Chapter 9

Luciana's POV

I could feel my heart pause from beating when I heard these words from Aurora. My body was shaking as I rushed towards the boutique and when I entered it, I saw all my plants being destroyed.

I fell on my knees, my lips trembling.

“N-No! Stop it!” I screamed, attacking the warriors from destroying my plants.

They pushed me away, threatening me not to stop them.

“You can't do anything about it. This is Alpha Massimo's order. He's the new Alpha King, and he has all the rights to do this!”

I gritted my teeth upon hearing these words towards the warrior. My friends at the back tried to comfort me. I know they can't do anything to stop these warriors because their parents are working with the Alpha. 

“I don't care who commands you, but you can't destroy my property! These are my plants, so please stop this. I'm asking all of you to get out of my boutique!” I yelled, trying to prevent them with their plans.

I understand that it's impossible to disobey the Alpha's orders, but I am still hoping they will consider me. Massimo's anger at me is beyond uncontrollable. This is all because of him!

He just provoke me to pursue my plans after everything he did and if I am still the same me, I would've been crying my heart out now. But I never do that. I promise myself that I won't show them my tears anymore.

“You can't do anything about it, Luciana. We will destroy your boutique because the Alpha commands us. So, if I were you, better step away, or we will drag you out!”

I couldn't do anything but watch the warriors destroy my property. My heart is screaming seeing all the plants I've grown. I put all my heart into taking good care of them as they play a big part in healing all types of diseases, but these assholes never think about that.

“This is all Massimo's fault!” I gritted my teeth, eyes darkened. “I will make him pay!”

“Oh, really? You can do that towards the Alpha King?”

Scarlet's voice echoes in my head. I looked up and saw her smiling face. Beside her was Massimo, the great Massimo. Seeing them together, I just felt my eyes start to darken, and my mind blank.

Anger began to rise within my heart, but I controlled myself. Even though I am still in pain for what they did to my plants, I did my best to stand up and face them.

“Do you really want to make me suffer, Alpha Massimo?” I asked in courage. 

He furrowed his brows, still looking at me straight in the eyes.

“Watch out your mouth, Luciana. You're talking to the Alpha King!” Scarlet mumbled. 

I gritted my teeth, throwing her a deadly glare. Despite the obvious anger from my face, Scarlet never gets startled. She remained standing, her arms crossed.

“You will definitely regret this, Alpha Massimo. I will make sure that all the pain you've caused will come back to you and once that happens, I will be the one laughing at you!”

I could no longer control myself. Remaining calmed despite what they did won't work out anymore. I pushed away Scarlet and that made the woman mad.

“You bit—”

She raised her hand, preparing to slap me across my face. But a big and strong hand stops her. I looked at my side, my mouth widened upon seeing Alpha Klein. 

He arrived when Scarlet was about to slap me.

“A-Alpha Klein,” Scarlet mumbled, and shocked written on her face.

“Who told you to hurt her?” Klein asked, his tone calm, but deadly.

“She pushed me away, Alpha. That damn woman started it!” Scarlet explained, but Klein shook his head. 

He looked up at his brother, Massimo, whose expression remained hard to guess.

“And what about you, Massimo? Why are you letting these assholes destroy Luciana's property? Is it not against our laws?” Klein asked, but Massimo's lips curled. 

“I can do whatever I want to do with my enemies because I am now the law here, Brother. You're supposed to obey me as well even if we're siblings. Why are you so affected by this damn woman?”

I clenched my fists after hearing what Massimo just called me.

‘Call me a damn girl now, Massimo. I will make sure that you will regret this when the time comes,’ I stated at the back of my head.

“Luciana is a woman, Massimo. Most of all, she's not our enemy. You just hated her because she became your mate. Are you not aware that these plants from her boutique have helped some ordinary wolves to heal their diseases?”

I bend my head down. No one knew that my plants were the ones who heal the sick wolves. Calista's mother is a pack doctor and only us who knew that she's using my medicines to cure the wolves. But now, Alpha Klein knows it. I was shocked.

“What? This stinky woman's plants are healing the wolves' sickness?” Scarlet mumbled, disbelief written on her face. “That's not true!”

I sighed. What do I expect from her?

“Shut up, Scarlet. I am not asking for your opinion!” Klein exclaimed, and Scarlet was speechless. “And you, Massimo. You never investigate how helpful these plants are and just because of what you did, the pack doctors will definitely struggle to find enough medicines to cure the sick wolves.”

I just kept my head down while Klein was scolding Massimo. No words came out from my lips because I have trust in Alpha Klein. I believe he knows what to do.

“I don't care about it, Klein. You can't dictate to me what I should do and what I should not. Luciana is still the pack's current problem. Her smell brought poison to the pack's air. She should be thrown away and I will push this. If I were you, stop defending her. You can't get anything from her.” 

I bit my lower lips as my way to stop my blood from boiling. Alpha Massimo stayed firm with his decision. His hatred for me is beyond the ground and this is too much. I should not let him continue to humiliate me.

“I don't know what makes you so cold-blooded, Brother. You are not like this before and as far as I know, you're only concerned with our biggest enemies. But right now, you are too concerned with one woman who did nothing to you at all.” 

Klein is shaking his head upon saying these words to Massimo. At this time, I decided to lift my head and looked at Massimo with my dark expression. He needs to know that I am not pleased with what he did.

“I don't need to explain to you, Klein. Leave this store because this is none of your business. But if you force me to stay and meddle with my decision, then I will order my men to drag you.” 

“I'm not leaving Luciana, the woman my heart screams of.”

And Klein's words made them gasp.
