~ DAISY'S POV ~

The bright light from the screen now seems to burn my eyes, my hands shaking so much that the phone almost slips from my wet palms.

I cannot listen to her fake words anymore, much more her lying face for one more second.

I pause the video in anger and scroll through the comment section, my thumb hitting the screen with a harsh tap. I drag my finger up, bringing up the thousand of messages left by the viewers below the clip.

My gaze flickers around, seeing so many people support

  • Five Years Too Late, Ex-husband!   Proof For My Innocence

~ DAISY'S POV ~I notice something flash in Damien’s eyes. It is a quick one but I see it.Though he nods at my request, the look he has on his face is strange. If I should guess what kind of look is that, to me, it's a look that says, that is the right thing to do.You have to confront him or you lose and you can't lose because I will be the one to suffer the consequences.Anyways, I ignore that as I have nothing to say about it, besides I am not sure if I'm right or not.He looks at me, nods his head once and presses his foot down on the pedal. The engine roars and we drive straight to Sebastian's apartment. While Damien drives, I just stare out the window as the surroundings and the buildings, even the streets we pass by all look familiar.I hate this, I hate to be reminded of my past but I have no choice. Even my mind is focused on only one thing which is the waitress. My hands are clenching so tightly in my lap that my nails are biting into my skin. None of us say anything to eac

  • Five Years Too Late, Ex-husband!   Take Me To Sebastian!

~ DAISY'S POV ~I rest my back against the cold, brick wall of the apartment building with my arms wrapped tightly around myself to ward off the chill of the evening.Across the narrow space of the passage, Damien is talking to an elderly woman who poked her head out of a nearby door and the same old woman who told us that the waitress has been long gone.I can't hear what they are saying but the way Damien adjusts his posture countless times like he is uncomfortable with the words he is hearing, only makes my stomach twist into knots. With every passing second, I feel like I can't breathe well as the air seems to be sucked out of my lungs. Why is that? My reputation is in pieces, my contracts are vanishing and the only person who can prove my innocence has just been snatched away by whoever it was.I glance at my reflection in a darkened window and I hate how I look. I look haggard, my eyes rimmed with exhaustion and the fear that Vanessa has finally won.Damien turns back toward me

  • Five Years Too Late, Ex-husband!   The Truth Is Gone?

~ SEBASTIAN'S POV ~I hold the pen tight, but inside me, my blood is starting to boil. I watch her face and wait for her to agree to my terms. But no, she does not. She pulls her chin up and tries to look brave, but I can see her chin shaking.“I… I don't know what you are talking about,” she stammers, her voice getting louder and shriller. “You can't do this to me. You can't just lock me up here. I am a free person and I demand you release me right now. Let me go.”The lie hits my ears like a slap, snapping something inside me. The tiny bit of patience I have left completely vanishes and my fingers balls into a tight, hard fist. The skin across my knuckles stretches so hard it hurts but I do not wait. I step right into her space, my shoes slamming against the floor and I lean down until my face is just inches from hers.“Shut up!” I roar. The sound echoes off the high walls like a thunderclap, causing the waitress to shriek, throwing her hands up to cover her head. She shrinks down

  • Five Years Too Late, Ex-husband!   Evidence.

~ SEBASTIAN'S POV ~The fog in my brain is heavy at first as I blink my eyes, my head throbbing just a little then. Then, it hits me. The memory of last night rushes back and warmth floods my chest. A slow, wide smile spreads across my face that I cannot help it.Last night was real. It was really real. Daisy was in my arms, her skin touched mine and I felt her breath on my skin. Even the way she whispered my name… it all replays in my mind like the most beautiful song. For the first time in years, I feel a pure burst of happiness. I mean I am alive and we are finally together again.Only for me to turn over on the mattress, reaching out to her, as my hand slid across the sheets, expecting to find her warm, soft body but I found nothing. My fingers meet the cold bedsheet. I opened my eyes fully, the smile freezing on my lips before it finally faded away. Daisy was no longer on the bed.“Daisy?” I had called out, my voice sounding rough, still thick with sleep, but no response came.

  • Five Years Too Late, Ex-husband!   A Glimpse Of Hope?

~ DAISY'S POV ~My phone keeps pinging with lots of notifications and messages from my brands and partners calling to break their contracts.Even after the text Damien sent to me some minutes ago, I still do not smile because I wonder what evidence he has. Now, the big jewelry brand that signed me last month sends a long email, saying they do not want my face on their billboard anymore. The makeup company cancel the deal I have with them immediately without asking for my explanation. Even the fashion house sends an email to say I am no longer their brand ambassador. One by one, almost every single company pulls away from me like I am a dangerous disease. They do not care about the truth as they only see the lies Vanessa and the director told on the television. The life I have built carefully these past years is on the verge of collapsing to the ground, and all that was because of Vanessa yet again. Everything is really falling apart. The money, the respect and the safe home I want fo

Daisy is just a cheap homewrecker and a slut. Drop her from the movie. Boycott her!"“I hope she loses everything,” another user posted. “She should go to jail for what she did to that married director and
