ALEXANDRIA

It was then that I noticed the small Alpha on the ground, bleeding from the mouth and covering his entire body with his arms. There were a lot of Alphas around, but they didn’t even bother with the scene. It felt like they were watching something normal.

I walked closer until I caught a glimpse of the face of the smaller Alpha. My breath hitched. I didn’t know his name, but I couldn’t be mistaken. He was part of my team.

I couldn’t let him get hurt like this.

“Hey—”

I was pulled back

ALEXANDRIA My fingers dug into the grass beneath me as Caleb’s words settled over the garden. His breathing was uneven, his chest rising and falling with every harsh inhale. The warriors behind him remained silent, but even they shifted uneasily, as though they had never seen their Alpha this enraged before.Caleb’s eyes never left Wyatt.“You’ve gone against the highest order,” he said. “Do you have any idea what you’ve done?”“You’ve tampered with the balance that has existed for generations. Do you honestly believe the Highest Council will overlook something like this? They will not tolerate someone deciding to rewrite the rules simply because he thinks he knows better.”Despite the accusations thrown at him, Wyatt didn’t so much as flinch. His posture remained relaxed. Then, slowly, one corner of his mouth lifted.“Did the Highest Council tell you that?”Caleb scoffed, the sound dripping with contempt. For a brief second, neither of them spoke. The tension between them became ne

ALEXANDRIA“Baby, it’s time to wake up.”I was awakened by a gentle kiss on my cheek. I slowly opened one eye and found Wyatt looking down at me with nothing but warmth and affection in his gaze. I tilted my head to the side when I noticed he was wearing an apron, and for a second, my sleepy mind couldn't quite process the sight. Then it hit me.I was supposed to help Bea prepare breakfast this morning!“Breakfast!” I exclaimed, jolting upright. He chuckled softly and patted my head. “No worries. I already helped her, and they’re just setting the table now. She also lent you some clothes. They’re already in the bathroom.”“Don’t look at me like that,” he smiled at me, amused. “But you’re so hot right now.”The words slipped out before I could stop them. His eyes immediately darkened, and I slapped a hand over my mouth.Yeah...That was definitely the wrong thing to say.Wyatt wasn't exactly the type to waste an opportunity to make love whenever and wherever. Meanwhile, I would neve

ALEXANDRIA“Have some hot chocolate, sweetie.”Wyatt’s mom placed a cup of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and mini marshmallows in front of me. Then I felt her hand gently brush through my hair, making me look up at her.She was just as warm as the hot chocolate, her smile filled with the same comforting warmth.“Goodness, you have such a pretty face. How did my son end up with someone like you?”“Mom,” Wyatt whined as he placed a plate of pastries in front of me. “Your son is a good catch, too.”“Arguable,” Faye coughed into her hand.Wyatt turned to her and narrowed his eyes.“Should you really be the one saying that? You haven’t even met your mate yet.”“Well, I’m glad it’s not you.” Their argument was interrupted when the adults suddenly burst into laughter.“I’m happy to see Faye like this. She was always so sweet back at the Carnage Pack.”“Sweet?” Wyatt exclaimed. “It must be because Damon—”Faye elbowed Wyatt in the side, and with that, he finally stopped talking.Th

ALEXANDRIA“What did he say? Did he do anything weird to you? Did he hurt you?” Mandy continuously asked after Caleb abruptly left, the worry in her voice growing with every question.I shook my head. “He didn’t do anything. He just asked me to check his health.”Ryland and Mandy frowned at the same time.“What?” Mandy muttered in disbelief. “Why would he do that? He has a lot of doctors at his pack.”“That’s what I said, too,” I replied, biting my lip as I replayed the encounter in my mind. “I honestly can’t read his mind.”“What do we do now?” Ryland asked, his expression turning serious.I straightened my spine, forcing myself to push aside the unease creeping into my chest.“Strengthen the borders. Don’t attack first because we can’t handle their numbers. Call me whenever he’s here, and I’ll try to make it. We have to investigate why they’re doing this, too.” Ryland nodded without hesitation. “Got it, Alpha.”I paused.“Alpha?”Ryland smiled.“You’re our Alpha, Alex. You already

CALEBWhat did that woman just say? I had way too much power?I scoffed while my driver sped back to our pack. There was no such thing as too much power in this world. Only too little.I would have snapped her neck in half the moment she said those words, but for some reason, something held me back.I guessed there was still some hesitation to break something that pretty.I came there for only one objective, of course. I wanted to survey their territory and see what I was working with, earning their trust so I could take over their pack, add them to Carnage, and ultimately add to my power.A small smirk appeared on my lips. Gaining their trust would be more difficult than I had thought. However, I couldn't help but think that it would be amusing, too. Very, very amusing. Especially with that girl—Alexandria. She was far more interesting than I had expected."Is there good news, Alpha? You’re smiling," the driver said, looking at me through the rearview mirror. My smile quickly fell be

ALEXANDRIA “What?” I asked with a frown, looking at him as though he had grown another head. Did he just call me… beautiful?I shook my head, immediately thinking about Wyatt. Only the way he called me pretty could make my heart flutter now. Hearing it from Caleb tasted sour, like a compliment poisoned before it ever reached me.I placed the basket down and crossed my arms over my chest.“Anyway, what are you doing in our pack? We don’t appreciate unexpected visitors.” He smirked. “Now I see why you two are siblings. You have that spunk.”“Answer my question,” I demanded. He looked at Mandy and Ryland before leaning casually against the couch.“I want to talk to you alone.”“No,” Ryland said immediately, but I held out a hand to stop him.I observed Caleb for a second. Although I still wasn’t sure why he had come here, I could tell he wouldn’t kill me here. Not with witnesses around.“It’s okay,” I told him.“Alex,” Mandy whispered, worry plain in her eyes. I knew she was more conce

ALEXANDRIA“Goodness, Alex. Where have you been?” By the time I finally got home, the sun was already high in the sky. I had spent the night at a 24-hour cafe, indulging in far too many ice cream sundaes, hoping to sober myself up—or at least feel a bit better. To my surprise, I did feel better th

ALEXANDRIAWhat even prompted me to do this? I had never kissed anyone before, but in that moment, I was glued to his lips like I had done so plenty of times prior. It was just a mere pressing of our lips—frankly, because I had no idea how to kiss. However, the sparks that flared with that kiss fe
