Chapter 1

My name was Suzanna Chapman. I was a married woman with a strong appetite.

The problem was my husband, Luis. After he turned thirty-five, his stamina started going downhill fast. He used to last a couple of minutes. Now, he barely made it to thirty seconds before he was already out of breath and rolling off the bed.

Me?

I was just getting started.

That restless itch would build inside me, impossible to ignore. In the end, I had no choice but to sneak out a little toy and take care of it myself. When I finished, I turned my head and looked at Luis, already fast asleep beside me, and a wave of irritation rose so sharply that I almost wanted to scream.

I slipped out of bed and headed to the living room for some water. However, as I passed by the room where Luis's coworker was staying, I heard soft, muffled moans drifting from inside.

The sound struck me like a spark, reigniting the itch I had just managed to suppress.

I froze in my tracks.

Before I could stop myself, I leaned in. I was just about to press my ear against the door when I realized it was not fully closed. My heart began to pound as I gently pushed it open a crack and peeked inside.

On the bed, a man moved hard and fast over a woman beneath him, both of them breathing heavily.

His arms were thick and strong, and his waist was tight and powerful. The muscles along his hips shifted in smooth, controlled rhythms.

Something about him made my chest tighten, heat pooling low in my body.

I never would have guessed that Luis's quiet, low-key coworker had such a side to him.

Their chaotic, breathless sounds filled my ears, tugging at something deep inside me. The toy I had used earlier suddenly felt meaningless.

How could it possibly compare to a real man?

Especially a man like that…

I swallowed hard, my heartbeat racing.

Another sharp thrust. The woman on the bed let out a broken cry.

A gasp slipped from me before I realized it. When I looked up again, my eyes met his, which were dark and deep. They were fixed on me as if he had been watching all along.

For a split second, it felt like my soul left my body. I snapped out of it and rushed into the bathroom, slamming the door behind me. My heart pounded wildly, like a drum in my chest.

A second later, I heard the door outside creak open. I pressed a hand to my chest and listened.

Nothing.

After what felt like forever, I slowly reached out with trembling fingers and pulled the bathroom door open just a little.

Then I saw him.

My breath caught, and I nearly jumped out of my skin.

He was standing right there, bare from the waist up. His broad chest was marked with several thin scratches, and his skin still glistened faintly with moisture.

My throat went dry. I swallowed, my face burning, and forced out a small, awkward smile.

"Hank… You need the bathroom, right? I-I'm done."

The moment the words left my mouth, heat rushed even harder to my face.

He did not respond. Those dark eyes remained fixed on me, unblinking.

My heart began to race again under his gaze. I tried to stay calm, even though it felt like my chest might explode, and I reached out, intending to push past him.

However, I was no match for a man who worked every day in construction.

He did not move.

Frustration flared, and I shot him a glare, telling him to step aside.

For a moment, he simply looked at me. Then, suddenly, he smiled. Lowering his head, he brought his lips close to my ear and whispered, "Suzanna, what were you doing just now?"

His voice was low and slightly hoarse, brushing against me like a feather. A shiver ran through my entire body, heat spreading across my skin.

Blushing harder, I answered in a small voice, "I-I was using the bathroom."

He let out a soft chuckle. "Suzanna, do you know who was peeking outside my door just now?"

I shook my head quickly, saying I did not know, but before I could react, his hand shot out and gripped my chin, forcing me to look up at him.

Our eyes met, and a dangerous smile slowly spread across his face. He rubbed his fingers, drawing a sticky silvery strand between them, his eyes narrowing into a thin line. "Suzanna, do you know what I'm thinking right now?"

My mind felt like it had exploded. Everything went blank.

Watching Hank stand there without fighting back or arguing, most of my anger slowly faded away. I let out a soft huff. "You sure know how to talk."He saw the hint of a smile on my face and grinned right back."Heh! If you’re not mad anymore, how about we do something else?"He went on, his tone turning softer, "You were all I could think about while I was working today, Suzanna. I even messed up a few times because of it."I let out a small laugh, almost a snort. "That's because you weren't focused. Don't try to blame it on me. I'm not taking that—hey, stop... Don’t bite me..."After a while, a flicker of unease crept in as I started worrying that Luis might come back unexpectedly, so I tried to pull away and refused to keep going. However, Hank kept coaxing me, his voice low and persuasive, and before I knew it, my resolve slipped. In the end, I followed him back to his room again, where we did it more than once. When it was finally over, I tried to leave, but he refused to le

Right then, Hank rushed out of his room and pulled me behind him. With a casual smile, he told Luis, "Luis, things were fine just a second ago. Why are you two suddenly fighting again?""Hank, move," Luis said calmly. "This is between her and me."He gritted his teeth, barely holding back his anger."I've been too easy on her lately. That's why she thinks she can challenge me whenever she wants. Today, I'll make sure she remembers the price."As he spoke, Hank reached out and grabbed the broom from Luis's grip."Luis, come on. Let it go," he said, his tone casual. "It's getting late. We still need to get to work."After saying that, he turned and gave me a quick look, signaling for me to go back to my room. Then, he hooked an arm around Luis's shoulders, telling him to give me a little grace and promising to take him out for drinks another day. After a few more words, Hank finally managed to pull Luis away. I returned to the bedroom and collapsed onto the bed.The moment I la

I told Luis I did not want to go and that he should go himself. What if Hank was still asleep, and I annoyed him by knocking on his door and got yelled at?Luis waved it off, saying Hank was not like that, then urged me to hurry up. They still had to head to the construction site later, and if they were late, the foreman would dock their pay again. Besides, he said, Hank had treated him to drinks the day before, so it was only right to remind him.Luis was already getting impatient.I took a big bite of breakfast, then stood up and walked over to Hank's door.I knew the door was not locked, but with Luis watching from not far away, I could only pretend I did not know and knocked a few times.A sleepy male voice came from inside."Who is it?"I took a deep breath and answered calmly, "Hank, Luis told me to wake you up for breakfast. He said you still have work later, so don't be late."There was a muffled ‘oh’ from inside, and he said to give him a minute.Hearing that, I went

I wanted to tell Hank to stop. However, in that split second of hesitation, Hank's hand had already slipped beneath the hem of my shirt. His palm was rough from the hard labor he did, and it moved slowly along my side, lingering before brushing past again. The faint friction sent a strange sensation through me, part discomfort, part something I did not even want to name, spreading across my skin like a quiet current.I tried to struggle one more time. However, Hank had clearly run out of patience. He wrapped an arm around my waist, lifted me effortlessly, and carried me toward the bedroom in just a few quick steps. The world tilted for a moment, and by the time I came back to my senses, I was already pressed down onto the bed. He lowered his head, burying his face near my neck as he drew in a deep breath. "Suzanna," he said with a low laugh, "the way you smell… It's driving me crazy."Instinctively, I pushed against his chest, but the heat of his skin threw my heartbeat off rhythm

While Hank was distracted, I seized my chance and squeezed myself out from between him and the wall. I quickly fixed my clothes and rushed out of the kitchen, only to slam straight into Luis as he was about to come in."What's wrong with you? Don't you have eyes? You just ran right into me!" His annoyed voice hit me hard, but somehow, it actually calmed my nerves a little.I hurried to soften my tone, steadying him as I guided him back toward the bedroom, telling him I should check whether he had hurt himself anywhere. He waved it off, saying he was fine, then immediately urged me to cook faster and stop dragging my feet.I forced a small smile and nodded, telling him to lie down first and wait for ten minutes. I would call him when the food was ready. After a bit of coaxing, I finally got him back into the room. When I turned around and headed back, Hank was leaning against the wall. The moment he saw me, he let out a low, resentful huff."Suzanna, you were way too rough just n

I wanted to tell Hank to stop, to really stop. However, I did not dare open my mouth because I was afraid that if I did, it would not be words that came out, but something else entirely. While I was still tangled in my rising panic, Hank's voice drifted into my ear again."I heard everything."My eyelid twitched, and I hurried to ask what he meant and what exactly he had heard. He leaned in closer, letting out a low laugh right beside my ear."Luis… He's kind of weak, huh?"My heart stuttered. How did he know that? The embarrassment hit me all at once, sharp and suffocating, making me feel like I could disappear on the spot.I let out a frustrated huff. "Hey! How could you eavesdrop on a married couple like that?"Hank only chuckled, that same teasing edge lingering in his voice."Suzanna, weren't you the one peeking through my door while I was with my girlfriend?"We share the same hobby. We're a perfect match."His words made my face burn even hotter."That's nonsense.
