Serena's POV

I made my way down the hallway and gently pushed the room door open. She was sitting on the edge of the bed, phone pressed to her ear, her brows slightly furrowed.

“Uh-huh. Yes, the delivery should be made before six. No later, please. Thank you," she said to the person over the phone.

I raised an eyebrow, "What was that about?"

She ended the call and looked up at me. “Furniture’s on the way.”

I leaned against the doorframe. “We could have allowed Damien to handle it. Why didn't you ask Damien to help you out?”

“I didn’t want to interrupt the conversations between you guys,” she said, standing and brushing invisible dust from her pants.

I gave her a look. “You could’ve waited.”

Sophia shrugged. “No need. I already got someone. They’ll deliver everything today, couches, beds, center rugs, full setup.”

I stepped inside and sat on the arm of the chair beside her bed. “You’ve paid already?”
