Hideous paced back and forth in his office, his usually calm demeanor replaced by an air of restlessness and anxiety. Papers lay forgotten on his desk as he anxiously awaited any news about Sherly's condition. His mind raced with worry, his thoughts consumed by fear for his daughter's safety.
