GRIFFIN's POV

I lay in bed, wide eyed as I stared at the ceiling. My hands were at the back of my head and sleep was far from me. I kept replaying the words Enzo had told me, over and over again. At this point, it felt like there was a broken record in my head.

The alpha’s words were definitely a threat. His words meant that he could replace me at the beta of the clan, and choose some else. The realisation hit me the moment he spoke those words to me. It took me all I could to not utter curses at him. How could he threaten to replace me when I had been his beta for years? I had tried my best to be loyal to him through out the years.

I sighed and turned over to my side. I could not get replaced no matter what. If I did, that means I would lose my reputation and respect I had managed to attain. I would go back to being a regular wolf. I shuddered at the thought.
