đŸ–±ïžJaydenđŸ–±ïž

Dinner was starting to feel normal. Or at least normal for a place filled with wings, claws, and people who think violence is a greeting.

I was halfway through a bowl of something River promised wouldn’t poison me when a warm breath hit the back of my neck.

A slow inhale.

A very intrusive sniff.

I froze.

What the actual fuck.

River’s eyes widened, and his head snapped down like he was praying to every god in existence. That alone should’ve been my first sign to run.

I turned around.

And came face to face with pure insanity.

Tall. Sharp-eyed. Smiling like he had just discovered dessert.

Before I could blink, he leaned down, grabbed my chin, and

His mouth was on mine.

My brain short-circuited.

I shoved him so hard he stumbled back.

“What the actual fuck, man!” Did I just lose my first kiss? This is irritating.

He wiped his mouth slowly with the back of his hand, eyes glinting, lazy smile in place. Illegal.

“He tastes as good as he smells,” he said, low, amused, unnervingly calm.

The entire table went silent.

River whispered under his breath, eyes wide: “We are so dead. Actual corpses.”

The stranger tilted his head, studying me like I was breaking every law in existence.

“But you’re human. How come you’re here?”

Human.

The word sounded like an accusation. What’s wrong with being human? Isn’t he
 human too?

I pushed my chair back, heartbeat loud in my ears.

“Human? Seriously? That’s your first question after attacking my mouth?”

He stepped closer. One slow, confident step. His golden eyes glowed like fire catching light.

I stepped back.

River kicked my ankle under the table, painfully. Do not challenge him, his eyes screamed. Please do not challenge him. I like being alive.

The stranger ignored River completely. His attention stayed glued to me.

“You’re interesting,” he said quietly. “But no human smells like that. No human reacts like that when I touch them. So what are you?”

My chest tightened.

His voice dropped lower.

“And why does every instinct in me want you on your knees with my cock in your mouth?”

River slapped his forehead on the table. “We are so dead. Dead. Dead. Ultra dead.”

I wanted to walk away. Breathe. Move.

But my feet wouldn’t obey.

Not because I was scared.

Because something inside me reacted. A spark I didn’t understand. Heat rushed under my skin like someone lit a fire in my blood.

He noticed. Smiled wider.

“Interesting.”

He reached out again, but before he could touch me, a cold voice sliced through the hall behind him.

“That’s enough. Move.”

The psycho with golden eyes didn’t budge.

Another presence brushed my shoulder lightly. Too light, like a warning disguised as a caress.

A smooth voice murmured in my ear:

“You didn’t answer his question, sweetheart. What are you really?”

Before I could respond, another figure stepped forward—tall, broad, dangerous. My heart hammered like it wanted out.

“Can I have a taste? Let’s see how good you really are.”

I froze. My brain short-circuited again. Taste? Good? What the actual fuck is wrong with this place?

“I
 I’m not
 I don’t
” I stammered, trying to steady my voice, but heat rose under my skin, betraying me.

He smirked, leaning closer. The scent hit me first—sharp, intoxicating, every instinct screaming to run while another screamed to obey.

“Relax. I’m not going to hurt you
 unless you want me to.”

I shoved him back hard. “I said no!”

He laughed. Low. Throaty. Shameless. “You have spirit, human. I like that.”

I blinked. My chest tight, stomach twisting, hands shaking. This was insane. Dangerous. Pure chaos. And yet
I didn’t want to move away.

“I
 I’m
” I tried again, words caught in my throat.

Another laugh. Another step closer. “I’ll take that as consent.”

I jumped back, narrowly avoiding his touch, heart slamming against my ribs. “Absolutely not!”

River stayed frozen behind me, eyes wide, trembling. Every muscle in his body screamed fear. I realized I was completely alone in facing this madness.

And yeah
 we were. Absolutely, irrevocably screwed.

Before I could process what just happened, someone from the other side of the hall stepped forward, sharp voice commanding:

“That’s enough.”

The golden-eyed guy straightened, eyes narrowing, then smirked and threw his hands up.

“We’re just joking, man. Relax.”

They backed off and walked to sit with the one who spoke, leaving me blinking in disbelief. My chest still pounding, mind racing faster than it had in years.

River grabbed my arm, dragging me out before I could react.

“What the fuck are you, man?” he hissed, eyes wide.

I blinked. “What do you mean?”

River shook his head, exasperated. “You got the attention of the craziest, most powerful student in the academy. He kissed you on your first meeting! This has never happened. Ever. He doesn’t even
 screw men.”

I froze. My stomach dropped. Brain short-circuited. “He
 what?”

River let out a sharp breath, pacing. “Yeah. That guy
he’s untouchable. Nobody messes with him. But somehow
you made him do that. You. And now he’s intrigued. You have no idea what you’ve stepped into.”

I swallowed hard, feeling the weight pressing down. This wasn’t just a weird initiation. It was a warning. A challenge. And for some reason, I couldn’t stop my heart from racing—not just with fear, but
something else I didn’t want to admit.

River shook his head again, voice softer. “You have no idea what you’re walking into, weirdo. Just
 don’t do anything stupid.”

I clenched my fists, trying to calm my racing thoughts. I had no idea what I’d gotten myself into. None.

đŸ–±ïžJaydenđŸ–±ïžâ€œCan someone read the content,” I asked quietly, my voice still rough, “because I believe this thing is written in English.”The words on the open pages swam slightly in my vision, not because they were unclear but because my head still felt like it had been shaken and set back wrong. I could see letters. Proper letters. Lines. Paragraphs. This was not some ancient runic nonsense or glowing prophecy language. It looked almost ordinary, which somehow made it more unsettling.Jane leaned closer immediately, curiosity winning over caution like it always did with her. She released my hand and carefully lifted the book off my chest, settling it between her palms like it might bite if mishandled.“It is English,” she said after a quick scan. Then her brows pulled together. “But
this is strange.”Sammy shifted beside the bed, impatience tightening his shoulders. “Does it even matter who wrote it. Just read the bloody content.”Jane shot him a look but did not argue. She cleared

đŸ–±ïžJaydenđŸ–±ïžMy whole body felt wrong. Not pain exactly. Worse than pain. It was like someone had reached inside me and scooped everything out with brutal efficiency, leaving behind a shell that still breathed but barely remembered how. Every muscle felt hollow, heavy, useless. Even blinking took effort.Energy had not drained from me.It had been ripped out.One moment I was standing, forcing reality to obey my voice, forcing kings and time and memory to kneel, and the next my legs gave out completely. If Sammy had not been there, I would have hit the floor like a discarded weapon.I barely remembered falling into his arms. I only remembered the way he held me, tight and desperate, like letting go would end me for real. For a second, everything went quiet inside my head. No roaring power. Just emptiness. And somehow
peace.Jane appeared almost immediately. Of course she did. She always showed up when things went sideways, like chaos personally sent her a memo. Her hands were firm an

    đŸ–±ïžVictorđŸ–±ïž ‘Ok dude
 I think
no. I know. I am in love with this soulmate of ours.’ The thought did not come from me. It came from the thing that lived under my skin, the thing that watched and waited and growled when the world got too close. My monster said it calmly, like it was stating a fact everyone else had somehow missed, and the second it did, my chest tightened so hard I had to suck in a breath just to stay upright. After the miracle Jayden just performed, after watching my father walk away like his mind had been wiped clean by a god with attitude, there was no other word for it. Miracle. Everything about him felt insane. Unreal. Like I had slipped into one of those dreams where nothing makes sense but your heart knows exactly where to stand. Reality felt thin, stretched too far, and part of me kept waiting to wake up in my bed with blood on my lip and my father yelling down the hall. But I did not wake up. Jayden stood there for one last second, pale and shaking, eye

đŸ–±ïžSammyđŸ–±ïžMaybe Jane teleported them to her room. Maybe she dragged them into some pocket of space only her insane fairy brain understands. I honestly did not know how it happened, only that one second the room was crowded with danger and secrets and the next it was empty enough for my lungs to work again. Whatever she did, it worked, and I sent a silent prayer to every goddess that ever existed because if my mate had been caught in here, nothing in this realm would have survived what came next.My father turned slowly, his sharp gaze sweeping the room one last time, nostrils flaring as he searched for traces that were no longer there. Then he looked at me, eyes narrowing with that familiar mix of authority and disappointment.“I told you,” I said, forcing my shoulders back even though my heart was pounding. “There was no one in there. I was not hiding anyone from you. Do you believe me now.”He studied my face like he was looking for cracks, for hesitation, for the boy he could sti

đŸ–±ïžJaydenđŸ–±ïž The first time Sammy’s father raised his hand, something ugly and terrifying stirred in my blood, hot enough that for a second all I wanted was to tear his throat out and watch the Alpha King learn what it meant to touch someone who belonged to me. I did not do it. I forced myself to breathe, forced my power to stay quiet, because killing him would have shattered Sammy in ways even time could not fix. Control mattered more than rage in that moment, and somehow I found it. Still, my blood remembered. I had only touched Jane, barely brushed her wrist, and her power answered me like it had been waiting for permission all along. The space around us folded without resistance and the world slipped sideways, neat and obedient, carrying us out of Sammy’s room before his father could rip the truth out of him with his bare hands. I did not plan it. I ordered it, and the difference scared me more than I wanted to admit. Now Victor’s father stood in front of us and he was not maki

đŸ–±ïžVictorđŸ–±ïž One moment we were in Sammy’s bathroom and his father was talking about four days like we actually spend that much days away. The tension between them felt too familiar, sharp in a way I recognized instantly, the same weight that always hung between my father and me, love twisted into authority and fear disguised as concern. When we heard him approaching the door, I actually thought game over
my father will murder me in cold blood if he finds me here and the alpha king is not the type to keep quiet. Jayden movement surprised the shit out me. I did not even feel the magic build. There was no warning, no ripple, just Jayden grabbing Jane’s wrist like he had done it a thousand times before and suddenly the air folded in on itself. The room vanished. Sammy voice vanished. My stomach dropped like I had been thrown off a cliff and the world snapped back together in a blur of shadows and heat. We reappeared in my room. Right in front of Tony. Tony screamed.
