Flora

Kiran’s voice was the first thing I heard when she pushed the door open.

She leaned on the wall, looked at me, and raised her eyebrows. “You look like someone who is about to do something really stupid,” she said slowly.

I gave a small smile, but I didn’t even try to deny it. Maybe she was right. My head was full of thoughts, too heavy to carry. My chest felt hot, like anger and sadness mixed together.

Kiran walked closer and sat beside me on the bed. She looked at me the way only she could, like she could see straight into my heart. “Flora, whatever it is you’re planning, stop now. Don’t do it. You’re playing with fire, and I don’t want to watch you burn. I can feel it,this is dangerous.”

I let out a long breath, like the air itself was heavy. “Kiran… all my life, I’ve been scared. Scared of what people will say about me. Scared of what Valen will do. Scared of what the whole pack will think if I make the wrong step. I’m tired of it. I can’t live like that anymore. I don’t want

Flora woke up slowly. Her body felt heavy, like she had been asleep for days. Her head ached, her lips were dry, and her throat felt tight. When she opened her eyes, she saw a ceiling made of wood. The smell of smoke from a fire reached her nose. For a moment, she did not know where she was. Her heart jumped, and she sat up too quickly. Pain shot through her legs and arms, and she let out a small cry, clutching the blanket over her.The door opened at once, and Leo stepped inside. His eyes locked on her right away, sharp and focused.“You are awake,” he said. His voice was calm, but his eyes looked worried, like he had been waiting for this moment.Flora blinked, trying to focus. The room around her was simple but warm. The walls were wooden, a small fire burned in the corner, and the light flickered softly against the walls. A thick blanket covered her body. She touched it, confused, because she had not felt warm in weeks.“Where am I?” she asked softly, her voice almost shaking, as

  • Claimed by my Ex-husband's friend    Chapter 71

Third Person’s PerspectiveFlora moved slowly through the thick forest. Her steps were weak and uneven. Her dress was torn at the sides, the fabric catching on low branches as she tried to push forward. Her bare feet hurt from walking over roots and stones, and every step made her legs shake. She leaned on trees for support, pressing her palm against the rough bark, breathing hard as if each breath was a battle. She kept close to the shadows, hiding behind tall trees whenever she heard something move. Voices still echoed from far away. Valen’s men were still searching for her. Sometimes she thought she saw a dark figure passing between the trees, and she froze completely, even holding her breath, afraid they would hear the sound of her lungs. Her stomach growled loudly. She had not eaten anything since the night of the festival. Hunger made her weak, and her hands trembled when she tried to hold branches out of her way. Once, she found a small stream. She bent down quickly and tried t

Third Person’s PerspectiveFlora woke to the sound of chains clinking. The sound was sharp and cold, echoing off the walls. Her eyes were heavy, her body aching as if she had been lying still for a very long time. When she tried to move, she realized her hands were tied tightly to the arms of a wooden chair. The ropes cut into her skin, rough and burning. Her legs were also bound, leaving her helpless and unable to stand.A dark room surrounded her. Only a single candle burned in the corner. Its weak flame moved slightly, throwing shaky light across the stone walls. The floor was dirty, and water dripped from somewhere above. The air smelled of damp stone, sweat, and blood, making it hard to breathe. Then she heard footsteps. Slow. Heavy. Familiar. Each step made her chest tighten.Valen stepped out of the shadows. His face was pale, his jaw set tight, his eyes wild and filled with anger. His mouth twisted when he saw her sitting tied to the chair.“You,” he spat. His voice shook with

Third Person’s PerspectiveThree weeks later, the pack was full of excitement. The whole village was decorated for the festival. Colorful lanterns hung from tall wooden poles, their warm glow lighting up the night sky. Long tables were covered with food, roasted meat, bread, fruits, and bowls of steaming soup. The air smelled rich with spices and firewood.Music played loudly in the center of the field. Drummers beat their hands on stretched hides, and flutes sang out sharp and clear. The rhythm made people laugh and move their feet. Children ran around, chasing one another with ribbons and wooden toys. Women carried trays of food, serving everyone who passed. Men lifted their drinks high and shouted cheers, clapping each other on the back.It was the festival, a time the pack celebrated peace and blessings. Everyone was dressed in their best clothes. Everyone was smiling. For a moment, the world felt safe.Flora stood with Leo at the edge of the crowd, close enough to see the firelig

Flora’s PerspectiveI was brushing my hair in front of the mirror when Kiran appeared, leaning casually against the doorframe. “Flora,” she said with a sly grin, “you look… dangerous today. Careful who you anger.”I smirked, raising an eyebrow. “And you? What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be running off to… business?”She laughed softly, a teasing sound. “Ah, you know me too well. Yes, I do have business in the next pack. There’s a certain… man I need to see. Very important business, of course.”I rolled my eyes, trying to hide my grin. “Business, huh? Sounds very naughty.”Her lips curved into a mischievous smile. “You know it, Flora. And don’t act like you don’t enjoy hearing about it.”I shook my head, laughing lightly. “You are impossible. Just remember, don’t get caught. Or at least, don’t get caught by the wrong people.”Kiran winked. “Oh, I’ll be careful. But you… you better stay out of my way. Or I might have to show you what ‘business’ really means.”I laughed again, feel

Flora’s Perspective“Flora,” Leo said, his voice low and serious, “you can’t keep staring at me like that. You’re going to give me ideas.”I smirked, tilting my head. “Oh? And what ideas would those be?”He took a slow step closer, his eyes dark, focused. “The kind that don’t belong in public,” he murmured, his hand brushing lightly against mine as he passed.I laughed softly, letting my fingers linger where his had touched. “Public doesn’t matter,” I said, leaning a little closer. “Not when we have… time like this.”He chuckled, low and husky, and I felt the familiar pull in my chest. Every word, every look between us seemed to carry more than the conversation itself. It wasn’t just about talking—it was about control, about presence, about that unspoken connection we shared.“Do you even realize how dangerous that smile of yours is?” he asked, his voice dropping even lower.I leaned forward, teasing, letting my hair brush his shoulder. “Dangerous? Maybe. Or maybe I just know exactly
