Ava
I woke up, curled up by the window. How did I end up there? But then I remembered the men from the night and the shuffles. Nothing else happened, and I waited until I fell asleep. There was a knock on the door, and I rushed to it. “Still sleeping?”The beta peered into my face. “No…” I lied. “Good, come with me.” ‘Where are we going?’My curiosity was eating away at me. I followed the beta down a dark corridor in hopes of finding answers. We passed through several doors before stopping in front of one. “Make yourself useful. It's the King's order, not mine.” The beta opened the door and held the handle out for me.“Please go inside and wait.”He walked away before I could ask him more questions. The door slammed shut after he left. I walked around for a little bit, but couldn't stand waiting around any longer, so I sat down. “You must be Ava…” A voice said behind me, and I turned to see an old man. “Come with me.” He led me out, and I heard neighs from horses as we went along.“Don't worry, they won't hurt you or try to eat you. You just have to help clean up their space.” I wasn't the only one there, the maids were staring at me with curiosity. “My part here is done; they will guide you.” He smiled politely as he left, and I realized I had no choice but to start working. “It is her, isn't it?” A voice whispered to the other while they both stared at me. “It is, don't know how though, I've seen her work in the kitchen and she doesn't look like that type.” “Maybe werewolves never look like type.” They started giggling, but the sound stopped when I caught them, they scurried back to work as fast as their legs could carry them.I looked back at the door and saw nobody. I felt uneasy, something wasn't right.I started walking around again, trying to figure out why I suddenly felt nervous. “Are you just going to stand there and watch us?” I remember her. She was the lady from the kitchen who had told me there was no talking allowed there. “Or do you think you are better than us because you might be fated to his Majesty?” She sneered. She looked younger than I thought, she stood there with her hands on her hips glaring at me. Her brown hair fell into her eyes and she shoved it away irritably.I didn't know what to answer. “I haven't thought of myself as better than anyone,” I finally answered. She looked surprised for a second, then snorted at me. “Well, at least you aren't denying about being destined to His Majesty.” She turned and focused on her work. What was it with Lycans and werewolves? Were we not similar to ourselves than we pretended not to be? So why the constant hate? Why the jealousy and distrust towards each other? What was it all about? It was only later in the day that I was allowed to return to my room. I was drained and exhausted, bathing didn't help either. The king sent for me later in the evening. My stomach knotted up as I entered, wondering what would happen. “Sit here” I compiled without hesitation. “How are you liking your new home, Ava?” I was taken aback. Was I here for small talks? I gave an honest answer, “It seems very different from what I was used to at home.” He didn't say a word, he only kept sipping tea. He didn't look happy. In fact, he looked angry. “Sir?”I broke the silence first, unsure if this was even possible. He raised his head slightly but kept his expression neutral. “Is there anything...you wanted to talk to me about, Your Majesty?” I asked hesitantly.“Do you believe I have been doing this for the wrong reasons?” He asked. I shrugged my shoulders. Did I believe in fate or destiny? I honestly didn't know anymore. But then, maybe I was simply afraid of what the answer might be. “I'm not sure,” I admitted. “That doesn't seem like much of an answer” He said. His tone made it clear how little faith he had in my words. Was this how Royalg people talked? I kept my mouth shut, unable to say anything. “You are here because my mother wants to speak to you,” He stated bluntly. “Your mother?” I repeated as if I was deaf. “She wishes to meet you herself,” He clarified. “Now stop asking silly questions.” He left, and I wondered why he was telling me all this in the first place. Soon his mother came in, and I stood up immediately. Everything about her scared me, from her red lips to her piercing blue eyes. “Queen mother,” I bowed. “Why are you still here?” She snapped. I flinched back. “I am honored to serve, Queen Mother,” I replied stiffly. Her smile disappeared, and she glared at me.“I don't want you here. I don't like you. I have a feeling that you are cursed, and I don't want you to bring that curse down on my family.”I felt my body freeze up, and my eyes filled with tears. “I'm sorry,” I whimpered, lowering my head once again. “I'm sorry.” Instead, she ordered a maid who brought in a wooden box. When the maid left, she opened it. It was filled with gold coins, over a thousand pieces. “Take these, they should be enough to last you for years or more.” Her voice sounded harsh and mean. “But..why?” I got the words out, my throat tightening painfully, my eyes blurring with unshed tears. “Because this is the price for leaving my son. Take it, and I will help you escape. I know a secret passage. ” She added. “If I ever catch you here again, I'll kill you, understand?” I stared at her to see if she was joking but her eyes were deadly serious, fear gripped me.Ava“I… I can't Queen mother” I forced out. “My life is tied to your son. If I leave, he said he'll find me and kill me , too.She laughed coldly. “Oh, you really believe he would do that, My son doesn't care for anything except himself, he would be even less bothered if you are here or not ” Her laugh died down. “Just take them. Don't waste time arguing, get out of my sight!”She commanded. What if this was a trap and what if I fell miserably for it? I wasn't sure, but I knew I could never be caught doing something like this.“I can't queen mother, please” “What did you just say?” her tone changed completely. There was a dark aura around her now. She glared at me as her face grew closer, and I involuntarily backed away. Her face twisted into a vicious expression as I took a step backwards until my back hit the wall.I trembled, terrified as I gazed deep into her eyes which were burning with rage.“You dare to defy me?” She growled.“Queen mother…” I didn't get a chance to complete my

Ava“I have an offer for you,” he paused, eyeing my expression. “How much can you give to earn your freedom? How far will you go?” I swallowed and thought for a moment. I was skeptical about this question. Was it a trap?“Be honest with me. You don't want to be here, correct?” I hesitated but managed a tiny nod, which did not seem to satisfy him.“I will need you to use your mouth,” he said. “If you don't speak, I won't know how much to believe from you. So, please tell me honestly. Do you want to be here?” His voice was intimidating, and I had the sense to look away. His gaze was cold and unwavering, and I didn't dare to answer him directly.“No, I don't,” I mumbled.“Good.” He said, letting go of me with his eyes that once held me in place. “I can give you your freedom.” “Really!?” My eyes widened in surprise, and I shot up out of my chair, eagerness evident.“Yes. Now sit,” he ordered, pointing towards the seat beside me.I obeyed, sitting back down and watching him expectan
Ava“Clean up. They'll bring you something to eat, and if he sends for you, try not to annoy him. His patience is thin as it is. It's only a matter of time before things fall apart.” The Beta said as he handed me fresh clothes. The room was a sterile white with a bed on one side of the room. There was a small desk by the wall opposite the bed ,small closet, the door that lead out into what I assumed was a bathroom and a fireplace. “Thank you, sir.” I nodded at his retreating back before looking around at my surroundings. When he was gone, I contemplated whether to lock the door or not. The thoughts of the king bursting through it like he did the last time sent shivers.I left the door unlocked and went into the bathroom , closing the door after myself. I looked in the mirror, but all I saw was a tired strange girl . My eyes were dark circles, my hair was dishevelled, my clothes, I gasped at how little they hid. I sighed and ran a hand through my messy curls. It took me a while but s
LeonThe last thing I expected when I threw that banquet was for Dean to choose her.It disturbed me greatly. It wasn't because I cared if he chose her or not, but it was my beast could not stand the thought of another man being with her. After Silas took the girl out of the room, I stared at Alpha Dean’s unconscious body for a while before lifting him and placing him on the bed.“To the beta to come, once his done with the task,” I ordered one of my guards.“Yes, sir.” Ten minutes later, Beta Silas was back.“Did you keep her hidden?” I asked as soon as he closed the door behind him.He nodded. “She hasn't stopped crying.”“We are not here to babysit her. Strip Alpha Dean,” I ordered.Beta Silas did as he was told without complaint. When he finished, I looked over Dean's body. “You will get one of the slave girls, someone with similar body features and hair like that girl. She will please him, not something serious, maybe a blowjob, enough to traces of pre ejaculation or semen. W
AvaWe were. lead into what seemed like a banquet hall, with people dressed in various styles filling it up to the rafters. It was dark outside as far as I could see, but the room was decorated with lights that flickered and buzzed from the inside out. The king was seated on his throne and his guests began to cheer him when we walked in.I wanted to be somewhere else, anywhere else. I didn't even mind being under Aunt Portia’s roof and receiving punishment, anywhere but here. When the king rose up, the cheering died down to whispers of awe and respect. He looked at us for a moment and then said in a voice like thunder, “I decided to throw this feast to celebrate the Alpha of the neighboring pack, Alpha Dean, who recently won a battle against the crystal pack. Before we go on with the feast, I'd like him to pick any slave girl of his choice” The King motioned to the blonde haired man who moved forward, looking at each girl as if we were commodities. When he stopped in front of me, s
AvaThe last thing I remembered before I woke up was the silver blade that penetrated my skin after the crash with the carriage.I remember the speed of its effect against my body and how easily it was for me to succumb to darkness but what I couldn't understand was how I was still awake in this unfamiliar room.Where was I? Where was the man who had taken me away from home? I stared at the door, an escape plan immediately forming in my head, but the door slammed open, causing me to jump up in fear.“Good morning, Sir,” I greeted him, the same man I had just thought about. I avoided his gaze as the floor seemed like the most interesting thing in this strange place. “Who are you?” He roared at me. His voice reeked of accusations.“My name is Ava…” My voice sounded too strained.“I don't give a damn about your name, what are you?” He demanded. I flinched at his coldness, not being able to look at him without feeling conscious.“I am a werewolf.”There was a fast moment of silence as
LeonIt had been five years since I lost the love of my life, my Luna, wife and mate. To everyone else, it was just one of those deaths, but to me, it was the end of my world. For five long years, it had been a never-ending torment. No pain I experienced was as horrible as that of that day. I lost myself.Sometimes it felt like I was in a stranger's body watching everything from the outside. It didn’t matter how much time went by, I knew no time would pass quickly enough for my heart to heal from her loss. Now the moon goddess mocked me. She had me fated to that puny girl I had picked as collateral damage. Of all women, she chose the weakest and most cowardly one.“She is a witch or probably cursed, whatever happened is not normal” My mother, the queen mother said to me.“I don't give a damn about who she is mother, I don't even want her. Now go and get some rest, you must be tired,” I replied with cold indifference. “I want to know everything” The queen mother said firmly.
Ava“I want her.” He pointed at me, and I froze. My eyes were wide open, and I had a very bad feeling about this whole situation. “Now,” he snarled.I could hear the gasps from Aunt Portia’s guests. This all seemed like a play, and I knew they would be entertained enough to use it as gossip the next day.I turned to Aunt Portia with pleading eyes, but she had a blank expression on her face, and then I turned to Avery. Avery’s face had fear in it before it also went blank.“Your majesty, does it mean that if you have her, my family and I no longer have to worry about the debt?” Aunt Portia asked with faux calm. The way she said it sounded as if she wasn't actually asking anything of him, she sounded almost relieved.“Yes, unless you have the money now,” He snapped back. “I don't, you can have her.” She smiled politely, like she was agreeing with him. All eyes fell on me. I was sure I had misheard, yet I fell on my knees immediately.“Please, Aunt Portia, please don't send me away
