ROMAN

The first thing I noticed as I slowly opened my eyes was the sharp smell of antiseptic and the soft humming sound of machines. The walls around me were white, clean, and unfamiliar. A hospital room.

A dull pain throbbed in my head, and I groaned quietly as the bright ceiling lights stung my eyes.

“Roman?”

Sienna’s voice broke through the fog in my mind, and the door creaked open at the same time. Sienna stood there, her eyes wide with shock, then quickly filling with tears.

She rushed to my bedside, placing her hands on my face, then my shoulders, checking me like she needed to be sure I was real.

“Oh my God… Roman. You’re awake.” She whispered, a tear rolling down her cheek.

I stared up at her as she touched me, her fingers shaking, her eyes full of raw emotion.

Then, it all hit me. Every memory, every single moment we had shared since the first time I set eyes on her nine years ago. The first time our eyes met and something in my chest shifted. Her beautiful sapphire eyes tha

SABRINA“It’s been confirmed, ma’am. Mr. Montgomery is in Detroit with your sister. He’s also regained his memories.”My throat tightened instantly and my hand began to tremble. I clasped it with the other to stop the shaking. I forced a small, polite smile as if the person on the line could somehow see through the phone.“Thank you, Oliver.” I said quietly and ended the call. The moment the phone dropped from my ear, the smile vanished from my face.Tears filled my eyes as a sharp, familiar pain shot through my chest. My heart felt like it cracked right down the middle. I sucked in a shaky breath, but it was no use. The ache had already settled in.Roman had gotten his memories back. And it was because of Sienna.I could already see it in my head—Roman, Sienna, and Livvy. Sitting around a dinner table. Laughing. Planning their future. Reuniting like one perfect, happy family.“Arghhhh!” I screamed, grabbing the small table beside me and shoving it with all my strength. It toppled ove

ETHANAfter a long night of drinking and feeling like crap, I finally dragged myself out of bed the next morning. My head was pounding and my mouth was dry as hell. I needed water. As I headed to the kitchen, I saw Theresa standing at the counter, chopping vegetables. Something was sizzling on the stove, filling the air with a comforting smell.I stopped for a moment at the door, jaw clenched, then walked in without a word. She looked up briefly as I opened the fridge, grabbed a cold bottle of water, and downed it in one go. It barely helped with the hangover, but it was better than nothing.I wiped my mouth and glanced at her.“Why are you still here?” I asked flatly as I sat at the kitchen table. She didn’t even look at me. “Why would I leave?” She replied, voice calm but harsh. “I’d be heartless to walk away while you're still like this. And besides, I’m here because Candice asked me to stay. Not you.”I ran my hand over my aching forehead, leaning my elbows on the table.“Huh.”

  • Chased by my Billionaire Ex-Husband    Finding Roman’s Memories

SIENNATHE NEXT MORNINGOur car came to a halt in front of a church—the church where Kaiden and I got married nine years ago. We had booked babysitting services for Livvy before we left her alone. “So… this is the church where we got married?” Roman’s eyes took in the old building. The structure looked like it hadn’t been in use for years and on the doors was a restriction tape that read; “Private Property. Keep off.”Seemed like the church had been sold off to a private individual. But that did stop me from tearing off the tape and pushing the door open, venturing inside with Roman. A strong feeling of nostalgia hit me as soon we stepped inside the empty, dusty church. The memory of the day we had exchanged our vows played in my mind. That day Roman had professed his love to me before the priest, promising he would treat me like his princess, show me heaven on earth, and treasure me till our dying breath. It was the happiest day in my life. “I will hold your hands through fire,

SIENNADETROIT"Hello, passengers. This is your Captain speaking. We are now beginning our approach to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. The local time here is 5pm. Please ensure your seatbelts are fastened and your tray tables are put away. We anticipate landing shortly.”Shortly after the announcement, the plane we boarded landed and we alighted the plane with Roman holding Livvy in his arms. Before I could pick up my phone to board an Uber, a sleek 2021 Lexus RX 350 parked in front of us. Two men dressed in black alighted from the car, and opened the passenger seats.I frowned in confusion. “Before we boarded the plane, I texted a business partner who is based here in Detroit to have a car ready and a hotel booked for us. Wanted to save you the stress.” Roman explained and I gazed up at him, completely swept off my feet. How thoughtful of him.“Come on.” He took my hand gently into his, squeezing it softly. Livvy was still balanced in his other hand. He offered me that

SIENNAAt the beginning of the car ride, Roman only watched me drive, his question-filled eyes never leaving my face. Behind us in the driver seat, Livvy played with the new toys I had bought for her.“I’ll explain everything to you once we get to our destination.” I broke the thick silence, my eyes on the road. Beside me, Roman scoffed ridiculously.“Coming from someone who kept me in the dark all these while, I doubt you’re gonna tell me a thing.”There was a slight tremor in his voice. I sighed to myself. “I kept trying to tell you, Roman. But you wouldn’t listen…”“You didn’t tell me shit…!” He snapped, his voice rising but he controlled himself immediately, his gaze diverting to Livvy, checking to be sure she wasn’t listening to our little argument. My grip tightened against the steering.Thankfully, she was still engrossed in her toys to pay us any attention. Roman shifted his eyes back to me again, his chin clenched.“You didn’t make any efforts to make me believe you.” He sai
