Luciana's POV

The sudden reaction of Klein shocked me. I immediately followed him, grabbing his hand to stop him from walking away.

“Klein, wait.”

He stopped from walking and faced me. Klein, still wearing his usual aura that made me sigh. I don't know what triggers him to walk away. I just told him about what happened last night.

“What's wrong, Klein?” I asked.

He took out a deep breath, calming himself.

“I need to talk to Massimo. I just needed to confront him to find out if he did something to you, Luciana,” Klein explained.

My eyes widened from what he said. I never expected Klein to utter those words at me. My heart already pounded so fast.

“Hey, he didn't do anything to me. Massimo just asked for my help. He was wounded because a mad wolf attacked him last night. I just have to save your brother because I think that's the right thing to do.”

When he heard my explanation, Klein calmed down. He took my hands and held it tightly, while looking at me deep into my eyes.
