ALPHA CONAN

“She should not be punished,” one of the warriors spoke up from the crowd, his voice firm and steady. “She was attacked after the fight was called to an end. Anyone here saw it. Cassy lunged at her after the match, and Gwen reacted. She should not be punished for defending herself.”

There were murmurs of agreement, voices overlapping as others nodded. Yet just as quickly, a harsher voice broke through.

“But she killed her,” another man shouted from the back. “No matter the reason, she took a life. That is against our rules. She should face punishment. No one is above the law, not even her.”

The crowd began to murmur again, murmurs turning into whispers and whispers threatening to turn into arguments. My eyes scanned the room carefully, taking in the fear and confusion written across some faces . Some of them avoided my gaze, but others met it boldly, their fear mixed with defiance.

“It was not just that,” a woman said suddenly, her voice shaky. “We all saw it. Her eyes

GWENThe day finally came for us to leave for Crescent Moon Pack. I had been restless all night, but when I woke up, there was a strange calmness in me because I knew that whatever waited for me there was necessary. I stood in front of the small mirror in my room and placed a hand over my stomach. I was now officially one month pregnant. If you looked closely enough, there was a very small pudge-like bump forming, and though it was barely noticeable, it filled me with a joy I could not explain. My child was real, growing inside me, and no matter what anyone said about me or what had happened, this baby gave me strength.Raya had already woken up before me and was fussing around with the last of the packing. She moved quickly, folding clothes and securing them in the travel bags with neat hands. She kept talking as she packed, reminding me to keep calm during the long journey and not to worry about anything.“Gwen, remember, it will be about eight hours on the road. It sounds long, bu

GWENI woke up to the sound of my own voice screaming. My chest was heaving, my throat was dry, and I was drenched in sweat. My body trembled as I tried to push myself up, but the room was spinning and a heavy weight sat on my chest as though I could not breathe. I rubbed my face with my shaky hands and then felt the tears running down my cheeks. My heart thumped painfully in my chest, and my stomach twisted until I could not hold it back anymore.I pushed myself out of bed, almost stumbling to bathroom. My knees hit the ground as I bent over the toilet and threw up violently. The sour taste burned my throat, and my body shook with each heave. Tears streamed harder as I gripped the edge of the toilet, struggling to keep myself upright. The image of Cassey’s lifeless body falling to the ground after I snapped her neck filled my mind again and again. Her eyes were haunting me, her wolf’s snarl echoed in my ears, and the way her body went limp under my hand replayed endlessly.I kept t

ALPHA CONANI was about to leave the healer’s chamber after ensuring that Gwen was resting when I heard the healer’s voice calling me from behind. Her tone was uneasy, the kind that carried weight. I stopped immediately and turned to face her. Her eyes were sharp, and her face carried the seriousness of someone who was about to make a difficult decision.“Alpha Conan,” she said as she stepped closer, lowering her voice even more. “We need to talk. Right now.”I looked at her in silence for a moment, sensing that whatever she had to say was important. “What is it?” I asked, my voice steady even though I already felt tension building in my chest.“I saw what happened out there,” she began, her gaze never leaving mine. “I saw her glow. And I am not just talking about a trick of the light. Her entire presence changed. Her eyes turned silver. Her skin… it was as though it was radiating power. Conan, this is not something you can ignore.”I listened carefully, but my expression remained unr

GWENThe sound of the growl echoed across the training grounds. Everyone’s head turned in the same direction, their eyes scanning for the source. My own breath caught as my gaze landed on Cassy. She was no longer standing in human form. She had shifted into a large brown wolf, her eyes burning with rage. The pack members stepped back quickly, some out of fear and others in shock. A low murmur passed through the crowd, but no one dared to step forward. I could feel their eyes darting between her and me, waiting for what would happen next.Cassy snarled and lowered her head, her muscles tightening before she lunged forward. Her claws dug into the earth as she ran toward me at full speed. I tried to move, but she was so fast that I barely had time to react.Conan roared in fury and shifted into his massive black wolf, his powerful form hitting the ground in front of me. He launched himself forward, trying to intercept her, but she was already too close. The world seemed too slow for a mo

GWENCassy lunged forward with surprising speed, and I instantly stepped back, my arms up to protect myself. Her eyes locked on my stomach, her intent clear, and my body reacted before my mind could even form a plan. Cassy moved. Her body shot forward with speed that left no time for thought. I barely had time to shift my footing before she was in front of me, her arm slicing through the air in a sharp strike aimed at my ribs. My hands shot up instinctively, blocking the blow, but the impact still rattled my arms and forced me two steps back. My eyes locked on hers, and I saw only fury and a clear intent to win, at any cost. She did not pause to measure me further. Cassy pressed forward, her strikes quick, each one meant to break through my guard and force me open. I kept my elbows close, my hands ready to deflect, my feet light so I could move away from her reach. I knew what she was aiming for. Every shove, every sudden low kick, every faint shift of her weight was meant to open a
