25| Beginning of the night
Nikki's POV
Xaphan grabbed my wrist and pulled it away from the man's hold forcefully, while his eyes were shooting daggers at him. It seems like he wanted to dig him in the Earth alive but was controlling himself anyhow.
"Would you like to dance with me, my beautiful wife?" Xaphan asked in honey dipped voice.
My heart skipped a beat when he called me 'His beautiful wife' and for the first time his voice felt melodious to my ear.
I looked between Xaphan and the man who asked me earlier for the dance and gave my hand willingly to my fake husband because at present his side seems safe.
