Arielle

I could still feel the residue of panic in the air when I walked into the training yard. Jax was sitting against the wall, one hand pressed to his side and the other holding himself up just to stay on his knees.

His shirt was torn. His hair matted and yet he was alive. He was breathing. And I could see the faintest spark in his eyes that told me he was still here still fighting.

“Jax!” I said softly, my voice cutting through the thick tension of the courtyard. The pack was watching and every head turned out way.

“You are alive. How… how did this happen?”

He looked up slowly, his movement careful. Pain laced his features but he tried to smile.

“You saved me. I… I don’t know how. I don’t know why you even care.” he whispered like it was the simplest thing in the world like it was something I had no choice but to do.

“I care because this is not how things end,” I said stepping closer, my boots crunching against the dry dirt.

I could feel the heat in my body. Anger and relief

DianeThe hut smelled like dried leaves and smoke and something bitter that always made my head hurt. I hated this place. I hated how the shadows clung to the walls like they were listening. The Prophetess sat where she always did with her back straight and her hands folded on her lap like she was carved out of stone and her eyes were sharp tonight. Sharper than before. I felt the moment I stepped inside and my stomach twisted because I knew something had shifted. She knew she was losing control amd she did not like it.“You are late” she said calmly but there was nothing calm about the way her fingers tightened. “Sit.”I obeyed because I always did. I lowered myself onto the stool opposite her and kept my eyes down. I had learned the hard way that looking too long into her face made her suspicious. Silence stretched between us and it pressed on my chest until I felt like I could not breathe properly.“You have been careless lately” she continued. “Your reports are thin. You used to

  • Claimed By His Daddy (Stripper/Nerd)   196- Shivering darkness

KaelIt is strange what the dark sounds like when you are not dead. I am not asleep ans I know that much. Sleep has edges. Dreams drift and blur and break apart but is different. This is heavy and slow and endless. It feels like being buried under warm soil while the world keeps moving above you. I hear things though no always clearly. Sounds come like they are passing through water.. Emotions hit harder than words but through all of it there is her.Arielle.I feel her before I hear her. I feel her sit beside me. I feel the way she always pauses like she is scared to breathe too loud in case she hurts me. She talks to me every night. Sometimes she talks about the pack and sometimes she talks about small things like what she ate or how the babies kicked. Sometimes she just cries quietly and tells me she is tired but she will not stop. I want to open my eyes every time she cries. I want to tell her to rest. To tell her she does not have to be strong all the time. But my body does

ArielleThe gifts started arriving without warning. At first it was small things. Crates left at the outer gates before dawn or oils wrapped in silk. Sometimes Blades forged by mountain packs who had not bowed to anyone in generations. Scrolls sealed with wax from clans that used to spit when the name Drayke was mentioned. The guards did not even announce them at first. They simply carried them in and stacked them neatly along the marble walls like offerings at an altar.By the third day the palace could not pretend it was a coincidence anymore.A delegation from the Northern Ridge arrived in black cloaks heavy with snow dust. Their Alpha did not wait to be summoned. He walked straight into the hall, removed his rings and placed them at my feet.“For the Silver Luna we have being waiting for.” he said his voice steady but eyes lowered. “A sign of respect.”I felt the room change. I felt the council stiffen. Those rings were symbols of rule and a temporary surrender. A message to ever

JaxJasmine did not knock. The door slammed open so hard it hit the wall and bounced back. Jax barely had time to turn before she was already inside the room. Her eyes were wild and bright like something inside her had snapped loose. He felt it instantly. It’s the kind of trage that does not listen.“So this is where you hide now?” She sneered as her voice shook but with fear and fury. “While everything falls apart?”Jax stood slowly. His body already felt tired as he had been tired for days. “You should not be here.”She laughed sharply. “You do not get to tell me where I should be.”He sighed. “Jasmine. Calm down.”That was the wrong thing to say. Her hand flew out and her black magic slammed into his chest like a wall. He hit the floor hard. Air left his lungs in a painful rush. He coughed and tried to push himself up but she was already standing over him.“You think I do not see you?” She shouted. “Walking around like you are clean? Like you did not promise me things?”Jax wiped

  • Claimed By His Daddy (Stripper/Nerd)   193- Diane’s loyalty

DianeThe Prophetess did not like to be kept waiting. Diane knew this before she even stepped into the place where the woman stayed. The air itself felt tight like it was holding its breath. Candles burned low even though no wind touched them. The room always smelled like old paper and iron and something sweet that made Diane’s stomach turn. She clasped her hands together to stop them from shaking and walked forward anyway.“You are late” the Prophetess said without looking up.Diane swallowed. “I had to be careful.”That earned her a slow glance. The Prophetess’s eyes were pale and sharp and old. They felt like they peeled skin away just by looking. “Careful or weak?” she asked calmly.“Careful.” Diane forced herself not to look away. The woman hummed softly and gestured to the seat across from her. Diane did not sit until she was told. She had learned that early. Respect here was survival. Silence stretched until Diane felt her heartbeat in her ears.“Report,” the Prophetess said
