The king's question caught me off guard. I immediately turned my head to look at him to deny the fact.

However, when I turned my face, my nose brushed against his. For a brief moment, I found myself out of breath. The tip of his nose was cold, giving me goosebumps.

I looked into his eyes with my wide eyes.

The pair of dark eyes were mysterious. It was as if there were so many secrets hidden inside. It could be pleasant or painful, shocking or regrettable.

I did not know how long I could keep looking at them, but I could not take my gaze away.

I was dumbfounded. A new way? When did I use a technique to get close to him? Everything was just a coincidence between us.
