__Playing hard to get

The CEO was angry. He didn't expect Mia yo go against him like that. With just one word,  he could end her career. How dare her?

"You..."

"You want me to audition?",  Jay asked.

He admired her courage.

His life had been boring for a while and it seems he had finally found something interesting.

This writer seems to be the joke he had been wanting.

" I will do the audition then"

Mia stared at him and the words rolled out.

"You will have to stand in the line too. You're the last person",  She told him.

Jay smiled.

" Okay"

CEO Alistair could not believe his ears. Did he just witness someone using the honey trap? This is more or less a beauty trap.

He glanced at Mia. There is nothing distinct about her features. She had a common face.

What's happening? Is Jay trying to punish her in his own way.

"Mr Boone, I will talk to Ms. Quinn. You really don't need to audition",  Zander told him.

Everyone knows the kind of actor Jay Boone is. He had won several awards and he is very good at acting.

" I will audition since the script writer wants me to ", Jay insisted.

Zander glanced at Mia who seems uninterested in the discussion and doesn't seems to be willing to take back her words.

" You have to forgive Ms. Quinn. She just came back to B-city. Just let it go", Zander said.

"Ms. Quinn, you wants me to audition right?",  Jay asked Mia.

Mia nodded.

" To be fair to everyone, you have to audition. If the role is decided just like that, what about those that are outside waiting to audition? They are human being like us and we should treat everyone equal", Mia said.

Jay laughed.

Fair? Is there fairness in this world? The world itself is not fair!

But since this girl believed there is fairness. He is going to do what she wants. There are a lot of steps in wooing a woman. He have to please her first.

"Okay,  since Ms Quinn want fairness, I will audition and I will try my best to showcase the  Male lead character",  Jay Boone said.

" Best of lucks", Mia wished.

Jay was amused.

"Mia",  he called.

" Be professional please", Zander told him.

"Why am I not professional? Mia, do you mind me calling you by your name?",  he asked.

"Call me Mia. It sounds good",  Mia told him.

Jay laughed.

" I fell for you at first sight Mia Quinn. Do me a favour and be the cockroach in my cupboard ", Jay told her.

Mia sized him and said. " Cliche"

Jay widen his eyes 

CEO Alistair shook his head and walked out.

It seems he is not needed here anymore.

"Let's start, Mr Kingston", Mia told Zander.

" Oh.. ok", Zander said.

Jay followed Mia.

"Do you need a man to do groceries for you and carry your bag? Then you need not go far, I'm just the right guy for you",  He told her.

Mia paused.

Jay thought she is moved. After all, he is handsome and popular among girls.Any girl will want him to carry their bag around. 

"Get out and wait for your turn",  Mia told him.

Jay was dumb folded.

" Okay", he said and walked out.

He can understand. Maybe she doesn't want to seem too cheap. It's normal to play hard to get.

He will wait for her. He is quite good ay waiting.

Jay is in a very good mood that he waited in the waiting room with all the other actors.

Seeing him, those actors knew they are just here as formality. The actor is decided but they can consider themselves lucky to be in the same audition with Jay Boone.

Mia chose so many character in the movie but she couldn't find someone that suited the main lead.

She knew very well that that guy had the look and aura of the male lead but she didn't know if he can act well.

"Director Kingston, Is that guy from earlier a idol actor or is he good at acting?",  She asked him.

" You see, I don't usually take actors decided without audition too but having Jay in the crew is the best for us.

We wil gain a lot from him.

He is a good actor and he also have a solid fan base so our drama will surely hit high at the box office.", Zander explained.

"See hos acting for your self, Miss Quinn",  Zander told her.

Mia smiled.

" Last person", the director's assistant called and Jay strolled in.

"I missed you, Mia",  he said.

" Start. Do the scene when the male lead found out that his girlfriend was kidnapped by his own nemesis", Director Zander told him while Mia ignored him and continue scribbling on her memo.

Jay wanted to show her how good he is.

He immersed himself in the acting and when he is done acting, everyone in the room tgat had been silence for a while clapped_including Mia. She appreciated talents when she saw talent.

"Bravo",  Mia said.

 It's her voice  accompanied with the clapping that push Jay out of his daze.

" How is it?", he asked, His gaze on Mia.

"You are good",  Mia told him.

" Of course I know that. I'm Jay Boone after all. Are you disappointed? I'm sure you thought I was a vase", he told her.

Mia blinked.

That was exactly what she thought.

"So did I get the role?",  He asked.

" It's up to director Kingston", Mia told him.

She turned to the crew.

"You worked hard today",  she said.

" I will meet with your manager. Let's sign the contract tomorrow. We will kickstart with a dinner on Sunday and start the shooting on tuesday", Zander told him.

"oh..okay",  Jay said.

He walked to Mia who is packing her things.

" Mia, let's eat dinner", he told her.

Mia did not even look up at him.

"Do I know you?",  she asked.

Jay sighed.

'still playing hard to get huh? It can be really tiring but he can manage. After all loving someone doesn't happen everyday. I will just chase her'

" C'mon it's just dinner", he told her.

"Weirdo, why should I eat with a stranger?", She asked him.

She turned to Zander ad said smiling.

" Good night director Kingston"Mia said,  turned and walked away.

Jay hurry after her.

"Wait for me",  he said.
