ログインIRIS POV:
I kissed him back, hungry and desperate, like all the fear and confusion from the night had turned into this one burning need. He backed me gently toward the huge bed behind us. His body pressed into mine, hard and warm through the thin towel. One thigh slipped between my legs, giving me something to press against. I gasped into his mouth at the sudden friction. Pleasure sparked inside me, making my knees weak. His fingers found the knot at the top of the towel. With one slow tug, he loosened it. The thick fabric slipped from my body and pooled at my feet, leaving me completely bare in front of him. I didn’t have time to feel embarrassed. My wolf purred inside me. She was enjoying it. His hands were already on me, sliding over my waist, up my ribs, his thumbs brushing the undersides of my breasts. He cupped them gently, then more firmly, his thumbs circling my nipples until they ached. A low moan escaped my mouth. My back arched, pressing myself harder into his touch. He kissed my neck lightly. One hand stayed on my breast while the other drifted lower, fingers tracing the curve of my hip, then dipping between my thighs. But then reality crashed back. It was like I snapped back to myself. This was wrong. He was a stranger, a dangerous one. And I had just run from one man. I wasn’t about to hand myself over to another. With a sharp gasp, I shoved against his chest. He stumbled back one step, surprise flashing across his face. I didn’t wait. I picked up the towel. I spun and ran for the door, my bare feet slapping against the cool marble. My wet hair whipped against my shoulders. I yanked the handle, and the door opened. I burst out of the room. But before I disappeared around the corner, I couldn’t help it. I looked back. Aurelian stood exactly where I had left him. He wasn’t chasing. He wasn’t angry. He was frozen. I had never seen a face so shocked. He looked like I was never supposed to stop him. His eyes were wide, his mouth slightly open, the golden glow fading slowly from his irises, leaving them storm-gray again. Then the door swung shut behind me, cutting him off from view. I pressed my back against the hallway wall. I hurriedly wrapped the towel around myself. My body still hummed where he had touched me. But I was free, for now. And he was still in there, probably staring at the closed door, wondering how I was able to resist him. I stood there, confused about where I should run to. His bodyguards were everywhere. I felt safer when he was there, but now I don’t know what’s safe anymore. I ran down the hallway. But upon reaching a corner, I bumped into a man in a black suit. I looked up at him. He had broad shoulders and long black hair scattered around his face. “What the?” He looked at me in confusion. “Where do you think you're going?” he growled, grabbing me by the arms. “Let go of me,” I pleaded, trying to pull away, but it was no use. He was way bigger and stronger. He pulled me back to Aurelian’s room. As we reached the door, he released my hands. “Stay here if you want to get out of here alive,” he commanded. I obeyed, standing still with the towel wrapped around my body. “Boss, you in there?” “Boss, you in there?” he called again. There was a pause. Then, from inside the room, Aurelian’s voice came calmly. “Leave her.” The bodyguard straightened immediately. “Yes, Boss.” He gave me one last warning look before stepping aside and walking down the hallway, his polished shoes echoing against the marble floor until the sound faded. I stood frozen. He knew what the guard was here for already. The door clicked open slowly. Aurelian stepped out. He had changed. I noticed there were a few tears in his eyes he tried to hide. His eyes moved over me once. “Go in and change into something, and you can be on your way,” he commanded. I tightened the towel around myself as I watched him walk down the hallway.IRIS POV:“I've directed my men to drive you back,” he said quietly.“Fine,” I replied. It didn't matter if it was late outside. All I wanted to do was leave.I walked toward the huge doors where two guards waited.“Iris, wait.” His voice echoed from behind me. I turned around slowly.“How were you able to run?” he asked, frowning.“What do you mean?” I asked.“You resisted me,” he said. “How did you do it?”“Resist? I didn't feel it was right, so I ran,” I stated.“No, Iris!” he shouted. “You don't know who I am or what I am. You weren't supposed to be able to do that.” He growled, his eyes glowing gold.My face changed that instant.“What, then, are you?” I asked. He looked me in the eye. “The ride is ready. You can leave now.”That was it. No answer to my question.I turned, walking out of the door.Up ahead was a Lamborghini, sleek, matte black, with razor-sharp lines. Aventador SVJ, I realized as I got closer. I had seen enough car magazines in waiting rooms to recognize this one
IRIS POV:I couldn't explain what just happened. I was literally confused.I waited until he turned left.I pushed the door open and stepped back inside the room. I walked straight to the massive closet. The lights turned on automatically when I got close. Rows and rows of clothes hung perfectly straight. Suits, shirts, pants, all dark colors, all expensive-looking. Everything smelled clean, like him. There were no women’s clothes there. Nothing soft or flowery. Just his things.I didn’t want to wear a dress again. Not tonight. Not after everything. My fingers brushed over a white button-up shirt. It was big. Crisp. The kind he probably wore under those white suits. The fabric felt smooth and cool against my skin. I pulled it off the hanger.Next to it were black sweatpants. Soft cotton. No drawstring, just elastic at the waist. Simple. They looked huge on the hanger, but I didn’t care.I dropped the towel. It hit the floor with a soft sound.I slipped the white shirt on first. The sl

IRIS POV:I hated the way my body responded to the voice of someone I had just met a few hours ago.“I don't know what you're saying,” I lied. I totally knew what he meant.I looked behind him. There was the door. I could simply run away from him and head out, but my feet and body just couldn't move. This feeling was different, more like a compelling power. Why was his presence commanding my body more than even me, the owner of it?He took a step closer. “You're a bad liar, you know,” he whispered. My body instantly went still. I managed to look into his eyes, which were glowing golden. I felt lost in them.Aurelian lifted his hand slowly and brushed the back of his knuckles down my cheek. The touch was light but electrifying. It sent heat racing under my skin like fire chasing dry grass. My breath caught. I should have stepped back. I should have slapped his hand away. Instead, my eyelids fluttered, and a soft, involuntary sound slipped from my lips, like a surrender. He smiled at th
IRIS POV:The car kept moving north for what felt like forever. The highway slowly turned into narrower roads, then into private lanes lined with tall pines. No more billboards. No more lights from other packs. Just the soft glow from the dashboard. Finally, the Rolls-Royce slowed. Tall iron gates appeared ahead, opening automatically as we approached.Beyond them stretched an estate that took my breath away. Massive stone walls, perfectly trimmed hedges, fountains lit up with soft gold light, and a main house that looked more like a modern palace than a home.Everything screamed money and power. The kind only Trillionaires could own.As the car rolled to a stop in the circular driveway, men in black suits stepped out from the shadows. Bodyguards. At least ten of them. All holding guns, big ones, held low but ready. Their faces were hard, eyes sharp. They looked like they would shoot first and ask questions later. The driver opened Aurelian’s door. He stepped out calmly, like this was
IRIS POV:The highway stretched out like an endless ride; the estate lights had disappeared completely behind us. The Rolls-Royce glided so smoothly I almost forgot we were moving, only the low hum of the engine and the occasional soft click of the tires over expansion joints reminded me this wasn’t a dream.I kept stealing glances at him.He sat relaxed, one arm draped along the back of the seat, the other resting loosely on his thigh. The white suit should have looked out of place in the dead of night, but on him it didn’t. It looked like armor. I wanted to ask him where we're going but my wolf seemed to trust him more than I did.I swallowed.“Where… where are we going?” I asked softly. He turned his head slowly, those storm-gray eyes catching mine.“Somewhere safe,” he said simply. “Somewhere no one will look for you tonight.”“That’s not an answer.”One corner of his mouth lifted like a smile.“North,” he said after a beat. “Past the border territories. I have a little property
