Alexander's POV

I stood there, stunned. Dad’s words rang in my head like a gong. “Serena will spend the rest of her life in jail.”

I stared at him, my mouth agape. “You can’t be serious.” I gasped, barely able to breathe.

He didn’t bat an eye. “I told you, Alexander. Nobody gets out of me when they cross me.”

“You bribed the judge?” I shouted, my body shaking with anger.

“I did what I had to do,” he said, his voice smooth as silk. “You’re my son. You’ll understand this one day.”

I clenched my fists again, feeling the heat of rage rise. “You’re destroying her.”

“She ruined her own life the moment she crossed me,” he snapped. “Now get ready. We’re leaving for court in twenty minutes.”

He walked past me like I didn’t matter. Like Serena didn’t matter.

I stood there, breathing hard, my chest rising and falling fast.

What do I do now? I can’t let him send her to prison.

I rushed to my room, shut the door, and took out my phone.
