He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

“Tell me please,” he insisted, waiting impatiently for me to say something. I lowered my face to breathe out and then steadily pushed my body towards him to let him fill me in his arms and comfort my aching soul.

As soon as our bodies met, I noticed his heart racing like a speeding car inside his chest. I bet he didn’t expect me to react like that. He instantly wrapped his arms around me and hugged me, saving me from the world.

“I was so--- sca---red, I tho----ught you wi---ll take their side and pro---bably make me plea---,” I didn’t even finish when he broke the hug and cupped my face in his hands.

“No! never!” his eyes expressed the intensity he had applied while answering me, “Cordelia! No way I would ever let anyone hurt you,” hos words sounded like a melody.

“As long as I am alive, no harm will come your way, no matter who is the person against you, they are against me,” as he whispered again, I felt my body reacting differently.
