Morgana's POV

“Like I said the last time we met, that I was going to look into your foster brother. And I did. You won't believe what I discovered.” Mary Anne said immediately that she was ushered into my office.

My heart was racing in my chest. I don't know what she was about to say, but it was quite scary for her to have an introduction like that as soon as she entered my office.

“What is it?”

“He was in prison for a couple of years. Three years, to be precise. He got out a couple of months ago.” She said.

Well, that can be enough explanation for why he looked tattered and out of his element when I saw him last. The Vince I used to know was always prim and proper. Having things go and happen his way was the norm for him.

“What landed him there?” I asked.

“Assault. He beat up a girl he was dating at that moment and almost raped her because she was not giving him what he wanted.” She said, sorting around some paperwork that she brought out of her briefcase. She passed them to m

NATHAN. I still don’t know how I survived yesterday, and I was dreading what was to come today. Being in the same space with Nora, without being able to touch her or do things to her, made me go crazy; it wasn’t the normal way in my head. If it were in a much more normal circumstance, we would have had sex already just because the pull between us was too strong. Watching her in that skirt that she had on drove me insane, knowing how soft the skin beneath the layers of the dress would be, I had blue balls through out yesterday and it wasn’t my proudest moment, but I had to jerk off to thoughts of her in the shower yesterday night because I couldn’t function properly that way. I could have called another lady, one of the many women that wanted to sleep with me but the thought of another woman in my arms, or me fucking another woman didn’t sound appealing enough and it fucked with me. I was scared. I’ve been feeling this way for the past few days, ever since she showed up three yea

Xavier's POV “We've been able to serve the tabloid that published the first papers. They've been sure as they are under pressure. They should talk in a couple of days if the rope is tightened more around their neck.” Derek said. He looked and felt almost as worried as I am feeling right now. “Thank you,” I said simply, running my hand through my hair. “It's nothing, and also, Mary Anne is always able to get her hands on the information that's needed to get to Vince. And with what she sent to me, I think there is a link between Vince and Simon. They met once in a cafe in town.” That got my attention. “So, he would have actually gone to the point where he is going to hurt the mother of his child just to prove a point? By using an ex-convict?” I said. “You can't trust whatever that guy does. His motive is not clear yet.” “So, Simon is the other link that I've been trying to put together all this while,” I said. “What if it's not him? There might be another person. This is getting

Morgana's POV “Morgana. Morgana.” He called after me as I walked into the house. I increased the way I was walking, not wanting him to catch up with me. “Babe, stop.” He said in a hard voice, and I stopped. “Don't call me that. You did not think of me in that manner for the past weeks. And also, you have decided for yourself to keep things away from me. Things that I am meant to know about. Why? You think that low of me?” I said to him, wanting to use the word he used to say to me against him. “Don't say that. I didn't mean it that way, and you know it. Stop trying to blow this out of proportion. It does not make any sense that you're doing this.” He said. “So, now, I don't make sense to you? Interesting. For your information, I will be leaving the house. And I'm serious about it this time. You won't be stopping me. I'm leaving with Noah.” I said. To be very honest, I did not think about what I said. I just said the first thing that came to my mind. I thought about it the o

Morgana's POV A few minutes later, after she had left the office, I was deep in my work when Sasha burst into my office with panic on her face, and she looked as if she had run a long distance, breathing heavily. “What is it? Are you okay?” I asked her about it. She nodded and shook her head at the same time. “We have a problem, ma. A very big problem.” She said she sounded almost scared, which made me consider what might be going on. “Humm…what's going on?” I asked her again. She did not reply to me, and the next thing she did was to pick up the TV remote on the table in the middle of the room to switch it on. “Why are ….” I was cut short when I saw what was on the TV. It was a news channel that had the face of me and my husband plastered there, and also my son. “We received from an anonymous source a couple of minutes ago that the couple of Hills corporation, Xavier and Morgana Hills, who came out a few months ago as married, are actually siblings. The news says that they k

Morgana's POV Our living conditions are toxic, to be honest. Maybe I'll just leave the house and move to an apartment. But I'm sure Xav will ask me questions about why that is happening. I don't want to make him unhappy or sad. So, I'll just suck it up and make things work out. Since the night I went clubbing with Mary Anne, he's been cold. And that was not how I remembered him from my hazy memories. He sounded really good to me when I came back from the whole thing and found myself in his car. He even carried me inside and stayed with me on the bed instead of sleeping on the couch. I used the opportunity then to hold on to him throughout the time he was with me. I didn't get to sleep then because I thought it was a rare moment, and I don't know when we will be having it again. When morning came and I woke up, I didn't see him again around me. It was like he was avoiding it. He does not even stay around the house anymore. And his poise is telling me that he's hiding something seri

  • Chasing My Run Away Wife After Regret.    Chapter Forty Seven.

Xavier's POV My blood boiled as I carried Morgana out of the club. I wanted to go back into the bathroom and beat the crap out of the person that wanted to hurt her. Maybe I'll do just that. I carried her into the car and went back into the club's bathroom. And thankfully, I met the guy still writhing on the ground like the worm he was. Without wasting any time, I pulled him up and smashed him into the wall. “Who made you do this?” I sneered into his face. It was obvious that she was drugged out of her mind. She was not drinking too much for her to be that out of it. I looked at her most of the evening without taking my eyes off her. “M…let me go. No one made me do anything. I don't know what you're talking about.” He managed to get out. I pressed my hand down around his neck in a tight grip, making sure that it would not be easy for him to breathe through the choke. “W…wait….I'll..tell you.” He muffled out so I released him a quarter to allow him to talk. “Talk

Morgana's POV “I found out that my husband is my brother,” I said simply. She did not say anything. It was as if silence fell. I've got the whole club, which I was sure was not it. I peeked my eye up to look at her. She was looking at me like I had two heads, and I understood. “Oh….okay,” she laughed. “Brother, like he acts like your brother? Or maybe he looks after you like a brother would?” She said, and I almost laughed. I was about to reply when she said, “Wait, last I heard, your real brother was a douchebag no?” She asked, genuinely surprised. “Yup. He is. But I'm not talking about him right now. I'm saying Xavier, my husband, might be my actual elder brother. From the same parents.” “What the fuck? That's definitely not possible. Right?” She exasperated. She looked at me as if to confirm what she just said, but I had nothing to say to her. “That's what we heard a couple of days back. With DNA evidence to back it up.” “That's bullshit.” She hissed, all hint of tipsiness

Morgana's POV “Come on, drink uppppp.” Mary Anne’s voice rose over the loud music in the club. Yeah. She brought me to a club. After the I dropped the call from her from earlier, she brought the idea that I should come over to her house to dress up. I didn't want to agree before, but as usual, she made me say yes. She made me go over to her place after she sent me an address. She had a very wonderful and beautiful house. It was so good being in another space after what is going on right now. I don't know how I've not told her about the whole issue, but I think that's for the best. I don't want to be the one to ruin her mood when she is celebrating. She dressed me up like I was not a twenty-eight-year-old lady. I felt like I was eighteen the way she dressed me up in a short dress and very tall heels. She did my makeup and did my hair. She did not allow me to have a say in the whole thing. And I just left her alone to do her thing. When she was done, I agreed with myself that I ac
