Jaxon’s POV

The bathroom door clicked shut behind me as I stepped into my room, steam still clinging to my skin. A towel was wrapped low around my waist, damp at the edges, and I had a shirt draped over my shoulder.

It had been a long day. Longer than most.

All I wanted was sleep. Silence. Maybe a few hours where the world didn’t demand decisions, mercy, blood, or strength from me.

I took three steps toward the bed when I felt my wolf stir.

Not in a warning growl. But in alarm.

I stopped, sensing the air in the room felt...occupied.

I turned slowly toward the drawn curtains near the far wall, my muscles tightening instinctively.

“You know,” I said calmly, voice low, dangerous, “it’s not smart to sneak up on an alpha.”

For a beat, nothing moved.

Then the curtains shifted.

A figure stepped out of the shadows, hands raised in a mock surrender as she moved into the soft glow of the small table lamp.

Eli’s mother smiled at me.

It wasn’t the same woman I’d seen weeks ago.

Not entirely.

She

  • Claimed By The Alpha Biker   Chapter 125

Kara’s POVBy the time I slipped back into the storeroom, my shoulders were already aching and my hands smelled like dirt no amount of scrubbing could fully erase.I really needed a bath. A warm bath.In a bathtub. In my room.Fuck, I want to go home.I groaned lowly as I shut the door and it creaked softly, careful to slide the wooden wedge back into place the way I’d learned. The storeroom greeted me with its familiar blend of dust, old grain, and oil-stained wood. Moonlight filtered in through the crack in the wall, casting long shadows across the floor.Sheila was already there. She sat on an overturned crate, boots propped on another, blade resting lazily across her knees. Her hair was tied back messily, loose strands framing a face that looked both irritated and relieved to be off duty.I blinked. “You’re early.”She glanced up, eyes sharp, then rolled them dramatically. “I got tired of being sent to skin meerkats.”I stared at her.She continued, clearly offended. “Do you know

Reese’s POVI startled awake with a sharp gasp, my body jerking like I’d been pulled out of deep water. The cave ceiling swam above me for a second, as shadows bent and reformwd as my vision adjusted. My skin was slick with sweat and my hair plastered to my temples and neck. My chest heaved as I dragged in breath after breath, each one scraping my throat raw.My mouth was dry. Painfully so.“Veronica,” I whispered. The name fell from my lips before I could stop it like it had been waiting there all along.I swallowed hard and pushed myself up on my elbows, my muscles trembling slightly. The stone floor beneath me was cold, unforgiving, but it grounded me in a way the dream hadn’t.Because it had been a dream. At least, that was what I told myself.I dragged a hand down my face, wiping sweat from my forehead and eyes. My fingers shook. My heart was still racing like I’d been running for miles, or fighting for my life.Veronica.The old woman’s face was still too clear in my mind. Too s

Jaxon’s POVLiam stood where the guards had shoved him forward, shoulders hunched, blood drying in uneven streaks along his cheek and jaw. One eye was already swelling shut. His hands were bound behind his back. For a moment, I just looked at him.It was strange how easily the mind forgot faces when it wanted to. I had almost forgotten he existed. Stupid me, a human in the pack? That would have never gone well. I should have paid more attention to him. Last time we had seen, he had defiance in his eyes. Now he wouldn’t meet my eyes.“So,” I said calmly, folding my arms as I stepped closer, “I let you live just so you could steal from me?”Liam flinched. His head snapped up for half a second, panic flashing across his features before he looked down again. “No—no, Alpha, please. I—I didn’t mean—”“Answer the question.” I said evenly. He swallowed hard. “I was hungry.”Rat shifted behind him, massive arms crossed over his chest, chef’s hat still crooked from how fast he’d barged in earl

Jaxon’s POVMy office smelled like coffee. The strong, bitter kind of black coffee. It was the only thing keeping me upright at this point.Eli sat across from me on the couch, his legs dangling because they still didn’t reach the floor, both his hands wrapped around a wide plastic cup filled with something outrageously purple. Nina had called it a smoothie. I suspected it was mostly fruit, sugar, and a quiet bribe. It wasn’t working.“So,” Eli said, staring at my desk like it personally offended him, “why do wolves hate rogues so much?”I dropped my pen.It clattered softly against the wood, rolling until it bumped against a stack of reports I’d been trying, and failing, to finish for the past hour.I closed my eyes briefly.“Eli,” I said carefully, opening them again, “we talked about this.”He leaned forward, elbows on his knees. “You said I could ask questions.”“I said you could ask some questions.”He tilted his head. “What’s the difference?”I stared at him.He stared back, ent

  • Claimed By The Alpha Biker   Chapter 120

Kara’s POVNight came quietly in the rogue camp and the day light was replaced with bunfires and voices along with people around them as the chaos of the day settled.I waited until the woman, Mara, turned her back, busy barking orders at two younger wolves who were arguing over supplies. I slipped away the same way I’d learned to do everything here without being memorable. The storeroom was on the far edge of the camp, half hidden behind stacked crates and torn canvas. I took three different paths getting there, doubling back once, pausing twice to listen. By the time I reached the door, my nerves were stretched tight enough to hum.I checked the ground first. No extra footprints. No drag marks. No disturbed dust near the entrance.Good.I slipped inside and pulled the door shut behind me, locking it the same way I had that morning with a careful wedge of wood that would hold but wouldn’t look deliberate. The storeroom was dark except for a thin line of moonlight cutting through a cr
