LOGINALEXANDRIA
What even prompted me to do this?
I had never kissed anyone before, but in that moment, I was glued to his lips like I had done so plenty of times prior. It was just a mere pressing of our lips—frankly, because I had no idea how to kiss. However, the sparks that flared with that kiss felt just as intoxicating as I had read about in my favorite romance novels.
I could feel the gazes of those inside the club boring into us, accompanied by gasps of surprise and the murmurs that rippled through the crowd.
Whoever this man was, he seemed to carry an air of fame. Nobody batted an eye when Matt tried to assault me, but suddenly, when I kissed this mysterious stranger, everyone around us tuned in as if our moment was a live show.
I pulled away after what felt like an eternity, though my wolf was whining inside me, begging me not to break the spell.
But, just as quickly as I had pulled back, I found myself being pulled toward him again, and the simple pressing of our lips evolved into what felt like a full-blown make-out session.
His lips moved against mine in a rhythm I struggled to match, as he kissed me like someone who had done this countless times before. I could even feel him smile against my lips, and for a brief moment, the world outside faded away.
“What do we have here?” he murmured, breaking the kiss with a teasing glint in his eyes. “Another one of you desperate ones, huh? I can’t even get a moment’s peace in here.”
“Uh, what?” I stammered.
He placed his hand gently under my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze. Despite the darkness of his pupils, his honey-brown irises still shone through, captivating me.
“Well, you aren’t that bad to look at,” he smirked, a mischievous glint glimmering in his eyes. “So, I’ll give you what you want.”
Before I could comprehend what was happening, he grabbed my wrist and dragged me out of the club. The man who had been with him—sporting longer brown hair and striking blue eyes—saluted and shot me a smile that bordered on mocking.
“Good luck,” he said with a wink.
I didn’t have the chance to process his words or behavior before I was unceremoniously shoved into the passenger seat of a car, the door slamming shut behind me.
“What are you doing—”
My words were cut short when he suddenly revved the engine and drove away from the club, my heart racing alongside the speeding car. My eyes widened in disbelief while he focused intently on the road ahead.
Was I really going to be killed like this?
“Who sent you this time?” he asked, his voice low and dangerous.
My fear came to a sudden halt, replaced by a wave of confusion as I tilted my head to the side.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I replied.
“Classic line,” he sighed, glancing at me momentarily before shaking his head in disbelief. “They even had you ingest something to intensify your scent and heat? Do your people honestly think I’d be fooled into believing you’re my mate?”
The car came to an abrupt stop, making my heart race, and I gasped as the seat was pushed back.
“But I’ll give you something in return for your courage,” he chuckled deeply, and a shiver ran down my spine at the sound. Before I realized what was happening, I found myself no longer sitting in the passenger seat—I was perched on his lap.
“I’ll make you satisfied so you won’t bother me again. Tell your people to stop pestering me, too. I don’t have anything for you.”
After uttering those words, he placed his hand possessively on my nape, guiding me closer to him. Our teeth clashed in a painful display, but as I whimpered, he dove deeper, his tongue sweeping inside my lips and massaging the sensitive muscle.
“Nnnghh,” I couldn’t suppress the involuntary sound that escaped me.
He chuckled once more, the rumble vibrating through my entire body.
“You seem to be enjoying this too much for someone who’s supposed to be pretending.”
It felt like I was losing my mind; I had no clue what he was talking about, and my brain was turning into absolute mush.
He claimed my lips again, exploring, and I couldn’t keep up with his pace. Soon, I was gasping for air and found myself instinctively pushing against his chest. But he only continued to claim my lips, so I bit down on that soft muscle, making him groan and finally pull away.
Breathless and utterly bewildered, I looked up to find his lip bleeding.
“I’m—”
I was about to apologize but then realized that this wasn’t my fault.
He wiped the blood from his lips, his tongue darting out to lick the area clean. My eyes followed the motion despite my best intentions, ignoring the heat radiating from my body.
“Who even are you?” I exclaimed, frustration boiling over.
He raised an eyebrow, shaking his head in disbelief. “Well, this is a new strategy. I never thought you would go the amnesiac route. You’re telling me you don’t know me?”
I glared at him, even while still on his lap. “Not everyone knows a pompous, arrogant Alpha. In fact, I don’t care who you are! You dragged me out here and kissed me!”
He shook his head, amusement flickering in his eyes. “Your strategies are changing, I see. Whatever—I’ve already given you my lips. I’m not about to hand over anything else.”
Then, to my astonishment, he opened the car door and, without a hint of hesitation, shoved me away from his lap. I landed hard on the cold ground, my knees scraping painfully against the cement, blood rushing to the reddened area.
I opened my mouth to unleash another tirade, but he simply tossed money over my body, leaving me speechless.
“There,” he said, an insulting smirk stretching across his face. “Use that to get home. And do me a favor—stop playing these roles. It won’t do you any good, even for a pretty girl like you.”
With that, he slammed the car door, returned to the driver’s seat, and peeled away, leaving a cloud of dust and dirt swirling around me. I glared at the back of the car, raising my middle finger high in the air.
“Asshole!” I screamed into the emptiness of the deserted lot.
I looked around, disoriented, realizing I didn’t even recognize where I was. To top it off, my body was still heated from what Matt had given me, and my wolf’s senses seemed impaired because of it—I couldn’t even reach out to her.
Still, I stood up from the hard ground, taking a deep breath to steady myself.
“Alphas are really the worst,” I muttered under my breath, walking away, all the while ignoring the lingering tingles on my lips.
CALEB“Alexei Hyde has died.”I would have killed this servant for not greeting me properly, but the news he had delivered was worthy of something more than a scolding—that is, if it was true.“Continue…”He let out a deep breath, appearing frantic. “It has been the news of the entire Alpha Academy. He killed Alexei Hyde in their most recent game, and the reason is believed to be because he wanted to take the position from you in the Wolfir Council… but Alexei was a hindrance to that.”“His body is being buried back in their pack.”I couldn’t help the small smile that appeared on my lips. Wyatt Frost had always acted like a man with the moral high ground. However, in the face of power, he had shown his true colors. However, there was still some room for doubt. I glared at the servant, making him flinch and take a step back.“How sure are you of that?”He didn’t dare meet my gaze, but he still shakily answered.“Like I said a while ago, Alpha, his body has already been buried inside th
ALEXANDRIA“Pizza’s here,” Faye said, entering through the front door. She said she couldn’t think on an empty stomach, so she volunteered to buy food while I showered.I was drying my hair while she plopped onto the couch, opening the box and not wasting any time grabbing a slice.“So, how are we going to lure Alpha Caleb to your den?” she asked. I shook my head. “Really? My den?”“So Wyatt can kill him,” she said with a smirk.I sighed and also grabbed a slice of pizza. “Wouldn’t it be strange if I went to him? I think he would be suspicious, especially since he knows I don’t care about him. Should I have acted like I liked him?”She shook her head, her mouth filled with dough and cheese. She swallowed before speaking. “That would have ruined the plan from the beginning. Caleb’s most probably interested in you because you’re not like anyone he has met.”“I agree with what you said earlier,” she continued. “Just because Caleb is interested in you doesn’t mean that he’ll run to you w
WYATTHe pushed me away, standing from his seat, breathless like he couldn’t believe what I had just said.“Surprise!” Chad chimed in by my side.I tilted my head to the side as I observed him. Sweat was already forming along his temples, and I could smell his fear in the air. It was subtle at first, but once I noticed it, I couldn’t miss it.“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he stammered, still trying to cover himself up.“Let’s not fool each other, Elder Arthur. Your first expression already gave it away.”He bit his lip before closing his eyes and letting out a deep breath. When he opened them again, the fear was gone, replaced by a menacing look that told me he was finally done pretending.“Where did you get this information?”“From you,” I answered without any hesitation. He raised one brow and crossed his arms in front of his chest. “Is that so?”Chad sat on one of the seats and even propped his feet on the table. I shook my head at him. He really had a way of getting
WYATTAlex and I bid our goodbyes the next morning. She had woken up earlier than usual and prepared breakfast for us, and when I walked into the dining area, I couldn’t help but smile at the sight waiting for me.“So cute,” I murmured. Her cheeks immediately turned pink.“I just thought you should eat before you leave.”“I know.”I walked toward her, unable to stop the smile on my face. There was something about the way she cared for me that still caught me off guard. It wasn’t something I was used to. Having someone wait for me, worry about me, and care whether or not I had eaten before walking into something dangerous still felt almost foreign.I leaned down and kissed her forehead.“Thank you, baby.”She smiled.I was about to turn around when she suddenly grabbed the front of my shirt and pulled me toward her. I didn’t even have time to react before her lips met mine.My body stilled at first before I fully relaxed. My eyes closed as I savored the kiss.It wasn’t long or desperat
WYATT“Do I really have to do this all alone?” Chad asked as he placed Miss Bianca on the bed. She had struggled so much in the car, fighting against us every step of the way, but fortunately, she was now knocked out.It was still difficult transporting her, though. But, I wouldn’t know because Chad did it all himself.“Yeah, I don’t want her scent to get on me. I also don’t want my scent on hers. She might get the wrong idea when she wakes up. I’ll just write her a note saying that I brought her here because she got too drunk.”Chad looked at me like he wanted to curse me out.“Why?” I asked. “It’s only natural for you to carry her yourself. You still haven’t met your mate. I can’t have Alex smelling her on me.” “Maybe teaming up with you guys is a bad idea.”I clicked my tongue, grabbed a note from the bedside table, and quickly wrote something down. I placed it where she would easily see it when she woke up.“Come on. Alex and Faye are waiting for us. My baby’s going to miss me.”
ALEXANDRIA“Is this really okay for you?” Faye asked, looking at me warily. We were currently at a club, and the overall scene was already starting to make my head hurt. That, and the thought of what Wyatt was doingt, was making me feel nauseous, too.We were at a private booth, away from everyone, but we could still see Wyatt and Miss Bianca from where we were.He had asked her out this morning so he could draw out information regarding Elder Arthur.“I’m fine,” I told her with a smile. “It’s all part of the plan. Just like how I’m keeping Caleb close, he’s also doing his part. It’s not something to be jealous about.”I tried to make my voice sound convincing.Even to myself.Chad grabbed a fry and said casually, “Miss Bianca’s not hiding her interest, though. Well, her main objective has always been Wyatt, actually. Even when we were having sex, she tried asking me for his number.”I pursed my lips.Maybe Chad being here was a bad idea. He was just egging me on. “Geez. You really c
ALEXANDRIA“Good day, Headmaster Sora,” the Alphas said in unison as they settled into their seats, causing me to purse my lips. Sora. Even his name carried a sense of popularity. His deep voice resonated through the hall once more. “It has been a month since the freshmen arrived on campus. How ar
ALEXANDRIA “What an asshole.” After telling me about the assembly, Chase just threw on a shirt and stormed out of the room. When I asked him if we could go together, he told me to figure it out for myself. Now, I was lost in the sprawling maze of this Academy. Who knew that finding the gymnasi
ALEXANDRIA I stared at my reflection in the car mirror while Ryland drove us to the Academy. Mandy was in the backseat, singing along to the latest viral songs on the radio. Mandy had cut my hair evenly and placed it in a lazy half-up and half-down. She had also concealed my naturally rosy cheeks
ALEXANDRIA“Goodness, Alex. Where have you been?” By the time I finally got home, the sun was already high in the sky. I had spent the night at a 24-hour cafe, indulging in far too many ice cream sundaes, hoping to sober myself up—or at least feel a bit better. To my surprise, I did feel better th
