My eyes blinked open slowly to the familiar confines of the penthouse. The sterile ceiling above, the grand chandeliers, the well-painted walls—and the most surprising of it all was the sense of peace that hung thick in the air. This was new. Peace was like a luxury we couldn't afford. We were always restless, but this……

And the fact that I actually SLEPT.

We haven't been able to sleep in years since mother was poisoned to death before us and our father labelled us as cursed and chased us out of the pack.
