Chapter 19: Chaos

Clarissa's P.O.V.

Anger. Remorse. Disgust.

That was what I felt. Utter chaos was the world I was creating.

The council had come and gone, and even though a week had passed, it didn't matter.

The calls and letters coming in said it all. People were calling for my removal. I was sure that Diana was the cause for a lot of the drama circulating me.

Diana, Antonio's ex-wife, seemed to thrive for attention. It was clear to anyone that all she cared about was being powerful, and she didn't like the fact that Antonio had moved on and she was no longer the center of attention.

I had reclused to my room and the library for the last few days, and Antonio gave me my space. Initially, he was angry that I was rejecting his advances. I knew that he wanted to complete the mate bond, and so did I, but I didn't want to bring something that was supposed to be amazing into a horrible situation.

How was I supposed to be happy and carefree when so many people saw me as a disgrace to the supernatural world?
