LUNA ASTERBELLE’S POV
Cornered by two members of their pack, whose strength remains unidentified, I wasn’t able to resist anymore. I went back inside that luxurious territory, where Alpha Holmes was waiting for me to return."You should discard that stubborn attitude of yours," he scoffed, maintaining his cold tone. "Follow Butler Zen to your lighting ceremony’s venue. It’s almost time for it to commence," he added before he left.I glanced at the butler, who shrugged his shoulders after I gave him a meaningful look.Minutes flew by. I was surrounded by people I wasn’t familiar with. The expression in their eyes clearly states how much they couldn’t wait for me to be one with their alpha.Even if they don’t really say it, I can tell that they only want to make use of me. Once my purpose here is done, they’ll probably throw me out of their pack as well, or worse, kill me.LUNA ASTERBELLE’S POV The crowd has gone wild all of a sudden just because of the appearance of this woman, who had no manners. She didn’t even bother introducing herself. She literally attacked me from the get-go. "What’s the matter with you?" I furiously asked as I tugged my arm away from her grasp. The woman raised one of her eyebrows. "Don’t you know who I am?" "Yes. That’s right. I don’t f*cking know who you are, and neither do I have the slightest interest in getting to know an imbecile woman!" I raised my voice at her. I took a short glance at the butler after I yelled. Butler Zen had his mouth open out of surprise. Although I think that there was something else in his mind that bothered him. "Miss Asterbelle, stop. Don’t make a fuss out in public. This won’t do you any good if this reaches the Alpha." Zen gave me a warning. I heaved out
LUNA ASTERBELLE’S POV Lights were getting my vision blocked. The room was occupied by lots of women who I hadn’t met before. All of them seemed to have no idea what this auction would bring them. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be showing such a bright smile, as if their future would be better after being sold and bought by those they’re not acquainted with. Most of the buyers would probably be scum—low-life wolves who are yearning for the satisfaction of their heating phases. "How can I get out of this place?" I murmured to myself while I continued to observe the others as they were getting themselves ready. "There’s no way out of here, Miss Asterbelle," a lady from my right side said, answering my query. I turned around to face her and was immediately amazed by her dazzling beauty. Her simplicity stood out, unlike mine, which had numerous products applied to my face. Her lips curled upward
LUNA ASTERBELLE’S POV A hand gripped my forearm, and judging from its temperature, I instantly knew it was the king, despite being unable to see him clearly through the darkness. "What are you doing here, Dawn?" I inquired, even though I already had a hunch that he came here just to save me from the Alpha. "I made a mistake—I let you go here as if you wanted to on your own accord. I shouldn’t have let Nero take you with him," Dawn replied, his voice filled with pity for the situation that I was in. I held the temple of my head as it continuously ached with an undetermined cause. I heard Shin’s voice telling me to choose between him and the king. I was beginning to get hysterical the longer that I stayed here. Could this be the disease that they were talking about? "Come home with me, Luna. I’ll keep you safe and always within my reach, so you won’t be in danger." F
LUNA ASTERBELLE’S POV Yesterday was hectic. I was forced to agree upon the conditions of the auction through the document that Beta Holmes gave me. I had to sign it with my full name along with a drop of my blood where I pressed my thumb to paste my fingerprint. One of the terms that made me terrified to forfeit was the fact that I’d die if I did—they would slowly torture me until I gave up and was exhausted from living. After an hour of contract signing, the auction proceeded as planned, and everyone of us was bought through the bidding system. The only difference I had among other women was the fact that the one who had the highest bid on me wasn’t a stranger; it was Alpha Holmes himself. He made a generous offer to purchase me for three times what my father expected—a whopping ten trillion dollars! I wouldn’t have that much money even if I worked my ass off for my entire life; Mr. Asterbelle would sur
LUNA ASTERBELLE'S POVI ultimately lost control of my whole body. I couldn’t regenerate, no matter how many attempts I made. My blood flushed out of my shoulders as I watched my fingers slightly tap themselves on the ground as if they had their own life."Is this how you intend to treasure me for eternity? By slowly killing me?" I asked.Alpha Shin’s eyes literally showed how amused he was. "Oh, this is just the beginning. Would you like to get to the exciting part now or would you wait until it’s officially your turn?" He laughed like a maniac would.I hissed, unable to think of a plan to get away from this place without my arms. I refuse to be a part of the Crimson Moon Pack’s prey."You already have my blood. What would you do now?"Shin knelt on one of his knees on the floor, glancing below to have a look at the viscous liquid down there. He let his index finger slip on it, then raised it in front of my face to tease me."This…" He played with my blood with his fingers. "A single d
LUNA ASTERBELLE’S POVAlpha Shin’s statements always seemed to get the best out of me. Maybe, just maybe… if I was actually born and raised in the Crimson Moon Pack, there’s a chance that I’d accept Shin’s proposal that we should be mates; if so, then I wouldn’t be able to find any other reason to reject him other than his random ruthlessness."Are you for real? You’re telling a hoax just because I did? I didn’t know you were the type to be hungry for paybacks." I moved away from his tight and warm embrace. "You probably talked the same way to these other creatures and women. Don’t think that I’d ever fall for any of your traps anymore."He shortly laughed, which was immediately replaced with an annoyed emotion. "You’re no fun. But still, I want you to be my mate and officially be my Luna. That’s your fate right from the very beginning."Shin turned around to head out of the underground, so I followed him before he even thought of locking me down there and never coming back to release
LUNA ASTERBELLE'S POV No matter how many times I convinced myself that Yuki was lying to me, considering how I wore something precious to her without her consent, I just couldn't stop thinking of the possibility that Shin really was using me for his own benefit. "Can't you help us get out of this place? You're not residing within the pack house, right?" I begged Yuki to take me and the King over to her dormitory. "Shin will kill me once he figures out that I'm the one who's responsible for assisting you out of the mansion," Yuki replied, obviously frightened of her brother. I placed my hand on one of her shoulders to reassure her that what she was anticipating wouldn't occur. "Alpha Shin isn't that type of brother, Miss Yuki Holmes. From what I heard from Butler Zen, he's protecting you even when you're not in his mansion, since he knows how risky it is for you to be outside." Yuki giggled, and for some
LUNA ASTERBELLE’S POV I've been running back and forth, from the monitor to examine what’s happening out there and to the windows, where I could clearly see a mass of werewolves lurking by. If this was what Dawn was referring to, then I really am in grave danger! Everything I thought of wasn’t useful at all. Whenever I tried to escape through the window, I kept on getting seen by some of the wolves, which made me nervous about the possibility that they would gang up on me. On the other hand, the students from the same floor as me were endlessly banging on my door; they’re harmonized in telling me to go out of my room. I clenched both of my fists as I heaved out a sigh. "Things turned downhill real quick." As soon as I opened the door, a stranger pulled me out of my room. "Did you have a death wish back there, Miss Asterbelle?" she yelled at me with such a frustrated expression. "What were you planning to
