Zach POV

Justin knows enough not to say a word about my situation as he walks in. He simply comes forward and sets a flash drive on my desk in front of me.

"That's the recordings from that night. Caleb spent all of last night extracting and deleting it from the records. No one else has seen it as far as we know."

I stare at the thing with no desire to pick it up. Worrying about the demon and people finding out has become exhausting. I don't even want to think about my curse right now.

The brief conversation with Kerris is still replaying in my head. I've had so much to deal with when I arrived at the towers, and planned to leave that confrontation till the end of the day. It appears she can't wait that long.

I move to pick up the flash when a shadow fills my doorway. It's her again. What does she want to say to me in front of my Beta? She knocks boldly this time.
