Chapter 95: Before the Storm

AVELINE'S POV

Two weeks.

It'd been two weeks since the wedding. Since everything changed.

I pressed my palms against the shower wall and let the hot water beat down on my shoulders. My muscles ached. Everything ached lately.

Christy had been pushing me harder in training. Way harder. I didn't understand why but every session left me barely able to walk. Yesterday she'd made me run laps until I threw up, then made me run more.

When I asked her why, she just said, "You need to be stronger."

Stronger for what?

I closed my eyes and tried to let the water wash away the questions. The confusion. The weird feeling that'd been sitting in my chest for days now.

Something was wrong.

I didn't know what. Couldn't put my finger on it. But it was there. This heaviness in the air. This tension.

And Thorne.

God, Thorne.

My chest tightened just thinking about him.

The past two weeks had been... I didn't even have words for it. After the wedding night—after he'd claimed me

  • Claimed by the Damned Alpha King   Shadows and Deals

Chapter 94: Shadows and DealsJacob hated the forest at night.Too dark. Too quiet. Made him think too much.Made him remember. His boots crunched on dead leaves and he tried not to think about Stephen's face. The way his son had looked at him in those final seconds before Thorne ripped his head clean off his shoulders. The sound it made. God, the sound.Jacob's hands were shaking. They'd been shaking for weeks now. Ever since the execution.Ever since he'd stood there and watched his boy die and done absolutely nothing to stop it.He pushed through the last line of trees and stepped into the clearing.Someone was already there.A figure. Hood up, face hidden in shadow. Just standing there like they'd been waiting for hours. Maybe they had been.Jacob couldn't see anything. Not their face, not their hands. Just darkness where a person should be.But he could feel them. Feel the power coming off them in waves. It made his skin crawl. This wasn't some regular Alpha. This was something e

  • Claimed by the Damned Alpha King   The Letter

Chapter 93: The LetterTHORNEThe moment Dante said Nathan's name, everything clicked into place. The dead wolves. The attacks. They'd been waiting for my wedding to infiltrate. It wasn't random. It was never random.Nathan had been planning this. Orchestrating it. Playing us all like pieces on a chessboard. And I'd been too distracted—too focused on Aveline, on the wedding, on claiming what was mine—to see it coming.Fuck.I watched Dante carefully as he spoke, keeping my face neutral. Giving nothing away. His heartbeat was steady. His eyes were clear. And more importantly, his hatred for me was so obvious it practically radiated off him.He wasn't lying. He was genuinely here to warn me.Which meant things were worse than I thought."The child of the Silverthorne bloodline," I repeated, my mind racing behind the careful mask I wore. "Nathan thinks they still exist. That someone out there can forge a new moonstone.""Yes," Dante confirmed. "And he's convinced they're close. Close eno

Chapter 92: The Enemy of My Enemy (Part 2)DANTEBut Nathan didn't take no for an answer.A week after I sent my refusal, three of my wolves were found dead at Thorne's border. For a second, I was enraged. I thought Thorne had gone ballistic, killing my men and ridiculing me with the insults. But my mind instantly rewound back to another enemy, one who would kill because I had defied him.Nathan was playing a dangerous game. Or I was.And he was trying to pass a message.Because he hadn't just left them dead.He had left them mutilated. Torn apart like they'd been attacked by something inhuman. And then, yesterday, five of Thorne's wolves were found the same way. With mine, another three.Another message. Another warning.Join me, or everyone dies. That's when I knew I had to come here. Had to warn Thorne, even if it killed me to do it.Because whatev

  • Claimed by the Damned Alpha King   The Enemy of My Enemy

Chapter 91: The Enemy of My EnemyDANTEThe second I walked into that council chamber, the first thing I smelled was blood.Fresh blood. Still warm. Pooling on the marble floor in dark, spreading puddles and it smelled refreshing. It was one thing I loved about Thorne. This was his signature.Always making a statement. Always showing everyone exactly who held the power here.I kept my face neutral as my eyes scanned the room, taking in the scene—council members looking shell-shocked, guards standing at attention with their hands on their weapons, and there, in the center of it all, was Thorne himself.Covered in blood. Holding court like some ancient king after a battle. The bodies were already being dragged away, but I could see the remains. Two men. Executed brutally, publicly, and without mercy. My jaw tightened, but I forced myself to smile. To play the role I'd come here to play."Alpha King Thorne," I said, my voice steady. "I came as soon as I heard. I'm devastated by this trag

  • Claimed by the Damned Alpha King   Heads on Stakes

Chapter 90: Heads on StakesTHORNEI'd known they were lying the moment they opened their fucking mouths.Known it from the way Stephen's heartbeat spiked when he spoke—I could hear it, fast and erratic like a rabbit's. From the way Anthony couldn't meet my eyes, kept looking at his father for support. From the fucking audacity of thinking they could stand in my court and accuse my wife of seducing them.My wife. The woman I'd just claimed last night. The woman who was still sore from my touch, limping because of what I'd done to her body. The woman who'd screamed my name so loud the entire pack heard it.And they thought they could take her from me? Thought they could violate what was mine?I'd been patient. Given them chances to tell the truth. To confess. To beg for forgiveness. But I'd been waiting for one of them to slip. Waiting for the mask to crack. And Anthony—stupid, arrogant Anthony—had just handed me exactly what I needed. The perfect fucking reason to show them how far I
