[I just arrived at the store.]

I pressed the send button before shoving my phone inside the bag. As I wrote, I just arrived at my store after dropping off my son at the daycare center. It was Thursday, three days after I returned from New York!

Mind you, but it is New York, so it felt surreal. The city gave me pain, and I even determined not to set foot there again.

But here I was. Safe and felt light from the visit.

"Morning, Judy." I greeted my staff cheerfully, a big smile on my face. I had been in a good mood these days, so I wanted to spread it around.

"Morning, Ruby. You look very happy this morning." J replied as well as made a remark.

However, before I could respond to her, Myrna appeared from the kitchen with a tray full of cookies. "She has a good mood since returning from New York. Something good must have happened there. Right, Ruby?"

I chuckled at the guess. Myrna is indeed the big sister. She knew how to read people.
