Tearing The Town Apart

last update Last Updated: 2021-05-16 00:44:29

...Tyler POV...

I am in Luke's house frantically looking for Jenna; he does not have a basement, and she's in none of the rooms. With every door I open and close, my heart sinks even more, but I am not about to give up; I have to find her; she must be here in this godforsaken town.

That is when I hear a scuffle in the kitchen; with my gun drawn, I slowly make it around the corner.

“What the fuck are you doing here?”

“Hello, Tyler.”

“Yes, Sarah. What the fuck are you doing here?”

“Just visiting an old friend.”

“Do not lie to me.”

“You know me well enough to know I am not lying.”

“Bullshit, you have always been a bad liar.”

“I was passing through, and I thought I would pop in to say hello.”

“You still a bad liar. It's convenient that you appear in town just as my wife disappears.”

“Don't tell me you already lost your wife?”

“Do not get clever with me; where is she?”

“You seem to misplace all the women in your life.”

“Cause you all fucking cheat on me.”

“And that includes Jenna.”

“No, it does not.”

“From what I can remember, she was all over my fiancé.”

“Your fiance is just as fucked up as you.”

“That is no way to talk about your brother.”

“Cut the bullshit; where is Jenna?”

“I really don't know where your god damn wife is. We have been here the whole day.”

“Bullshit, Luke was seen in the town today.”

Then the god damn asshole enters the kitchen with a stupid smirk on his face, “I see you have met my house guest.”

“I don't know if you can really call her a guest.”

“Is there anything I can help you with, Tyler, because you are trespassing in my house?”

“Where is Jenna?”

“Like I have told you and your lapdog there, I don't know.”

“Luke, I am going to find her, and when I do, you are dead.”

“You are not going to find her cause I don't have her.”

“You a real sick fuck.”

“If you finished insulting me, can you please leave my house?”

“I will be back for you, Luke.”

“I am counting on it.”

I really have no choice but to leave, but he did not say I must leave town.

As I head out the front door, I can hear him whisper to Sarah, “I told you to fucking stay hidden.”

“I wanted water since you left me with shit to drink out there.”

They must have Jenna close by if that bitch can walk from there to his house. All I can do now is park my car out of town and come back on foot and start searching the town.

“Tyler.”

“Nathan.”

“Sorry, man, he started to threaten me with my parole officer.”

“No, it's good, man.”

“Did you find anything?”

“Apart from my sister-in-law, not a thing.”

“Your sister-in-law?”

“Yes, the bitch is in Luke's house.”

“What is she doing here?”

“I don't know; it makes no sense.”

“I thought Clara would be involved?”

“No, it does not look like she is.”

“What now?”

“We start searching the town.”

“Fuck it's going to take us forever.”

“I don't care; I need to find my wife.”

…Jenna POV…

Luke has not been back since he tied me up earlier today. I have heard someone shuffling outside, though; it must be Clara.

I hear someone working at the lock, and the door opens.

“What happened to your face?”

“It ran into your husband.”

“Where is he?”

“I told him to leave, but we both know he ain't going to.”

“He will find me, even if he turns the town up and down.”

“That is why we are going to move you.”

“Who are we? Your lapdog Clara?”

Then in steps, the person that he has been speaking to the whole time, “No sweety, I have a lot more brains than that bitch.”

“Sarah, why the fuck are you here?”

“I can't have my revenge with the bitch that slept with my fiancé, but I can have with her husband.”

“Is Alex your fiance?”

“Yes, the very fiance that I kicked out for cheating on me.”

“You both are sick.”

“There is no way Tyler will take your ugly ass.”

“Who says I want to take your husband?”

“Alex won't be so stupid and take you back either.”

Then Luke interrupts, “As much as I like to watch women fight. We have to move you before lover boy comes back.”

“Luke, please stop doing this. This is not who you really are.”

“This is what you have turned me into.”

…Tyler POV…

We leave town and park my truck nearby, making it back by foot. I don't really have the authority to search this town, but I do not care. I need to find my wife, and I will do anything to do that. He used to be my friend, but all I want to do now is flatten his face. I know Jenna meant well to be a friend to him, and it is unfortunate the sexual part of it happened, but it has turned him into a monster. That crazed look is written all over his face; there is no soul behind those deep black eyes.

I need to find her before that crazed animal turns into more than than a monster. I know she is a fighter, but he is far stronger than what her tiny body is.

“Where do we start, Tyler?”

“Let's start at her old place. It is still standing empty.”

We head off to Jenna’s old place on the outskirts of the town. It has no basement, but we have to go through all those rooms. I have never liked this place, but I guess it is my fault that she ran here to get so far away from me.

“I will take it upstairs. You take down.”

We frantically go from room to room, opening every closet that we can. She is not here. I rush outside to the poolhouse. She is not here either.

“And now?”

“We work from inside to out.”

“What do we say to everyone?”

“Fuck I don’t know. Tell them their sheriff is crazy?”

“I doubt they will fall for that.”

“I think I have an idea.”

We start heading back to my truck just as Luke and his new attachment leave town.

“Do we follow them or search the rest of town before he gets back?”

“I don’t know if he would be so stupid to take her with us still in town, Nathan.”

“I’d say we follow him; we can always come back if we don’t find anything.”

When we go past the station, his car is standing there; it seems that he is not going anywhere after all. We get back to my truck, but instead of heading back to town, we head in the other direction.

“Where are we going, Tyler?”

“The sheriff in the next town down this road.”

“What are we going to do there?”

“I can get a search warrant there.”

We back on the road, and I cannot help but feel this overwhelming feeling of dread set over my body. I hope the asshole has not touched or hurt her. I should have never let her out of my sight.

…Jenna POV…

He has just stuck me in the back of his truck, and we off to somewhere else he is going to hide me at. I can hear him talk to Sarah, that is with him

“We will take her away once he is out of town.”

Tyler is still here in town, and he is looking for me.

  • Chasing Broken Dreams   The Countdown Begins

…Tyler POV… The countdown has begun. In as little as eight hours, I will be taken to the theatre. Right now, every bit of this is scary. Yet, the only thing that remains in my mind that is a constant is the fear that I will not see beyond the eighth hour. Everything pays the price…even love. We are paying the price for the bad things in our past, for the bad people we have left behind. I would like to say that my past has come to haunt me, but when you truly reflect, it is Jenna that has left a string of monsters behind. Now in no way am I blaming my wife for what has happened, but I just wish that there was a point where she was more honest. So, there have come uncomfortable silences between us as we sit and count down the minute in slow agony and some anticipation of hope. I will be honest, I went from frightened to despondent, and angry when I heard the word come from the Doctor…blood clot…apparently you get different sizes, and min

  • Chasing Broken Dreams   Life Is Brutally Unfair

As the ambulance gets to the hospital, we find the Doctor is already waiting for us on the steps. But the moment that Tyler sees the wheelchair, he changes his mind. "I will not go in there if you put me in that thing. I can walk!" "Tyler, you are still very weak; please, you won't be able to walk so far." "No, Jenna, I say no wheelchair." I nod to the Doctor that very reluctantly pushes it away. He comes and helps them to help him out of the ambulance. The instant he sees how pale his face is looking, he is immediately concerned. "Let's get you to a bed; I need to do more tests." "No tests!" If I thought that coming to the hospital mean that they can do tests, it seems that I have completely misunderstood the concept of why we are here. "Tyler, please, remember how we said they must see what is wrong?" "Yes?" "Now, please, they need to do tests to see what has changed from the last time we were here."

  • Chasing Broken Dreams   Fighting For Us

  • Chasing Broken Dreams   Breath Of Fresh Air

…Tyler POV…In a strange way, I feel calm, I think, even though I truly don’t think it is the right word to say, but I am relieved that I know now what is wrong. At least we know what we are fighting for. And even though I feel somewhat awful, the dizziness at times seems to be rather unbearing. But I feel as if I have had a breath of fresh air; I know that I can get through this, no matter how bad it gets. But first, I know of a little woman that needs a good spanking, for she has just slapped me on my ass. Before she even knows what I am doing, I throw her over my shoulder and start to carry her out of the kitchen to the bedroom. She kicks and wiggles as best as she can, but I hold her firmly in place."Tyler." She softly whispers. "Put me down.""Sorry, I cannot do that."She squirms, and she moans, "I have two feet. I can walk.""Nah,” I only but chuckle, “I am not letting you get away."I tak

  • Chasing Broken Dreams   Doomed To Fate

Tyler really struggled last night, the headaches and dizziness were beyond what he could bear. I sat with him in my arms the whole night while he was crying in complete agony. Every single second was pure torture for me, once again I cannot help him. Just the way that his body trembled in my arms was enough to render me helpless. I cannot protect the man I love, what type of woman does that make me.After much protest this morning, I brought him out to the creek. It is early morning and the sun is just starting to tickle the horizon. I lead him towards some shaded trees right in the middle of almost nowhere. The smell of sweet flowers that are coming into bloom fills the air. Nearby on a tree branch sits a bird humming a beautiful song welcoming the new day. Everything else almost seems quiet; it's peaceful, it's perfect.I thought I would do something nice for him and make him a picnic out in the fresh cool air. He has been stuck inside for most of the day since we go

  • Chasing Broken Dreams   Fear Of The Unknown

…Jenna POV…I am struck by absolute terror as I leap my way over to where Tyler has fallen back into the chair, “Tyler, what is wrong?”"I don't know, I just got so dizzy, and I fell. Can we please go home? I am really not feeling well.""Don’t you think that we need to see a Doctor? We are here now. It is the second time that you have fainted in two days now.""No, please, can we not just go home?"With that, I hook my arm around his waist and pull his frail body off the chair. His entire body is shaking, and he has gone paler than all fifty shades of white. My heart sinks, and I feel completely helpless; it looks as if he is in total agony, and there is a terrified look in his eyes. And terrified we make our way to the car, not for one minute do I let go. I lay him down on the passenger seat and cover him with my jacket. His body is still trembling, but he tries his best to hide it. God, it breaks my heart.
