Geneva Bloodlines

“Compliments of Her Majesty,” he answered coolly. “She expects your loyalty to remain… unbroken.”

Lucian ignored him, grasping my hand instead. His fingers were rough and shaking with restrained wrath. “Stay close. If they touch you ”

“They won’t.” I clutched his hand, pushing my own panic into steel resolve. “We bring our son home. Nothing else matters.”

We went across the cold forest, silent as shadows. The fortress rose before us, a black monolith of stone and magic, its walls buzzing with protective wards. As we descended into the tunnels, the wet air smelled of moss, old bones, and iron magic.

Halfway down the spiralling steps, Lucian halted abruptly, his head cocked.

“What is it?” I muttered, breath puffing white in the frigid darkness.

He turned to me slowly, eyes flashing with a wild, savage brightness. “He’s awake.”

“What?” My heart smashed against my ribs. “Aaron?”

“I can feel him,” he rasped, voice shaking with fierce hope. “His wolf is rising.”

Elara AwakensBlood. The smell was heavy and metallic, and it filled the air. My wolf howled inside of me, scratching my ribs as I ran down the hall with Aaron shaking against my breast. The world around me blurred as fluorescent lights flickered above me, alarms rang in the distance, and my mate's ferocious growl echoed behind me. "Mommy Daddy " Aaron whined as he held on to my top with his small hand so firmly that I could feel his claws breaking flesh. "Don't let him die. Please. "Please." I skidded to a stop at the end of a hallway that had been wrecked, my chest heaving. My entire body trembled with anguish as my wolf climbed higher, speaking through my veins. Go back. Go back to him. Complete the connection. Save him. But terror choked me, just as it did five years ago when I retreated from Lucian’s land beneath moonless nights, holding the hidden life I carried in my belly. My heartbeat thundered so loudly I scarcely heard the bootsteps behind me until it was too late.

Damien’s LabAs we went down the last rusty staircase into the void, the smell of bleach and old blood burnt my nose. My heart beat so hard that it felt like it would burst out of my chest. Every time the fluorescent lights above us flickered, we saw another horror: cages with broken chains and bloodstains, iron beds with medical restraints, and glass tanks that hummed with strange energy.Lucian's fingers clenched around mine, while he held his silver blade in the other hand. In the dark, his wolf eyes shone like molten gold. "Stay behind me." No matter what.I gulped hard and made my shaking legs move. "Aaron... I can hear his heart beating."“Where?” he growled, examining every dark corner, every flickering shadow."Over there." I pointed to a steel door at the end of the passage, its surface carved with ancient runes throbbing with twisted magic. Terror curled up my spine like ice claws. “Lucian, those runes… they’re bloodbound.”He turned to me, his visage sculpted from rage and

Bloodbound Prophecy“Everything,” he muttered, stroking his cool fingertips down my cheek. “You see, Elara… the Council’s wards were not meant to keep foes out. They were meant to hold you in.”My breath caught. “What… what are you saying?”He grinned, standing back to sweep his arms at the destroyed chamber. “Your mother was never banished for defying the Council. She was banished because she mated with me a cursed blood wizard descended from the Reaver Kings. You were born to shatter the seal confining the Reavers in the Veil Realm. You are their vessel, their key… their queen.”I staggered back, nausea rising in my throat as Aaron sobbed against me. “You’re lying.”“Am I?” He went to Damien, who still grasped his ripped throat, healing with terrible magic. “Tell her.”Damien’s eyes shone with ardent desire. “You were never meant to be free, Elara. You were bred for this. To awaken the Reaver bloodlines and reinstate their dominion of shadows to this world.”I shook my head violentl

Hunt for AaronThe night smelled of blood and iron as I crouched beside Lucian on the roof of a dilapidated warehouse overlooking East LA’s supernatural area. The moon was a sliver of silver fury above us, slashing through the storm clouds with a fierce radiance that painted his profile in stark, fatal beauty. “Where is he?” I mumbled, eyeing the neon-streaked streets below where rogue wolves and vampires swapped secrets in dark alleys and shattered clubs. Lucian didn’t answer immediately. His wolf eyes gleamed molten silver, pupils slit like a predator as his nostrils expanded, scenting the wind for Aaron’s trail. His fists were gripped on his knees, claws halfway out, shaking with control. “Don’t shut me out now,” I said, my fingers caressing his stiff jaw. “Don’t become the monster they want.” His gaze flicked to me. Pain flared there, breaking through the rage barely for a moment. “I already am, Elara. They just haven’t learnt to fear me enough yet.” A hot tear slipped d

Broken Vows“I never wanted you to find out like this.”My voice trembled as I stood barefoot in the illuminated shrine, peering into the obsidian mirror engraved with ancient runes. My mirror danced between me and the shadow of the woman I used to be the one who believed in redemption. The woman who felt Lucian could love her eternally. But the truth burned too brilliantly to conceal anymore.“Say it again.” Lucian’s voice was a deep, guttural demand behind me, his wolf pacing in his words like a quiet storm. “Say it, Elara.”I turned, tears streaming down my face. His hair was damp from the rain outside, plastered across his forehead, shadows cutting across his fierce cheekbones. Lightning flared outside the windows of the old chapel, revealing the misery in his eyes.“I’m the prophecy’s vessel, Lucian.” My voice cracked. “Aaron… Aaron isn’t just your son. He’s the catalyst. The Council wants his blood because it would awaken the dormant gene in hundreds of hybrids throughout the co
