Hundred and Fifty Five

After dinner with the family, Hailey and I left the premises. The drive back home was quiet as we were both consumed by our thoughts, simultaneously enjoying the comfortable silence that reigned between us.

But despite being filled with thoughts about Xavier's intention to propose to Temmy, I couldn't help but wonder what was going through her mind

Soon we got home and even after unwinding for the night, neither of us was yet to say a word. It made me worry. Perhaps, had mother said something she wasn't supposed to say?

We laid in bed and I sneaked a glance at Hailey. From her facial expression, I couldn't deduce the problem so I decided to take the bull by the horn and ask, "You good?" I tried my best to sound as casual as possible, whilst resting my head on my plopped elbow.

"Yeah, I'm fine," She replied, and honestly, it didn't look like she was lying. It wasn't like she was trying to hide her emotions.
