Chapter 8

Luciana's POV

“I agreed to your plan, Alpha Klein.” 

After he opened the door of his house, I went directly to my plans. Alpha Klein's serious face from earlier turned into a sneer when he heard my words. 

He tilted his head, looking at me straight in the eyes.

“Come in, and we will talk about our plans.” 

Taking a deep breath, I narrowed my eyes to the surroundings just to make sure that no one would notice me entering the second powerful Alpha.

The moment I entered his house, I couldn't help but feel amazed. He has an elegant place and no doubt. He's truly a son of a royal family.

“Sit down, Luciana.”

Klein motioned me to sit down, but I remained standing. I won't be staying long after all.

“I didn't come here to stay long, Alpha Klein. You know why I came here.”

He smiled at me and said, “I know, Luciana, and I'm glad that you made up your mind. What's pushing you through?”

I tilted my head when he began to interrogate me. 

“I couldn't bear the pain that your brother is giving me. He keeps hurting me even though he already rejected me. I heard them planning something against me and I would like to exceed them. He's planning to play my heart, which I won't allow,” I responded in my cold tone.

Alpha Klein's reaction turned serious. He crossed his arms, while looking me straight in the eyes. As he does that, I never flinched. I met his alluring gaze instead.

“That asshole doesn't change. He keeps hurting women's hearts, but don't worry we will teach him a lesson. He can't play with your heart and that's what I can promise to you, Luciana.”

I couldn't help but furrow my brows while looking at Alpha Klein. It's still a question to me about his reasons for helping me deal with his brother. He won't do this not until he has other reasons.

“Let me ask, Alpha Klein. What's your reason for doing this?” I uttered and continued, “I mean, he's your brother—”

“Because I wanted him to realize that women are not toys. He should stop from what he's doing and through this, maybe he will realize that what he's doing is not right. Just don't get me wrong, Luciana. I am only helping my brother find love. He's covered with anger.”

My mouth widened from what I learned about. I wanted to ask Alpha Klein the background of his brother, but I realized that there's no need for that. It's no longer important because my mission is just to make him taste his medicine.

“Then it's a win-win situation. You will punish your brother and I will give him a lesson that I am not who I am as what he knows. I will make him realize that he can play with everyone, except me.” 

Alpha Klein smiled from what I mentioned. 

He nodded, “Don't worry about everything, Luciana. I will start the mission and all you need to do is to go with the flow. I know what can touch my brother's pride.” 

A smirk formed on my lips when Alpha Klein uttered these words to me. I thought he's done talking, but it's not yet.

“I will pretend to court you and open it to everyone so that we can't only get back to Massimo but also those who underestimate you.”

I was stunned upon hearing these words, my eyes widened while looking at Alpha Klein. He was already smiling, and I blinked many times to make sure that I was in the place where I heard those words. But I did. Alpha Klein really told me those words. I wasn't hallucinating and I don't know what I should feel right now.

“B-But is it a good idea, Alpha Klein? What if your parents know about this?” 

Alpha Klein moves forward, making me step backward. My heart started pounding so fast, while meeting his eyes. 

“I'm here, Luciana. Once they know that I started courting you, they will fear to touch you. No bullies will attack you because I won't allow that to happen. This is the only way to touch the ego of my brother. If he learned that I am courting the woman he rejected, I could already see what he will do.”

I swallowed hard not because of what he said, but on how close we are right now. Shaking my head, I move away from him.

“Whatever your plans are, I will support it as long as it targets the asshole Alpha Massimo. I can't wait to make him pay for what he did to me. His rejection worsened the backlash I received from everyone, and it's time for me to get back to them. But we are not going to attack them physically, Alpha Klein,” I responded.

Alpha Klein nodded his head. He knows what I mean. I just don't want to get my revenge through hurting them physically because it's not me. Despite what they did to me, I won't be using my hands to get back to them. 

But it is time to use my mind.

“Okay, that's fixed. We will start our mission tomorrow, Luciana,” Alpha Klein uttered. 

I nodded my head and turned my body at the door. Just when I'm about to step away, he stopped me by uttering some words.

“You're not telling your friends about our plans, or we're doomed. Keep this secret between the two of us, Luciana. Consider this as my help for you and your help for me as well to soften my brother's heart.”

I froze in my direction, while the pounding of my heart was still the same. Taking out a deep breath, I nodded. 

“You can trust me, Alpha Klein. I won't be telling anyone about this.”

And with that, I stormed out of his place. I went straight to my cabin and rested. Tomorrow is another day, and it's the day for our mission to formally start with. Thinking about that made my heart pound so fast. 

I couldn't wait to see the reactions of those who downgrade me. The thing that they will discover by tomorrow will be a blast indeed.

And the next morning, I woke up early to go to our boutique. My friends just called and informed me that someone is waiting for me. 

I can't help but wonder who is looking for me in this kind of hour. It's still early, but maybe it's urgent.

When I arrived at the boutique, I found my friends waiting outside. Their reactions made me nervous.

“Goodness, you finally came!”

I furrowed my brows, wondering what my friends are up to. 

“What's wrong?” 

Calista took out a deep breath, worries written to her face. Seeing that reaction, I know something happens.

I looked around, trying to see some hints about what's going on, and then I noticed some warriors around our small boutique.

“They are destroying everything we built, Luciana, and it is the Alpha King's order to them.”
