NARRATIVE
In the business area of Birmingham's city, stood the sixty floors headquarters of JP's Enterprise. The building stood tall amidst several huge industries and companies. Each floor was occupied by employees in various departments of the company. However, there was a secret underground office that runs the private investigations of the chairman. Only few knew of its existence. In there, Finley stood with his arms crossed, giving out orders to the expert hackers and programmers specifically hired by the chairman for business purpose. 'Make sure you find her. Keep typing, tracking, scanning, hacking or doing whatever you have to do. Just make sure you give me a location in the next five minutes.' He said as he began walking about the big room, his hands now folded at his back. He ran his blue eyes over each of the 50 hackers and their computers, dropping some comments when necessary. It wasn't even two minutes later when the only female hacker amongst them, called his attention. She was known to be the fastest and smartest hacker amongst all of them. She was specially selected by Chairman Grey himself. 'I got his location.' She said as she continued to type, her fast fingers working magic on the computers before her. 'Really? That's so smart Lexi.' Finley was already at her side, peering over the computers as he watched a photo popped up in scanning process. 'His name is Mason Stone, the right hand man of Aimee Brooke_ former resident of Birmingham City. They're presently with the girls at Aimee's family farmhouse in Middlesbrough. I'm sending you the home address right away.' Lexi said. 'Oh that's great. Y'all keep an eye on the address, I'll let the chairman know we've found her.' He said, pulling out his phone from a side pocket in his suit and walking away to call Jamie Grey.****** At the highest floor of JP's Enterprise, the chairman sat in his office busy with some documents. He stopped upon hearing his private line ring. 'Finley, have you found her?' He asked immediately he accepted the call. 'Yes, Mr Chairman. She's at Aimee Brooke's farmhouse in Middlesbrough currently. Shall I dispatch some men over?' Finley carefully asked from his end of the line. 'Aimee Brooke you said?' Jamie Grey asked, reclining on his chair. 'Yes Sir. Should I send some people over?' Finley repeated. 'No.' Jamie deadpanned. 'Leave it be for now, you've done well. I'll handle the rest myself.' He said. 'Okay Sir.' Finley said and Jamie ended the call. 'Aimee Brooke...' He muttered with a small smile, stroking his beards again. Something he does anytime he's in thought or when he is trying to think.Soon, he picked up his phone and dialed a number. However, It wasn't received. He then sent a short text to someone.NARRATIVE 'Hahahaha,' Scarlett laughed, clapping her hands in feigned enthusiasm. 'That was such a fantastic line mother, you almost got me there.' She laughed emotionlessly again. Scarlett stood up shakily, her knees weak and her legs wobbly beneath her slender frame. She stares at Skylar as she laughed. 'Sky, did you see that? My mom's gotta be the best actress there is, don't you agree?' She laughed as she began walking aimlessly around, while shaking her head at intervals. She refused to believe all that's happened from the moment at the canal to this time. Her Mom must be really joking. Scarlett felt tears pool at her eyes as she paced about the room dazedly. Her head was in complete chaos right now. Skylar wiped the tears from her eyes with the back of her hand. In a matter of seconds, she hurried to Scarlett and pulled her with her to sit down. Scarlett finally gave in to her emotions as she began crying convulsively while her eyes held a desperate pleading stare at Aimee. 'Mom, tell me that was a joke right now. Please, tell me that wasn't true.' Hot tears ran down her cheeks and her vision blurred. Aimee sniffed from her tears and shakes her head at her. 'I'm so sorry Scarlett,' she cried. 'Baby I'm so sorry.' Scarlett went to grab her hands that instant. 'Does this have anything to do with your reluctance in letting me come here?' Aimee raised her eyes to her and nodded slowly. 'I'm sorry for being stubborn and not listening to you earlier. Let's go back home. We can do that right?' She asked. Aimee slowly shake her head in disagreement. 'Scarlett, we can't!' 'It's fine Mom,' Scarlett sniffed. 'I...I really wish it is.' Tears ran down her cheeks. 'This doesn't change the fact that I'm still your daughter right? I am, right?' She asked tearily. Aimee immediately cupped her cheeks and caressed them -ever so gently- with her thumb as she nodded positively, trying to manage a teary smile. 'You're still my baby Scarlett, that doesn't change. But you must return to your father. He needs you.' She stated. Scarlett raised a brow in confusion while Skylar sat up on her chair. 'My father?' Aimee nodded.IMOGEN 'She only needs a few hours of rest and she'll be fine.' Doctor Greg announced after his examinations on mother and I exhaled in relief. 'Thank you Doctor Greg,' Ashton said beside me. I came back with the doctor to find him in Mum's room already. Well, I don't know what they'd discussed but I don't think it's that important, other than Mom wanting to find Dad. Doctor Greg tapped Ashton's shoulder and smiled at me before he walked out with his bag. 'Mum,' I went to sit on the bed beside her and she smiled at me. 'See? I told you I'm fine.' She brushed my hair with her hand and I pouted. 'Ashton, don't forget what I've told you. You have to keep an eye on your Dad for me.'I know it wasn't more than that... 'I'll do that Mum.' He looked at me. 'What happened to the business meeting with Song and Kwan Group? Don't tell me you were rejected again.' He chuckled mockingly and I rolled my eyes at him. Sometimes I doubt we're related but hellooo, we are Twins!Stupid freak...AIMEE'S POV 'Yes, Scarlett. You're the daughter of Paige and Jamie Grey of JP's Enterprise.' I announced and the girls, particularly Skylar jumped out of her seat while Scarlett laughed dramatically. 'Sorry? What did you say? My sugarplum is the daughter of Chairman Grey?! I'm sorry Aunt Aimee but isn't that so absurd to believe?!' Skylar said with her hands on her waist. 'I understand it's hard to believe but if you girls would just hear me out, everything will be made clear.' I said and she sat down back. 'Can't we continue this some other time? I don't think I can deal with anymore revelations.' Scarlett said and my heart went out to her that moment. My poor baby girl... 'I'd have love to do that too baby, but we can't delay any longer. Your mom's death anniversary is in a few days and your father would want you to be home before then.' I sighed. 'You mean, the dead woman on that banner at the canal is truly my mother?' She asked with widen eyes. I nodded. 'What
SCARLETT'S POV I could feel the reflection of the morning sun, cascading from the open window down my face. My lashes fluttered continuously but I wasn't willing to open my eyes to the reality I'm yet to submit to. Everything still felt like a dream and I wanted it to be but every other morning I woke up since the big reveal, made me realize that I have to give up my dreams and live in my reality. It was a tough decision even though, I've been preparing for this subconsciously for a while now. My birth mom already paved the way, all I need to do was follow. But I'm so scared! I don't know how this new life would treat me. I'm worried as it seems I'll be alone in it. Mom and Sky would return and I'll be alone. How was I supposed to cope in a house with the woman who killed my mother? Without any form of defense, no skills whatsoever? I felt breathe on my skin and I finally let my eyes open. I turn around that moment and I almost had a heart attack. 'Jeez! Sky, what the
SCARLETT'S POV 'Sir Chairman, the young Miss is here.' The guard announced the moment we walked in and I seized my breathing. Here goes nothing... I pursed my lips as I took in his features. He was tall and standing with his back to us, his hands folded behind his waist. His auburn hair had few stripes of gray at the side; either from aging or maybe a dye. The man was dressed in a tuxedo. I watched him with my heart beating hard against my chest and then...he turned around. His dark green eyes lit up the moment he saw me and for a moment, he looked dazed. 'You look so much like your mother.' He smiled but I noticed the tears that clouded his eyes as he said those words. I swallowed nothing as I struggled within me for words _for the right words to say at such a moment. Was I supposed to say thank you? Hello? Hi? Good morning or whatever? Gosh! Someone tell me what to do... 'Hi...uh...uhm Da..dad?' I stuttered between words. My father chuckled softly and walked across t
IMOGEN'S POV While growing up I've heard people talk all sorts of things about mother but I never got used to hearing it. Especially when they say she betrayed her best friend or stole her bestfriend's man, leading her to an untimely death. You see, I don't care about those rumors or how true they might be. Each time I'm forced to think of the possibility of my mom doing that, I reminded myself that she brought me and my brother to this world. She gave us the perfect life anyone could ask for. People could talk about us at our backs for all I care, but I won't tolerate it when I'm a witness to such at the moment. I couldn't stay back and do nothing when I hear such. I smirked as their eyes widened on recognizing me, surely they didn't realize I was here. 'What were you saying about my mother just now?' I stood up and stride towards them, expecting them to be panicky but they were not. They seem rather...amused? Do I look funny to them? 'Awwn,' the tall woman with blue

The twins had discovered to their consternation, that their father truly had another child aside them. Harriet was petrified as she couldn't understand how it all happened. She was even more uneasy as Jamie wasn't asking her any questions as to how or why she told him years ago that his child had died. Although burning with rage and dread within her, she tried to keep her cool. She knew Jamie was watching her now so she must ensure he finds no reason to suspect her and put her behind bars or take her away from her kids. They were everything to her. The reason why she was still alive and breathing fine. Imogen wasn't comfortable with the idea of having another family member, especially one from a different mother. As she felt she would have to compete for her father's love and attenti
NARRATIVE Ashton poured yet another content of champagne into his wine glass, ignoring the noise and chitchat going on around inside the bar. It was past noon and he had left the office to come cool his head after the unexpected turn of events at the company during the morning conference. He was reluctant about going home now because of the new family member that would be coming to the house during dinner. His hands caressed the wine glass and his green down-turned shaped eyes bore a distant look in them, as he leaned on the bar chair. His phone which was on silent mode, kept ringing consistently but he wasn't willing to answer the call. Even though it was an unknown number calling, he refused to pick up because he knew it was none other than Cora, his twin sister's best friend. The girl have been obsessed with him ever since they shared a kiss during a truth and dare game they played, when they were teenagers. Ashton was already tired of her, he's blocked her number alrea
SCARLETT'S POV 'Do you like it?' Dad asked immediately we walked in the amazingly furnished room. It was beautiful, exactly how I love my room to look. Sky would say it's girlie perfect. 'Yes Dad, it's perfect.' I said and he smiled. 'But if you don't mind, I'll like to stay in mom's room if it's still available.' I requested and Dad paused for a while. 'Alright Heidi, since that's what you want I'll have someone clean it up for you. You can rest here tonight. When your friend comes, this could be her room.' He said. Yup! I already talked about everything with Dad so don't be surprised. 'Thank you Dad. But by cleaning it up, hope you won't be moving her stuff? I'd love it the way she'd left it.' He smiled. 'Aimee was right, you're exactly like your Mom. Don't worry, I didn't have anyone touch her properties for over two decades, I won't now. Especially when you're here.' He said and I smiled. 'That's so sweet of you. Thank you Dad.' I grinned and he chuckled. 'G
NARRATIVE Ashton was just about to step out the Grey's family manor upon receiving an urgent call from his friend, Logan when his sister stopped him. "Ashton, where are you going dressed like that? Did you forget? That woman's death anniversary is today and you know the rules. Especially with that strange girl showing up. Also the press conference is going to hold in few minutes. I hope you're not trying to get off father's good books? Mother would be disappointed." Imogen said with a lazy smile on. She was just coming downstairs from her room when she saw her brother dressed casually, his car key in hand as he walked hurriedly, towards the entrance/ exit door of their home. On a normal day, she wouldn't be concerned over her twin brother's activities but today, for their sake and their mother's, they needed to trade cautiously. Unlike herself, Ashton had always been the obedient one and as such, Imogen was surprised when she saw him in this situation. He wasn't wearing
