Se connecterChapter 3
Hannah opened her bleary eyes. Staring at the surroundings, wondering where she was.
“Hannah you are awake” she heard a voice. That voice. It sounded so familiar. It was the voice that had asked her to stay with her.
“Where am I?” Hannah asked as her vision was already becoming clearer.
“You are in the hospital. How are you feeling?” The woman asked and then Hannah turned to her. It was a beautiful woman with long, lush hair.
She had blue eyes and her skin was so white. She looked like a rich woman, Of Course, she was. Hannah could see she was a rich woman even from the way she speaks and act. As she stared at the woman a sense of familiarity washed through her.
“How are you feeling?” The woman asked with a smile on her face and Hannah stared at her weirdly wondering who she was and why she was being so caring. She knew she had brought her to the hospital, but why?.
She didn’t even know this woman but she had saved her life and brought her to the hospital. It was so weird.
“I’ll go tell the doctor that you are awake,” The woman said and was about to leave when Hannah finally spoke.
“Who are you and what do you want from me?” Hannah asked curiously. She had been through a lot just within these few days and then a stranger came from nowhere caring for her.
The woman turned to her and then smiled at Hannah. “My name is Arianna MacKenzie. I was on my way home when I saw the crowd and asked my men to take a look and they told me a female was lying unconscious. I had come to check myself and then I brought you to the hospital ” Arianna said and Hannah stared at her without saying a word.
She wasn’t ready to believe any lie from anybody. Who knows if her husband or mother-in-law had sent this woman to kill her, she wasn’t going to believe anything she said.
If her husband she trusted so much could betray her if her best friend could betray her, who is this stranger not to?
“I know you must be thinking I’m lying or probably thinking your mother-in-law sent me or your ex-husband..” Arianna paused as Hannah gave her a weird look. Did she read my mind? she thought.
“How did you know about my husband and mother-in-law?” Hannah asked
“After I brought you to the hospital, I did some digging and then found everything. I know what they did to you Hannah, they’ve betrayed you and hurt you, but I am here to help you. I just hope you accept my help” Arianna said
“And why would I accept your help? Who knows if you are like them, monsters!!!” Hannah yelled as tears gathered in her eyes.
The memories of her seeing her husband and a best friend kept replaying in her head and she felt like she was going crazy. All she wanted to do was go back to that scene and kill her best friend and husband and mostly her husband.
He had deceived her, made her believe he loved her so much but he never did. He used her and because of him and his mother, she had gotten raped.
She would surely make them pay for what they did to her. One way or another she would make them pay.
“I understand how you are feeling now! You must want revenge, I'm willing to help you get it if you want, only if you accept and let me help you” Arianna said and Hannah stared at her for a few seconds.
This woman was good at reading minds.
“You want to help me take them down?” Hannah asked and Arianna nodded in response.
“And why would you do that? Do you have anything against the Mikelson family?” Hannah asked curiously and Arianna sighed softly.
“Yes I do, they hurt me in the past,” Arianna said.
“And you want to use me to get your revenge?” Hannah asked
“No, no. I do not want to use you to get revenge on any course. You deserve to get justice for what they did, if we do not bring them down, they are just going to continue hurting people as they wish” Arianna said and Hannah stared at her for some seconds then looked away, staring at the ceiling as she was in deep thought thinking if she should accept the woman’s offer.
If there was one thing she had noticed about the Mikelson family, they love hurting people and stepping on people because of their rank in society. Especially her mother-in-law, Rosa.
She thought Jeff was different from them, she didn't know he was just a deceiver too who pretended to love her and now he hurt her deeply. She needed to make them pay for everything.
“It's alright if you do not want to accept my offer. I'll give you enough time to think about it and.........”
“I accept,” Hannah said and Mrs. Arianna stared at her surprised.
“Really?” Arianna yelled happily and Hannah nodded in response.
“Oh my Goodness! I'm so sorry, I'm just happy you accepted my offer” Arianna said and Hannah managed to smile.
Just then Arianna clapped her hands and two women in suits came in, holding some documents in their hands.
“Hannah, meet my lawyers,” Arianna said smiling
“Hello, I'm Mary Chase and this is my assistant, Chloe Danvers,” the lawyer said and brought forth her hands for a handshake, which Hannah politely took.
“I know you must be wondering why my lawyers are here. Well, Mary, could you please brief her” Arianna said and Mary nodded.
She brought out a paper and gave it to Hannah.
“Mrs. Hannah, this is a document that contains a change of identity. You're gonna be changing your name, date of birth, and everything and you're gonna get half of Mrs. Arianna’s property after you sign the document “ The lawyer said and Hannah turned to Mrs. Arianna.
“And changing my name to yours will mean only one thing, that I'm going to be your adopted daughter,” Hannah said and Arianna nodded. She was also going to be rich too.
She wasn't going to let any of these opportunities pass by. She didn't care about her identity or anything, all she wanted was to get revenge on the people who had ruined her life.
She took a pen that was with the lawyers and signed all the documents without even reading them.
“Congratulations Hannah Rodriguez, your new name is now Cinderella Mackenzie. Welcome to the world of wealth and riches”

Brandon slowly let out the breath he hadn’t realized he was holding. “When I woke up…” he continued quietly, “…I had no idea where I was.” “I couldn’t remember my own name.” “I couldn’t remember any of you.” “I couldn’t even remember why my body was covered in bruises.” He smiled bitterly. “I was just… a man with no past.” Hannah lowered her head, tears rolling silently down her cheeks. Brandon gently wiped them away before continuing. “A kind elderly couple found me lying near the river after the crash. They took me to a small clinic nearby.” “The doctor told them I had suffered a serious head injury.” “They asked me who I was.” “I couldn’t answer.” “They asked if I had any family.” “I couldn’t answer that either.” “I had forgotten everything.” Jessica wiped her own tears. “So… how did you finally come home?” Brandon smiled softly. “I later found out that after the crash, Alfred managed to escape with a few of his men.” “He was still trying t
No one around the table spoke. Not even a sound. The only thing anyone could hear was the ticking of the clock hanging on the dining room wall. Brandon looked down at his hands before continuing. “Alfred wasn’t like his father.” “He wasn’t interested in making deals.” “He wasn’t interested in becoming rich.” “He already had more money than he could spend.” “He wanted one thing.” “Revenge.” Lucas clenched his jaw. “He blamed me for Bernardo’s death.” “He blamed Teresa.” “He blamed every single one of us.” “He believed if the Colbys had never fought back… his father would still be alive.” Brandon sighed. “He kept me locked inside that warehouse for days.” “I honestly lost count.” “There were no windows.” “No sunlight.” “I couldn’t even tell if it was day or night.” “They only opened the door when they brought me food…” “…or when Alfred came.” Hannah’s eyes slowly filled with tears again. “What did he do to you?” she asked softly. Brand
“It’s a long story.” Hannah gently squeezes his hand. “I want to hear it.” Brandon brushes his thumb across her cheek. “You will.” He glances toward the house again. “But not now.” She looks at him in confusion. He smiles. “Let’s wait until tonight.” “Everyone deserves to know what happened.” ⸻ That evening… The Colby mansion, which had been filled with laughter only hours earlier, had grown quiet. After spending the entire afternoon playing in the garden with Brandon, the octuplets had completely exhausted themselves. They had refused to leave his side, clinging to him as though they were afraid he would disappear again the moment they looked away. By the time dinner ended, every one of them had fallen asleep. Alex and the maids carefully carried the sleeping children upstairs one after another, tucking them into bed. Only after the last bedroom door closed did silence settle over the mansion once again. Downstairs, the dining room remained brigh
Brandon stared at their joined hands. His breathing became shallow. The warmth of Hannah’s hand against his felt so familiar that it terrified him. He squeezed her hand unconsciously. And then— Everything exploded inside his mind. Not scattered flashes. Not broken pieces. Everything. … The first day he met Hannah. The way he had looked into her eyes and asked her to marry him almost immediately. Her shocked expression. “Are you crazy? We just met.” His own stubborn smile. “I know.” “But marry me.” … The contract marriage. The day she finally agreed. The way his hands had secretly trembled as she signed the papers while he pretended to remain calm. … The first night they moved into the mansion. She had insisted on sleeping in another room. “No.” He had folded his arms. “We’re pretending to be husband and wife.” “If people find out we’re sleeping separately, the whole plan falls apart.” She had glared at him. “You planned this.
Brandon’s body trembled. His arms tightened instinctively around the children. He didn’t even realize he was holding them so tightly until one of the boys laughed. “Daddy… you’re squeezing us.” The words snapped him back for only a second. “I’m sorry…” he whispered automatically. Then another memory hit him. Not a flash. Not a blur. A complete moment. He was sitting on the floor of the playroom. Eight tiny toddlers were climbing all over him. One sat on his shoulders. Another was tugging at his tie. One little girl kept insisting she was a princess while another demanded he become the dragon. He remembered pretending to roar. He remembered Hannah standing at the doorway, laughing so hard she almost dropped the tray of snacks she was carrying. “You’ve created eight little troublemakers.” “They’re your children,” Hannah had teased. “You spoiled them.” “I did not.” “You absolutely did.” “I prefer the term… well-trained.” She had rolled her
For a long moment, no one spoke. The silence was so heavy that even the children stopped breathing. Isabella’s face slowly drained of color. “No…” she whispered, forcing a laugh that sounded hollow. “That’s impossible. Brandon, you’re only saying that because they’ve been filling your head with stories.” She grabbed his hand again. “Look at me.” “You love me.” “You’ve always loved me.” Brandon looked down at the hand holding his. He frowned. He didn’t pull away immediately. Instead, he studied her face carefully. He wanted to feel something. Anything. Comfort. Warmth. Familiarity. But… Nothing. It felt… Empty. Like he was looking at someone he was supposed to know but didn’t. Slowly, he withdrew his hand from hers. The movement wasn’t violent. It was gentle. Almost absentminded. But to Isabella… It felt like the ground had disappeared beneath her feet. She stared at her now empty hand in disbelief. “Brandon…” He didn’t answ
Chapter 193Brandon suddenly interrupted her speech with a kiss.Hannah was surprised at the kiss as she didn’t expect him. She placed her hands on his chest and tried pushing him away but he was just too strong. She stopped struggling, she felt a strange feeling and a spark running through her veins
Meanwhile, Wilson is seen in his hotel roomWaiting for Stone to call him that the job has been done, that Sandra is dead and he has the octuplets.Just then he heard a knock on his door.“Come in,” he said and Stone walked in with John and Steven.“Jefe (Boss)” they all echoed at once and with a sad an
“I have your family with me right now,” Brandon said as he put the phone on loudspeaker so Emilia could hear every one of their conversations…“You are bluffing,” Wilson said and Brandon chuckled “Maybe you would love to hear the sound of your beautiful wife,” Brandon said and passed the phone to Emi
“I just have this feeling that something bad is about to happen,” Hannah said and Arianna smiled. “I know you do not love parties, but it’s just a one-day thing and it’s gone. You would be opportuned to meet a lot of businessmen and women” Arianna said as she touched Hannah’s shoulders and she nodde
