The arena goes completely silent.

Rhea and Britney face each other. Ten feet apart.

My entire body is rigid. Every muscle tense. King is pressed against my chest, watching through my eyes.

She’ll be fine, I tell him. She can handle this.

But I don’t know if I believe it.

Britney is in wolf form. Large. Aggressive. Fully shifted.
