ENZO POV

“Suzy, I must say you’re quite the character. You even denied your name, which makes me wonder how you created that act in your head. You ghosted me for 2 days, and there’s no explanation for it. But if you had asked me for a job, I’d have given you.” I explained it to her, hoping she would understand without hesitation, but she still found it hard.

“I want to merit the position that you’d give me. I never knew you were the new boss.” She stutters, making me wonder where the confidence I saw earlier eloped to.

“Now you know, you work for me. How productive are you? And you know,w working for me means you won’t disappear for two days as you did. You’ll be monitored and protected because you’re my asset.” I chuckled at the end of my sentence,ce examining her response.

“Enough of work discussion. You asked me for a dance.” She ended the conversation before getting up to her feet.

She wasn’t a bad dancer, cer but she wasn’t used to this type of music, and I could tell by the way she tried to copy mine. Were distracted by the knock on the door.

I was about to raise my voice, but Suzy dragged my collar down, letting me know that she wanted me to remain calm.

“What do you want?”

“Just a reminder,r sir. We have an important meeting in the next five minutes, es and they’re already getting settled in the conference room.”

“Would you like to join the meeting?” I inquired as I held her hand, but she stopped and dropped the glass cup in her hand.

“I don’t even know what position you’re giving me, but that’s the least of my worries right now.w, I don’t even know what you’re about to discuss with them.”

“Discuss?” I had to show her the wristwatch on my hand. I’m not meant to discuss with anyone; everyone is always meeting with me to convince me to make a decision.

I’m every man’s role model, not to mention how many influential people have gone on their knees to persuade me into making a decision.

“No one discusses with me. They’re here to convince me.” I mentioned, holding the glass in my hand.

I strolled out and was about closing the door, but it stopped, it felt stuck, then looking at her shoes I realized that she wanted to join me in the meeting.

Sitting back in the office would not only be boring but very awkward, awkward, and I can tell she loves talking about business, which is still a shocking revelation to me.

I sat down in my position and asked the secretary to move down a bit so Suzy could sit beside me.

“I know you haven’t heard about our company, but as you can see,e we’ve made over eighty percent…”

“I don’t mean to interrupt, but if you say you’ve made eighty percent. Why do you want a quarter of a million? Your statement here is that you’re defending a multi-million dollar company,y which means you should be targeting larger investments. “ I was stunned, watching with keen interest.

“We’ve had larger investors, our last input…”

“Ye, ah, speaking of input, I need you to understand that if we’re going to invest in your company, it’s going to be a total shit show. Your numbers aren’t even adding up, and I can see more than sixteen errors just by reading this trash you call a file.” She salvaged them right there and left everyone speechless.

Is this Suzy? Suzy hasn’t attended one of my meetings because she knows nothing about stocks and investments, so how is it so sudden that she mastered it like it was an art to her?

“What aren’t you telling me, Suzy?” I muttered to myself as she pushed her seat backwards.

“Your company is good on the outside,e but the inside is a deep hole, le and that’s because your partners are eating off the cake, ak,e and I’m sure you don’t even know about it. Your numbers show how much your company is worth, orth but the output isn’t aligning with your input, which means,” She strolled around to the man’s seat and showed him the numbers in the file.

“Is this fraud?”

“It might be fraud,d or it might be a deliberate decision made by your partners and the board. They will drain you to your last penny,ny and you’d have no choice but to sell your building.” She replied as if she were the queen of the game.

Not only did she save me from making a wrong decision, but she even helped my enemies.

What if Suzy wasn’t here and they managed to convince me to start the investments? It would have been a disaster in the end.

“Why do you look tense, sir? Do you have an idea of what has been happening to his company?” Suzy asked, staring at the man sitting opposite the man she helped.

“If you don’t say it right now. I’ll go after your family and everyone that knows you and make your life miserable!” I snapped, scaring off the young adult who loosened up his tie just to breathe properly.

“Yeah, she’s right, every month about sixty thousand dollars is being shared amongst your partners and the board. She’s not of this world,d I’d say, because we made sure it was hard for anyone to notice, but she did in minutes. Do you know how many weeks it took the whole team to draft out this document?” He ended his confession with a question.

“You’re going to take me back to the office so I can fix this once and for all. Thank you for your observation. I don’t know your name.”

“Her name is Suzy Sinclair, and she’s my fiancée.” I winked at her before stretching forth my hand for a handshake,e before the man leaves.

“With her by your side, you’d navigate through any type of market. She’s a genius, keep her close.” I respected the old man’s words and wished he had known about those hoodlums before now.

“Give him one hundred thousand dollars. That’ll be enough to help his company avoid going bankrupt.

“How do I find him?” The secretary asked as she touched her tablet repeatedly, caring less about the schedule she was looking at.

“That’s your job and not mine,” I replied before watching her leave. Suzy dragged my attention to her soothing voice.

“So what’s my job, boss?”

I hope she has what it takes to play all roles in the span of a year and at the end make me the Alpha andrightfull ownerofo everything I built.

Enzo POV What’s he doing here? I never knew Alaric would show up again. He wants to be everywhere I am, trying to create a fuss that no one is seeing. I knew Suzy was worried when she saw him because he’s the reason why she left that day, but I was surprised when she held my hand and danced with me. Suzy acted like he wasn’t there, and I was the only one; she danced more than before. It felt like she had mastered every step I taught her back in my office. I didn’t even realize that everyone had stopped dancing and focused their attention on us. When the music stopped, I looked into her eyes and planted a kiss on her lips before turning around to see Quinn and her father sitting at the place reserved for them. “Now that’s what we call a dance that will be remembered. You did well at your first trial, Suzy.” My father praised her. “This is my second trial. He showed me the steps, and I copied them. It’s simple logic, nothing to be worried about.” I pulled out the seat for her and

Amber POV “Let’s have a glass of wine. What’s a party without wine?”“But we’re not at the event yet; we’re still home.”“I’ve got nothing to worry about since I’m not the one driving.” He downed everything in his cup before going out of the house.I didn’t take a sip out of the glass he gave me; I dropped it back on the table and followed him. By the time I got into the back of the SUV, his father strolled out of the house. “Where is Quinn?”“I have someone filling in her position for now, Father. Let’s go; we’re running late. This is a family friend occasion, and we have to be present throughout every process.” I heard every word he said to his father because he left the door open to respond to him. He got in and planted a kiss on my cheek. “You look absolutely stunning. They only added extra because you’re so pretty.” He turned to his phone, and there was a message from his supposed wife, Quinn. WE SHOULD ATTEND THE BIRTHDAY OCCASION TOGETHER. WHAT COLOR OF DRESS SHOULD I GET?

Amber POVOpening my eyes and feeling the warmth of his arms around me is the best feeling ever. He waited for me to wake up before he stood up from the bed because I could see how he wrapped me in his left arm and used his right hand to press his phone.“You’re awake, my princess. How’s your sleep?” He chuckled as he dropped his phone and then picked up something from the other side of the bed that was unknown to me. “A flower, a small note written by me, and an outfit for the occasion today.” He dropped the box between us and handed the letter and the flower to me. “What occasion?” I imagined the last time I ever received a gift from a man. Ryan only gave me little things while we were dating, but the moment we got married, it felt like the whole game had changed. He treated me like I was a burden to him. I feel so relieved that I don’t have to be in his shoes anymore. “There’s a birthday celebration. The Eastwood Pack has a new heir, and his wife just conceived a male cub, whic

Enzo POv She threw her hands at me, but I held them in the air and pushed her back down, showing how weak her defense was. She even attacked without holding herself down. “You need to sit down and listen to me. You’re a member of this family. You’re a Steele, so act like it.!”My dominant voice sent her to the right door. She wanted to be far away from me. “I don’t know why you did what you did. You took out my SIM card and tossed my phone. Come on, who does that to a wife? If I were the wife and I did this to your phone, what would you do?” She sobbed as she showed me both hands, sh; folded them into fists, but she knew better than to hit me. I’d make her look weaker than before. I might even try to snap her hand a bit. “You don’t know how to throw punches whi, which means you don’t even know how to defend yourself. There’s a lot you need to learn, Suzy, and I’d get you a new phone before you wake up tomorrow morning. Are you hungry?”“Don’t ask me a question you know the answer
