Vivi groaned loudly, cradling her head with her hands, after Mr. Morris left. Leo and Selene glanced at each other, wondering what to do next, when she suddenly sat up and looked in their direction.
“Can someone please explain to me what just happened?” she demanded.
Selene immediately bowed her head. “It’s my fault, Boss. I couldn’t leave Mr. Adams hanging in front of that awful woman so I ended up suggesting you as his girlfriend without thinking.”
Vivi turned to Leo and glared. “And you,” she said. “I expected more from you. What the hell were you thinking?”
“Kitty isn’t the type to give up easily,” he reasoned out. “I needed to give her a reason to give up.”
