She’d spent the whole day with the other women; it was strange and she wasn’t sure how she felt about it. Not being around the women, but what they considered pampering. Why was plucking at her eyebrows considered pampering? It hurt!!
And then they went on to cover her eyebrows and lashes in this weird gunk and she had to lie there with her eyes closed or it would burn. Apparently that was called tinting her lashes and eyebrows.
She was startled when someone suddenly took her hand and she squeaked in shock. Ilene giggled on the bed next to her. “You’ll get used to it, Ember. This is such fun!” She reassured her.
