Chapter 14

Hearing the sound of the doorbell at this time of night, Elaine knew it was Cannon there, behind the door as no one else visited her this time. But she didn't get herself to answer it. She was still angry at him for showing up at her work place and making her work on his project. She just looked beside her. Ryan was peacefully sleeping snuggling to her.

A sweet smile was lingering on his lips. Smiling back, she kissed on his forehead only to get Ryan showing little dimples on his cheek as his smile broadened which was enough to vanish the smile from Elaine's face.

Elaine tossed on the bed being restless when Ryan did the same turning to other side after a while.

Though she was happy a little earlier with Cassandra for not answering the door, now it got bothering her.

Elaine checked the time. It was 10 minutes past 10. Half an hour passed already but there wasn't a sound of doorbell ringing again.
