forehead before leaving the dining area.

Together with Jasper, they went to his studies where they usually talk about things regarding the packs and what type of issues to table during the council meetings.  Alpha Lexi pushed the door open and he went inside with Jasper following suit.

As always, everything in the study was cleaned and the room smelled nicely, like sandal wool. He released a deep breath before taking a seat. "Sorry, can you please help me put the curtain up?" He asked Jasper when he noticed how dim the room was.

Jasper did as he was told before he returned to take a seat also.  Alpha Lexi brought out a file titled Redevelopment of Silver Grey pack. He picked a pen from the case and began to dribble things down. "Mr. Hayes told me to meet him when we are ready for the redevelopment. He said to have a company that do such type of work and that they are the best at what they do." Alpha Lexi informed referring to the man that left the werewolf world.

"Then, what do you want to do? Because I think we should go with him. At least it will be better and we have someone to hold down when things go south." Jasper replied playing with the tip of the pen that Alpha Lexi had threw at him.

Alpha shook his head taking note and he mind linked his chief guard to have Mr. Hayes know that his attention is needed at the pack house before they continued to go through files together and they literally solved almost all of it halfway.

A short yawn escaped Beta Jasper's mouth and he began to rub out his eyes catching the attention of Alpha Lexi. "Sleepless night or a rough night?" Alpha Lexi asked.

Instead of giving him an answer, Jasper winked him making him to gag. "I will go with a rough night." Beta Jasper finally replied.

Alpha Lexi lifted a hand to stop Beta Jasper from going any more forward. He is eventually tired of knowing what had conspired between his Beta and their mate. "Just gi home and take a nap. I will send someone to get you when Mr. Hayes is here." 

A happy Jasper left the pack house because he can’t express how happy he is to.  "What if I do meet my mate when I go out to the center of the country?" Alpha Lexi heard a voice within him again.

"What if she doesn't want us as her mate, you know how humans are." Another one came and he knew that he was going to hate himself for thinking about his mate that he is not sure of finding or will she ever accept him as her mate when he has Aliyah in his life now.

Everything of his seems complete with her in the pictures. Deep in his thought, a gentle knock came on the door and he mumbled a come in when the chief guard graced his appearance inside the study.  "Morning Alpha Lexi. The Alpha of Silver pack said to inform you that he will be on his way to see because there are things the both of you have to discuss." The chief guard told.

"Then tell him I will be waiting for his arrival." He replied to the chief guard and the young man took his leave. The Silver pack is a pack that is led by his paternal cousin.

The silver pack was formed from Silver Grey, hence why it was named the Silver pack alone. It was the time when the members of the Silver Grey pack kept on multiplying everyday and there was no more space in the territory for more members.

Then Alpha Lexi suggested that a new pack should be formed and one of his cousin that lives far away should be called back home to take on the rest of the responsibilities.

And at first, his uncle was furious because the family has been in chaos for years, then why will his brother come to tell him that one of his son is taking a new responsibility assigned to him.

Until he was threatened that he will lose his membership at the council of both the Silver Grey pack and the Moon pack that he lived all his life in.

And from what Lexi heard, there is nothing that his uncle cherish like the power of a council member, especially now that he is at the verge of becoming a representative of the council members. 

Then they got the attention of his uncle and he picked one of his three sons to be the new Alpha to the new pack. Then the member of the Silver Grey pack were divided and taken to the Silver pack that is just ten miles ahead of them.
