JACQUELINE'S POV.

I already took my stance and was ready for a fight. Not without having Rosalie safely kept behind me.

I've steadied her behind me in such a way that if I had to move from my position to another, I would easily do so while moving and keeping her safely behind me again.

It was just a few minutes, and I had everything planned in my head.

Scott came forward and smirked at me, "Do you think I will fear you?" His smirk was not faltering when he spoke. "I know you can't handle the both of us because you are still very weak from the poison. I know you just woke up, for if you were not sleeping or half dead, you wouldn't have allowed me to take the girl without a fight."
