Chapter 19 Hughes & Dominic

Third Person's POV

Alpha Hughes sat there at his desk listening to Dominic read off the report on training and patrols. But for some reason, Hughes just couldn't focus on what he was saying.

All Hughes could think about was the tears in his mate's eyes. The blood on his hand from the glass. The betrayal, that was almost palpable, and the way his lip trembled.

Hughes abruptly stood up, and Dominic stopped talking, confused at the anger that flashed across the Alpha's face.

Dominic watched Hughes walk over to the cabinet. He pulled a glass and a bottle of rum out, then began pouring himself a glass.

Dominic sat there confused as Hughes downed a glass, before pouring himself another. He downed the second glass as he walked back to his desk, with the bottle in his hand.

"I'm sorry, continue." Alpha Hughes said as he poured himself another glass.

Dominic raised an eyebrow.

"Is everything okay?"
