đŸ–±ïžJaydenđŸ–±ïž

Dinner was starting to feel normal. Or at least normal for a place filled with wings, claws, and people who think violence is a greeting.

I was halfway through a bowl of something River promised wouldn’t poison me when a warm breath hit the back of my neck.

A slow inhale.

A very intrusive sniff.

I froze.

What the actual fuck.

River’s eyes widened, and his head snapped down like he was praying to every god in existence. That alone should’ve been my first sign to run.

I turned around.

And came face to face with pure insanity.

Tall. Sharp-eyed. Smiling like he had just discovered dessert.

Before I could blink, he leaned down, grabbed my chin, and

His mouth was on mine.

My brain short-circuited.

I shoved him so hard he stumbled back.

“What the actual fuck, man!” Did I just lose my first kiss? This is irritating.

He wiped his mouth slowly with the back of his hand, eyes glinting, lazy smile in place. Illegal.

“He tastes as good as he smells,” he said, low, amused, unnervingly calm.

The entire table went silent.

River whispered under his breath, eyes wide: “We are so dead. Actual corpses.”

The stranger tilted his head, studying me like I was breaking every law in existence.

“But you’re human. How come you’re here?”

Human.

The word sounded like an accusation. What’s wrong with being human? Isn’t he
 human too?

I pushed my chair back, heartbeat loud in my ears.

“Human? Seriously? That’s your first question after attacking my mouth?”

He stepped closer. One slow, confident step. His golden eyes glowed like fire catching light.

I stepped back.

River kicked my ankle under the table, painfully. Do not challenge him, his eyes screamed. Please do not challenge him. I like being alive.

The stranger ignored River completely. His attention stayed glued to me.

“You’re interesting,” he said quietly. “But no human smells like that. No human reacts like that when I touch them. So what are you?”

My chest tightened.

His voice dropped lower.

“And why does every instinct in me want you on your knees with my cock in your mouth?”

River slapped his forehead on the table. “We are so dead. Dead. Dead. Ultra dead.”

I wanted to walk away. Breathe. Move.

But my feet wouldn’t obey.

Not because I was scared.

Because something inside me reacted. A spark I didn’t understand. Heat rushed under my skin like someone lit a fire in my blood.

He noticed. Smiled wider.

“Interesting.”

He reached out again, but before he could touch me, a cold voice sliced through the hall behind him.

“That’s enough. Move.”

The psycho with golden eyes didn’t budge.

Another presence brushed my shoulder lightly. Too light, like a warning disguised as a caress.

A smooth voice murmured in my ear:

“You didn’t answer his question, sweetheart. What are you really?”

Before I could respond, another figure stepped forward—tall, broad, dangerous. My heart hammered like it wanted out.

“Can I have a taste? Let’s see how good you really are.”

I froze. My brain short-circuited again. Taste? Good? What the actual fuck is wrong with this place?

“I
 I’m not
 I don’t
” I stammered, trying to steady my voice, but heat rose under my skin, betraying me.

He smirked, leaning closer. The scent hit me first—sharp, intoxicating, every instinct screaming to run while another screamed to obey.

“Relax. I’m not going to hurt you
 unless you want me to.”

I shoved him back hard. “I said no!”

He laughed. Low. Throaty. Shameless. “You have spirit, human. I like that.”

I blinked. My chest tight, stomach twisting, hands shaking. This was insane. Dangerous. Pure chaos. And yet
I didn’t want to move away.

“I
 I’m
” I tried again, words caught in my throat.

Another laugh. Another step closer. “I’ll take that as consent.”

I jumped back, narrowly avoiding his touch, heart slamming against my ribs. “Absolutely not!”

River stayed frozen behind me, eyes wide, trembling. Every muscle in his body screamed fear. I realized I was completely alone in facing this madness.

And yeah
 we were. Absolutely, irrevocably screwed.

Before I could process what just happened, someone from the other side of the hall stepped forward, sharp voice commanding:

“That’s enough.”

The golden-eyed guy straightened, eyes narrowing, then smirked and threw his hands up.

“We’re just joking, man. Relax.”

They backed off and walked to sit with the one who spoke, leaving me blinking in disbelief. My chest still pounding, mind racing faster than it had in years.

River grabbed my arm, dragging me out before I could react.

“What the fuck are you, man?” he hissed, eyes wide.

I blinked. “What do you mean?”

River shook his head, exasperated. “You got the attention of the craziest, most powerful student in the academy. He kissed you on your first meeting! This has never happened. Ever. He doesn’t even
 screw men.”

I froze. My stomach dropped. Brain short-circuited. “He
 what?”

River let out a sharp breath, pacing. “Yeah. That guy
he’s untouchable. Nobody messes with him. But somehow
you made him do that. You. And now he’s intrigued. You have no idea what you’ve stepped into.”

I swallowed hard, feeling the weight pressing down. This wasn’t just a weird initiation. It was a warning. A challenge. And for some reason, I couldn’t stop my heart from racing—not just with fear, but
something else I didn’t want to admit.

River shook his head again, voice softer. “You have no idea what you’re walking into, weirdo. Just
 don’t do anything stupid.”

I clenched my fists, trying to calm my racing thoughts. I had no idea what I’d gotten myself into. None.

đŸ–±ïžJaydenđŸ–±ïžâ€œYou are my everything, Jayden,” Sammy’s voice cracked as he stood there, eyes glistening under the soft sunlight filtering through the cathedral windows. His hands shook just slightly as he held mine, but there was no hesitation in his gaze, only a depth of love that made my chest ache. “From the first moment I saw you, I knew my world had changed. I knew that no matter what storms came, no matter how far the darkness reached, I would never stop fighting for you, for us. You are my fire, my peace, and my home, and today I vow to love you endlessly, to protect you fiercely, and to never let you face the world alone, even when it tries to break you. I promise to carry your heart with mine, to lift you when you fall, and to always be the voice that reminds you how remarkable, how breathtaking, and how fiercely loved you are.”His words hit me like a tidal wave. I felt my throat tighten, my eyes burn, and I could barely catch my breath. I had imagined this day a thousand t

đŸ–±ïžJaydenđŸ–±ïžâ€œYou look beyond beautiful, Jane,” I said as I stood by the doorway watching my best friend stare at herself in the mirror, adjusting the edge of her wedding veil like she was inspecting a masterpiece.Jane slowly turned her head toward me, a confident smile already forming on her face.“I know,” she said proudly. “I’m the most beautiful girl of all time.”I let out a small laugh and shook my head, walking further into the room while looking at her from head to toe. The dress really was perfect. Soft white silk flowed down her body and tiny crystals caught the sunlight pouring through the window, making her look like she was glowing.“But are you certain that you really want to get married to River?” I asked with a teasing smile. “I mean I could still get you a better man if you want. I’m a king, Jane. I have options.”Jane gasped dramatically and placed a hand over her chest like I had just deeply offended her.“A better man?” she repeated slowly. “Jayden, please. River

đŸ–±ïžJaydenđŸ–±ïžThe first rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains, making the whole palace shimmer in gold, and I couldn’t help but smile even though the morning air still carried a little weight of last year’s grief. It had been a full year since Victor’s passing, and some days it felt like yesterday, like his laugh could echo in the halls any moment, and some days it felt like a lifetime, like the world had shifted and we were just trying to catch up. But today wasn’t about grief it was about celebration. The Festival of Light had been announced months ago, a festival where every kingdom, every supernatural race, and every magical citizen would gather to celebrate the balance we’d fought so hard to preserve. And I, along with Sammy, would be at the heart of it, not as scared kids anymore, but as rulers who had survived, who had loved, and who had carried a fallen king’s legacy forward.I stretched and felt Sammy’s warmth beside me. He was still half-asleep, curls messy, and yet

đŸ–±ïžSammyđŸ–±ïžI still can’t believe he was truly gone even after one full year of his death, and the fact that I’m now king and done with college while Jayden is still in school, mostly home-schooled, is something I’m still adjusting to. Some days it hits me like a punch in the chest, that Victor isn’t going to walk into the room with that smug smile of his, teasing both of us, or reminding me that I still can’t beat him at chess no matter how many times I try. And yet, here we are, running the entire supernatural world together, carrying his memory like a torch that never dims, making sure his sacrifice wasn’t wasted.Jayden’s been incredible through all of it, though, showing a strength I never knew he had. Every time we meet with rulers from different kingdoms, I can see him learning, observing, adapting, and somehow managing to stay compassionate while wielding a power most people couldn’t even dream of controlling. The way he talks to them, the way he listens to the citizens, it’

đŸ–±ïžJaydenđŸ–±ïž “Do you want me around, or should I come over with your dada?” The voice on the phone was calm, familiar, and strong, and I could feel the weight of concern in every word. I wiped the fresh tears from my cheeks, trying to straighten my back, trying to pull myself together. I forced a smile even though it felt fragile, shaky at best. “Papa
I’m supposed to rule a world. I have to be a man
a boy who still needs his papa and dada can’t rule,” I said, my voice carrying the conflict I felt inside. There was a pause on the other side, and then his warm, steady voice cut through the fog of my grief. “And who said that, son? My son is a very strong man. He can do anything he sets his mind to. You think ruling is just sitting on a throne? No, son. It’s being patient. It’s knowing when to speak and when to listen. It’s understanding your people, even when your heart aches for someone you’ve lost. You are strong, Jayden. Don’t let grief make you forget that.” I swallowed hard, t
